Tried it for the 14 day trial to compare to my other family tree website. Charged the fee - I have trying to get it back for weeks. Customer support is NON existant. When I call no one is there that can access my details to refund, when they call me its late at night (when I sleep). Really not happy, very unhelpful. Would not recommend at all.

The site itself is not bad but I only wanted the 14 day trial so I could compare it to Ancestry. Well I cancelled but was charged $119 anyway and now I'm getting emails that they are trying to charge me another $119 for something called "data"... no I idea what's going on and I've called them and Google.

I am MyHeritage customer for a couple of years. In general I do like the site, it has rich feature list and relatively straightforward use.
The weak points are:
- Very slow support (my ticket is for a week without response: I am premium plus member)
- The picture upload to another Tree Builder instance (on another computer) is unreliable
- There I no easy way to merge two trees that share some persons
I have had great fun making our family tree.
My Heritage is a great way to build a family tree and learn more about our history.
My Heritage makes it pretty simple to add new family and make changes.
The support system is wonderful and very informative.
Thanks so much and I appreciate the different levels and no pressure to go premium!

My Heritage offers an in-depth coverage of family research. The site accesses many databases which enable me to follow up my ancestors. There is so many resources it is difficult to actually travel one road at a time. In order to get the best out of My Heritage, I research all that I can. And then there are a variety of reports. I can view my history in many different formats depending on my preference. I have been using this tool for a couple of years now and have recently renewed. Highly addictive. Highly Recommended.

Customer support through e-mail and phone is atrocious; e-mail "matches" are pretty far-fetched.
This is a full functioned application. I've found many people in my family that I didn't know existed. After a month or so, just a few speed bumps. Support was slow for one of my problems, but once they responded, they followed up. Too bad you have to pay extra to do real, in depth searches. And beyond MyHeritage's control, contacting other site managers means wait who knows how long for a response.
I had no idea of what I could do in order to build my Family Tree.The amazing and powerful tools proposed by the software My Heritage Family Tree have been a great help to me as well as a significant time saving.
Itai was most patient and helpful with all my questions regarding accessing My Heritage on my main computer and my laptop.

I am 98.9% Asian. They sent me an alert that I have 2nd to 3rd cousins, once removed who are all Anglo. Not one Asian. They also showed me as being "christened" at the Church of God in Belfast!. Never been there! I tried to delete myself from the website and the password that I used to logged in would not work was curiously the incorrect password!

After owning a software company for 20+ years, this site epitomizes the lack of importance placed on support. I was hung up on twice, then the rep continually spoke over and my ability to ask a question was hampered to the point I asked for supervisor. Then asked for support in America, has none. Having help to existing users is one of the best and worst things about any company. You can either make or break the future. I needed help. All I got was rudeness; so much so if I can find a substitute I will gladly do so!

MyHeritage is a professional site and handles its search challenges well. However two way guidance and patience is needed by all. It has mapped out my maternal side family history back to the early 1700's and this has provided valuable ancestral tracking closure for me. I am very grateful for this
I maintain my family tree, as well as a wider project based on my surname (2000+ individuals) and publish my results on Ancestry, FamilySearch, GeneaNet and WikiTree. I have tried tools from all of these, none of them come close to the MyHeritage/Family Tree Builder combination. Good sources management, ease of use for voluminous data entries (in FTB), best web design, which particularly important when sharing tree with non computer savvy family members.
£90 was taken from my account even though the account should have been cancelled after the trial. My Bank Card had already been cancelled so my Bank say this is fraudulent and I am not going to authorise it. I was 1st in the queue when I phoned but no one came on the line.

I taked to a very nice person who treated me very well, but I have not seen any real help. I had this very nice person help me upload my DNA, and have been watching to see some results. Since it has been more than a week ago, I expected to see something show up on my account. Nothing has showed up. I'm very sad.
Answer: My issue was the automatic renewal without any kind of courtesy reminder prior to the effective date, as other businesses do. Advising one year in advance is a poor business practice. When I contacted them immediately on the renewal effective date, they refused to cancel and offered me a 25% discount. They eventually gave me the full refund but it was due to me turning it over to AMEX to resolve. I do however agree with the advice to base your renewal on your own personal experience.
Answer: You can find your site subscriptions via MyHeritage homepage - pull-down menu on the right upper corner button "Settings". Then click on "My purchases", and button "Site subscriptions". Click "View details". The details contain section "Cancel subscription". Maybe you can get advice by mail from MyHeritage support team (support@myheritage.com).

They are highly Sloppy and unprofessional in responding to customer request for assistance. Even though they have and excellent Technical Team. But recently a few problems have cropped up with the recent upgrade of the My Heritage Program and have sent in a request for assistance and till today 3-5 months later I have no response. Answer: Hi After posting my complaint about MyHeritage on here I got a very quick response from some one called Dave at the company. He told me to send an email to support@myheritage.com and add the subject Dave: sitejabber. He responded a couple of days later - I emailed on a Saturday - and the auto repeat on my subscription was cancelled and my money refunded within days. Hope this helps.
