I have been going back and forth with Microsoft products and apple products with the pc. I will continue to have an apple product for certain things and Microsoft for some.
I purchased a app from the Microsoft store that I was able to download and use the first day. When I tried to use it over a week later I couldn't. I tried to troubleshoot, I even attempted to uninstall and reinstall, all this was to no avail. I asked for a refund and did not get it. I was finally able to uninstall and reinstall today 16 days after purchase and I am being prompted to repay for the same app I purchased, When calling MS I was on hold with rep 15 minuets to be told I was at the wrong department she then transferred me without assistance where I sat on hold almost 20 minuets, I am very disappointed.
... thing I got here is Win10. And it was free... I dunno if the store is worth using, guess just not for me. But if to say about the store - its navigation is quite convenient and intuitive - good design.
Garbage! Very Sloooow, many many imperfections. If you haven't downloaded it yet; DON'T! Crap apps, to try to sell you shti, that eat your computer's memory. 1/2 hr later after disabling them all, you can almost use it. Good for the nostalgia of 1920's radio when you had to wait 10 minutes before the tubes warmed up. They rushed this ludicrous DOWNgrade, so maybe in 2018 they'll have most of the bugs out.It should never have gone live. Now I Have to pay to have windows 8.1 reinstalled. What a treat! No steps forward & 7 back.
Have to give it one star. Was simply trying to purchase and activate pre-installed Office on a new computer. Even after the charge showed on my credit card account, the store did not (and could not through Chat or phone) send activation code until "authorization" review had been completed by accounting, but accounting wasn't open.
Then after receiving code and following all the annoying steps, Office still would not activate.
Long story short: avoid this site unless you want a quick trip back to the 1970s. Ante-diluvian in all respects. Possibly the worst online site I've ever dealt with.
The microsft store is straight forward and has the best microsoft products and software. I think that pretty much everyone uses the microsoft office suite and it is a great option. What I wish is for microsoft to try and reduce their prices because some of their products are really expensive.
I ordered games for xbox360 on Black Friday. Star Wars Kinect for $9.99. Microsoft store cancelled the order due to oversell, and still charged me the full amount on my card. When calling, I was assured they did not charge me the extra for the cancelled order... bank account says otherwise. Not good business to oversell, then cancel on customers during the Christmas season. Its 2 weeks later, I am scrambling for the game, and have to pay $40 more for it. Dont purchase through the website. Terrible customer service.
Microsoft is just the best. Of all the operating systems out there, the one withthe most users is windows. The microsoft store has a great variety of products ans they all work great. Even if they do not then they will just be improved. No one does it better.
In September of this year, our based Office 365 Personal. It didn't download to my computer and I have been asking Microsoft to refund my 70.00 ever since. I keep getting the run-around and even got the BBB involved and they haven't been able to secure my refund either. This is so disçoncerting.
I bought two laptops from Microsoft Store online and I id like the material and wanted to return them. So I took them to the Microsoft Store in the Galleria Houston to return them and they processed the return an told me that it will take two weeks to be processed as they need to ship them the online store warehouse. It has been two months now and yet I have not received my refund. I went to the store three times and called the online store costumer service more than 15 times and I was on hold for hours every time I called and every time i have been told that I should receive my refund in 3-5 business days. I still have not received my refund yet and paid a lot of late fees and interest on my credit card. I really don't know what to do.
Microsoft helped me resolve a problem with a Microsoft computer that wasn't even purchased through them. They helped me resolve the problem and helped me to purchase a new one through them... Never experience such customer service before!
I understand the idea of having a family plan, but it's ruining alot of peoples lives especially mine. I dont fully understand how to use microsoft business without someone from another country misguiding me, and you're promoting it, i was promised a free laptop and i never got it. I wanted to integrate my business and did everything by downloading everything microsft but it's more confusing now.
Until very recently, I thought MS had reformed and had begun to grasp the concept of customer service, having been burnt, for its previously arrogant and indifferent attitude.
Recently however, I have found Microsoft still has its "firewall" to act as a barricade to consumers. Replies to MS emails go to an address that is unmonitored. Invitations to "contact us" loop back to annoying FAQs - while no email address or on line support is available.
The reason that I hate the Microsoft app store is because some of the games that you can get for free on your mobile device or game console is not free on here or they just don't have it. I also believe that they are a scam, one day I bought an app called steam for 3$ and yeah, I know that's not a lot I know but once I purchased this app and it was finished downloading it didn't take me to the steam page that everyone that I knew had, it took me to a red a screen with some weird advertising on it, when tried to delete the app it wouldn't let me, It's not just this one app that I can't delete its every other app too. To be honest with you guys I regret my purchase i should have bought a chrome book or an apple computer because this one is so ridiculous also this computer is new and its already causing problems.
They have a store within my area. Prices are fair, inventory is good. Returns are handled in a professional and prompt manner with no hassles. Just make sure you keep your receipt.
His is for an online purchase, not a physical store but this seems to be the only location to make a comment: As of three days later the order still says "in process" for something that said nothing about a back order. I contacted customer service and it said it will take four days to even leave their facility. This is an Xbox One solid state system. It will take almost two weeks to receive the system, I see no reason for it to take four days for it to even get packaged and put in the mail in the first place. Disappointing. I will not purchase directly from the store again. It is faster (and in some cases cheaper) to go through another location like Amazon and it has the same warranties. I also received no confirmation of the order. One has to log in to the live account to see that, at least until about four days or so later according to the customer support when they actually ship it, at which point you will get a shipment tracking letter (I don't know for sure as this has not yet occurred). That said, here is what their site claims but does not fulfill: Standard free Arrives in 3-7 business days
I was amazed they had the best deal on headphones I was searching everywhere for. Received them in less the a week and are so happy. Will be shopping there more often
I love the minimalistic and clean layout. The ease of finding app like microsoft exclusives. The only game I bought and really only need on the store is minecraft, I may also get forza horizon 4. Job microsoft.
This was by far the worst experience I've ever had with a company. They are so incompetent at every step of the operation it's almost impressive that they're still in business. My warning is simple: if you can avoid, do so.
I won't write the whole story but I'll try to give a quick summary. I ordered a PC game online, and the order never went through, although they never told me that! I called them and they said I must wait "5-7 business days" before something is wrong and they will investigate the issue. After about 8 business days I called and spent literally 2.5 hours on the phone. I was put on hold at least 10 times for up to 25 minutes at a time, and the interaction involved at least 5 representatives and as many transfers. At each stage there was no hand-off so I had to re-explain the issue and go through a process involving confirmation that I was who I said I was.
I hoped this was the end of my saga but issues on their end continued to fail at EVERY STEP OF THE WAY and every step took the same "5-7 business days" before something is wrong and they will investigate the issue. So long story short, I dealt with the company through multiple phone calls, representatives, and failures on their end FOR 6 WEEKS before I finally got my refund. Honestly this almost seems illegal.
They wasted so much money in personnel costs on this one very simple issue that I can't imagine how they are still in business. In fact, isn't Microsoft a relatively respected brand? Baffling. I will never shop with them again and will warn everyone I know to stay away.
They really don't give the novice a choice on what to get for your software. The customer service is a joke and you will wait a very long time, to speak with someone halfway across the world.
