I was having a problem shipping and couldn't find an answer through "FAQ's" (who ever does anyway!). I had a long wait as there were 40 people ahead of me. I waited and it was worth it since I was connected to Roderick, who was absolutely amazing. It was a fairly complex issue since I had 25 items in my suite and one was problematic. He helped me deal with that and set it aside and then got to the other ones and there was still a problem. He advised changing the shipping method and waited patiently till I was able to submit the order successfully. He was an absolute pleasure to deal with - professional, patient, helpful.
Roderick from myus support was awesome! Helped me fixed a review issue and boom! Everything set!. 4 stars cause I was number 69 on the wait list hehe.

Stay away, they do not care at all about the customer.
Very bad my first experience with them.
First, I placed the order by accident since I thought there was 1 more step before completing, this of paypal verification, which never asked! After first shock that my order placed without asking my PayPal code I tried to cancel the order immediately, since the prices were not cheaper than Greece (312 $) incl. Fee and transportation charges. I sent them email, chat etc. and they replied me 2 days after saying that it was not possible to cancel the order although the status order had not yet changed to confirmed. This happened 4 days later and beyond my efforts even with dispute to PayPal I did not manage to cancel it.
But the worst happened 3 weeks after when my package arrived to Athens. They called me from the airport customs that I should pay import taxes, VAT, customs fee, storage fee etc 200 euro!
I have made many purchases from countries and sites, non European, but never happened to me this, since the sellers protect their customers and send the packages with simple mail in order to avoid customs.
This awful MyUs sent my package through FEDEX although they knew (I did not unfortunately) that this would cost me so much!
Please spread this to all your friends in order to avoid this cheating and crook company.

Roderick is so helpful and nice. When I have some question and find least four time CS. And Roderick is the most helpful to me and very effective.
On my very first order sent to MyUS, they logged my item into some else's account (they call the "suites"), and shipped my item to another customer.

I have subsequently read a very high number of bad reviews about this company and their abusive practices. I await their response if any. Judging from the other unfavorable reviews, I suspect today's chat is the last I will hear from them. But they will hear more from me. I am retired and have nothing better to do than to keep reminding potential customers about my experiences with this company.

Answer: Micaela, it all depends on the rules in Peru. I'm a MyUS customer and one of the reasons I like their service is because they give me a discount on the shipping cost, each time. There's an option in your shipping settings where you can select 'label as gift', usually customs aren't charged on gift items. Maybe you should try that once. Works for me all the time.
