Users appreciate the regular updates and the powerful search capabilities that facilitate discoveries. However, concerns arise regarding customer service, particularly related to billing issues and the difficulty of reaching support. Some users have reported feeling overwhelmed by the volume of information and have encountered challenges in verifying data. Overall, while the service is praised for its features, improvements in customer support and communication are necessary to enhance user satisfaction.

After 3 weeks, myheritage cannot find any matches for my DNA upload. I did the same with GEDmatch, 500-600 matches within 24 hours.
I think the Myheritage DNA match service is a con, they quite clearly do not have either the skills or the data to work with, yet do not admit it.
Use Gedmatch, its free and very very professsional
Atentamente Alberto Rojas Icaza
I have purchases the premium program for heritage.com It is a wonderful place to dig up information on you genealogy. I have added lots of people and keep finding more and more. I do wish their online site woulld do a better job of providing a family tree that one could navigate. It works well on their mobile app but I can't figure out how to duplicate that on their computer site. Maybe I just don't know how. Anyway it is a great program.
Every time I have had an issue with my tree on MyHeritage, they have responded quickly and professionally. I have utmost trust that when I have a problem, they will find a way to fix it quickly. Thanks for being there.

I was doing a family search and came up with a match on this website but I couldn't access the information without registering and giving my credit card details even though the site says that you have a 14 days FREE trial. I soon realised that the information was useless and (I thought) deleted my registration. 14 days later my credit card was debited $160+AUD. I raised a transaction dispute with my bank for an unauthorised transaction, About a week later someone at MyHeritage called me and all they wanted to do was talk over me but when I said the word FRAUD several times I'm now getting a full refund.
Representative: Annut was unhelpful, rude and very disrespectful from the very beginning of the call. Never allowed me to finish of my questions, always cutting me off and talking a whole load of crap I did not want to hear about. When I tried to interject she just went even louder and louder until I could not even hear myself. I do not know what kind of training they run, but this is not customer service and they seriously need to get there $#*! together. I wish I could give them a negative -5 stars rating right now!
My recent experience with MyHeritage Genealogy/ancestry is horrible. I was talked into a Premium Support account which is also horrible. One person after another in there support department is an idiot! Yes, if they think they can sell you something, they are so friendly, but is you are have trouble, forget about it. I's not saying they're worse than any of the others, they probably all are bad.
I was surprised to get a personal Email back in a timely manner explaining exactly how to remove a duplicate entry. Thanks for your help. Gary T.
I live in Switzerland and recently used the customer service in German. Roger and the support team helped promptly and completely to my satisfaction. I therefore can recommend "My Heritage" for their support, without pressure to buy a program.
Ich kann "My Heritage" empfehlen, weil der Service und Unterstützung durch Roger und sein Team in Deutschland perfekt funktioniert haben.

I had a problem with syncing photos between PC's. I thought I wouldn't get Customer Service as I only use the free version, but they (Thamar) were most helpful with personalised advice on my problem.
Would definitely recommend MyHeritage as a way to build your family tree.
I had a problem with one person appearing twice in my family tree. I contacted MyHeritage Support and Ron solved the question quickly, courteously and efficiently. Thank you, Ron!
I've been with Ancestry.com for a while and found the site to be quite good, but didn't like the layout of the family tree. My Heritage look better in this respect so I joined up.
Within minutes I realised my mistake. The initial payment just seem to cover the use of the site and you have to pay extra to see any records. I spent five days trying to cancel, in the end getting a phone call offering me a free MONTH!
When I tried to get my subscription returned, I was told it had already been 'activated'. I have cancelled my membership - I hope!
In future I will stick with the very helpful (and free) LDS and Ancestry.
My Heritage -? AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!,

J'ai été souvent aidé avec courtoisie et beaucoup de détails. Des photos disparaissaient sans raison apparente et le problème a été réglé.
I CANCELLED THE MEMBERSHIP WITHIN 10 DAYS AND THEY STILL DEBITED MY CREDIT CARD, WHEN I SENT AN EMAIL IN REGARDS TO THIS, THEY PHONED ME TO OFFER ME THE MEMBERSHIP AT HALF PRICE WHICH I DECLINED STILL WAITING FOR MY FUNDS TO BE CREDITED BACK TO MY ACCOUNT... THE CUSTOMER SERVICE LADY THAT PHONED ME WAS SHOCKING TO THIS DAY I STILL CANT BELIEVE THE WAY SHE SPOKE TO ME

I have had a very good experience with MyHeritage. The information I have received has enabled me to add many ancestors and facts about ancestors to my family tree. They send regular emails about matches that their software has found with other members' family trees and their process is simple and easy to learn. I recently asked for directions on how to turn off a feature and received a simple, effective suggestion the next day. The only fault I'll cite is that I wish there were details about the facts that other members cite - - how well those facts have been documented.
I also like many others here signed up to My Heritage used it for two years, just recently cancelled following years subscriptions citing too high costs - yes costs as there are two elements for the Premium Plus (mugged). One was for Worldwide Membership and the other for Data totalling approx £250.00. As far as being able to search family records within UK this was pretty useless for me as my family roots are in Central Scotland. Whilst there are a lot of people around the world with tenuous links to my extended family their information appeared in the majority of cases to be unproven in connection to mine, therefore were at best suggestions which I then needed to verify but through other sources as My Heritage is unable to provide links to sufficient verifiable authoritative records in Scotland. So as stated at over £200 last year I have removed my information and cancelled my membership. Technoplod
I also signed up for free 14 day trial. Went on it 17 times 4 of those times trying to figure out how to cancel. Called help line on hold for 1/2 our with recording telling me I was next in line. When representative came on line she rude and condescending. This is the worst experience I have had with an Ancestry sight. The would only give me half my money back even though I told them I would not be using there sight again and was deleting my account which I did.

"My child wanted to do research. Had difficulty with the so called trial and billing last year. And as a kid, she did not turn off auto renewal. Don't forget to have your kid turn off auto renewal! My kid did not and was charged $175.12. Even though I caught it early, they were only willing to take off $61.29. Not good customer service. Will never use them again."
I wrote this review and Dean P. From myheritage.com left a message to contact him. He stated to send an email from the myheritage account with his name in the subject line and he would get it. So I did. This failed miserably. I received a generic email from myheritage.com customer service. I did this twice with the same result. Then I private messaged Dean P. From this site. He responded immediately, and stated he would look into the situation. The first answer was not what I was looking for, and after another email stating what I did want, Dean P. Stated he would look into this for me. A couple of weeks passed, I private messaged Dean P. Again from this site. He stated that he was working on it, and he was waiting for a response from the billing company who handles myheritage charges. I am happy to say that a few days ago I received the balance of the money originally charged. Thank you Dean P.

Answer: My issue was the automatic renewal without any kind of courtesy reminder prior to the effective date, as other businesses do. Advising one year in advance is a poor business practice. When I contacted them immediately on the renewal effective date, they refused to cancel and offered me a 25% discount. They eventually gave me the full refund but it was due to me turning it over to AMEX to resolve. I do however agree with the advice to base your renewal on your own personal experience.
Answer: You can find your site subscriptions via MyHeritage homepage - pull-down menu on the right upper corner button "Settings". Then click on "My purchases", and button "Site subscriptions". Click "View details". The details contain section "Cancel subscription". Maybe you can get advice by mail from MyHeritage support team (support@myheritage.com).
Answer: If you are looking to get as many connections to your tree that you can, use My Heritage. If you want flexibility in who is added to your tree, use Ancestry.
Answer: Dear Jonathan, Yes I have the same problem, I wrote to My Heritage and they have still not responded to my request for assistance. They are highly Sloppy and unprofessional in responding to customer request for assistance. Even though they have and excellent Technical Team. Fortunately I have another Computer with Windows 8 as a result of which I am able to continue working with my Website. But recently a few problems have cropped up with the recent upgrade of the My Heritage Program and have sent in a request for assistance and till today 3-5 months later I have no response. Apparently the company believes that they can play games with the customers. I firmly believe that they have somehow gone into self destructive mode.

Answer: Hi After posting my complaint about MyHeritage on here I got a very quick response from some one called Dave at the company. He told me to send an email to support@myheritage.com and add the subject Dave: sitejabber. He responded a couple of days later - I emailed on a Saturday - and the auto repeat on my subscription was cancelled and my money refunded within days. Hope this helps.
