Their furniture is made very cheaply. They will sell you a Goof Proof warranty this is good for 5 years. What they don't tell you is that if the furniture just falls apart because it is made so cheaply the warranty won't cover it! I will never buy another thing from this place!
I just had the Tremont Full Espresso Bed delivered to my home yesterday and I'm extremely unhappy with it. After the delivery person who put it together for me left, I immediately noticed that the bed was wobbling back and forth and side to side. When I slept on it that night the problem was even worse. The bed provides a horribly unacceptable level of support to my mattress and I woke up with a stiff neck and sore back.
The headboard wobbles back and forth as does the entire bed even when you move around very slightly while sleeping because the brackets that are supposed to hold the bed together are weak, too small, and there are not enough of them.
Thank you Henry for making our several shopping experiences both in store and by phone so pleasant. You know your merchandise well, have a great repoire with customers and couldn't be more helpful. Bob's is certainly high on our shopping list thanks to you!
What a disgrace of a company! I ordered a bunch of furniture to be delivered which it arrived. The workers drop two items breaking them which they left at the house. Other items were broken (headboard, chest and some chairs) upon unboxing them. They left them in the house unassembled and broken. We schedule an exchange date, which the drivers came to the house as we opened the front door the driver took off and drove past our house three time. We called customer service …. Of course they are located in India. By the time they contacted the driver they were at the other job site. Oops sorry we have to reschedule - that adds 2 more weeks to the 3 weeks we been waiting. Contact our sales person and the sales manager with … you got ZERO response. So now it's time to get my lawyer involved to have them come and get all the furniture as they are now in breach of contract.
I recommend you stay away! Pay the extra money for better quality and better customer service.
I ordered a dresser and two night stands on 1/19/21. I am still waiting to PICK UP my order. First I was told it would be ready for pick up on Friday 1/22 and then on Friday 1/29. Well there is still no email to pick up my order. Never again will I sacrifice service to save a few dollars!
They sell poor quality merchandise. Have terrible customer service. Their insurance plans are a ripoff. They will not stand behind the junk they sell. File an online complaint with the NYS Attorney General. A class action lawsuit need to be filed against them. Based on so many bad reviews they need to be forced to give refunds, fined and driven out of business. I am sure there are many others who have had bad experience but don't complain. Any positive reviews they have, have to be written by employees and their friends and relative.
I've never been so pissed off in my life. Bob's furniture gave me a time frame from 345 to 745 they didn't show up at my house until 9pm... On top of that they were at the wrong house but they couldn't understand me because they didn't speak a lick of English. They kept asking if I wanted a different delivery day... No I've been home all $#*!ing day waiting for you guys. And I can see your damn truck they were awful never again will I ever go to Bob's
Purchased a $4K+ bedroom set from them and it has been a nightmare so far. Original delivery had damaged pieces and wrong pieces were ordered. Mattress is incorrect, was supposed to have had the new mattress delivered today per the store manager, called customer service as it has not arrived and was told it is in stock but cannot be delivered for at least three days. Had a second dresser delivered and it looks like a two year old built it. Tech came out to look the dresser and agreed. Dresser can not make it here until March 25th. Think I am just going to have them come get the furniture and be done with it.
We have spent over 10,000$$ on furniture and every thing we bought came broken and damaged and my im sleeping on the floor and now i have serious back pains so if you read this don't buy from this furniture store.
There was a manufacturer's defect on my sofa... a technician came to fix the side that was damaged but also adjusted the other side & now the bed frame is not aligned. Had an other technician come to see it but said its not a manufacturer's defect... it should be a technician's defect & now say that they are not responsible for it. Before the technician left he assured me that he will let corporate know & have it correctly fixed... beware of technicians luis & victor if you will have your furniture repaired... they will damage it
I went to Bob's to purchase a new mattress on Saturday. Corinne our sales associate and Kaleb the manager were both helpful and very professional during our experience. Corinne knew what she was talking about and easily was able to share her knowledge. I would highly recommend Corinne. She made my husband and I feel comfortable with her upbeat personality and her caring nature. She really was the best! Kaleb accompanied Corinne, and it was clear that together they had a wonderful rapport which put my husband and I at ease. What a great team!
I would never recommend anyone to do business with Bob's Furniture store. I ordered a Queen size bed frame and they delivered a "full-size" frame. I had to wait over 30 days for them to remove it from on home. On the day they were supposed to remove it, it didn't happen. I was paying for a bed that I didn't have. I had to sleep on my couch for more than a month. Finally, I had to go to the store and cancel everything and request my money back. It was a horrifying experience. Cusomer service is unprofessional. It was a letdown. I learned my lesson.
I'm referring to Bob's Discount Furniture. We went to the store in Delaware to buy an adjustable bed, found one we wanted and the salesman wrote it up. So far, so good. THEN, the manager came over and that all changed. We had told the salesperson we didn't want to purchase their over priced mattress covers as I wanted to buy our own better ones. The manager had a HUGE problem with that and proceeded to attempt to force it on us! After I said no and he left he came back AGAIN to try to force the issue. He was VERY rude, unprofessional and pushy. Not sure what his name was but he was middle eastern and obviously not accustomed with dealing with American women.
We bought a kids loft bed for our son. The wood split when they were assembling it, we reported it that day. A drawer on the bed is broken also. They had someone come out to paint over the split wood. The paint did not even match. We called and they said they would replace the entire bed. Today they came out had all the wrong pieces my husband said that he thought they were replacing the entire bed he said no just parts. This new rail has a hole in it. This place is a joke. Cheapest materials and the price wasn't cheap. Completely dissatisfied will never shop here again. I wish I could upload pictures.
Bought this sofa over year ago and the memory foam seems to have amnesia, the couch did not hold up very long before deforming and losing it's comfort. I wouldn't recommend this to my worse enemy. Definition of the worse in the industry this product would top the charts..

Warranty garbage and they don't cover anything with the goof proof more like proof i'll look like a goof when i need it 2500 bucks in trash was purchased and they don't cover it under warranty
The supervisor was also a waste to talk to they blamed it on covid why they couldn't resolve my issue sooner after i said that better not be your excuse to get out of covering for the warranty and that's exactly what happen. They prolong the process just to tell me the warranty expired. I warned you not to waste your time with bobs $#*!ty home furniture but up to you if you want your hard earn money to go in the trash
I ordered a dresser when I got it it was damaged. I don't even know why they would of packed that one up. I tried ordering it again. That one was damaged. Ok so we said one more try. We ordered a completely different one. It was delivered yesterday and guess what it was damaged. I will never order from there again. And when you call the store the talk over you. You have to talk over them to get a word in. Company is going down hill. They did nothing for me. Waiting for my refund.
It was truly a wonderful experience purchasing furniture at Bob's furniture store. I am truly happy with my Queen Tuscany Bedroom. Everything arrived on the date of delivery and it was in great shape. The salespeople at Bob's furniture are really great.
I just wanted to acknowledge and thank Ed for his knowledgeable help and honesty. I bought a large jewelry case off the floor. He immediately knew that it was the last one available. He told me that it would be ready for pickup the next day and it would be bubbled wrapped for protection. I showed up when the store opened and the case was perfectly wrapped and ready to go. What made this experience so positive for me, was the fact that this was Eds day off, and he made sure that my item was ready for pickup even thought he wasnt there that day. I would definitely ask for again if I returned to BObs. He really made it a positive experience.

Every call to their help center requires 1 hour and a half on hold. They have been here twice 8/11, the problem persists, 9/24 the problem persists and the technician said it should be replaced but I spoke with a supervisor Marybeth D and they refuse. I even purchased the GOOF Proof that is a Joke. STAY AWAY horrible quality and the service is worse... after they have your money
Answer: Bob's doesn't care... Bob Kaufman probably cared way back in the 70s and 80s, but this new ownership is all about lulling you in with a moderate pricing model and then sticking it to you after they have your money. There is no way any of those shysters are looking at (or care about) these reviews... let alone respond and actually hold themselves accountable. We are all disposable customers in Bob's World. The sales staff takes a lot of the heat I'm sure, but their assistance is to simply tell you to call Customer Care, which is an absolute joke of a service and clearly where they are saving the money... Michael Skirvin the CEO is a jerk and a poor man's 2-bit used car salesman.
