I purchased a surface pro about 2 1/2 years ago. Overall, I like the computer, but recently the battery swelled and the screen popped out from the casing. I went to the Microsoft store and they explained that the surface needed to be replaced. They could not replace the computer in the store since it had 1TB memory. I would have to do that online/phone support. I did contact Microsoft while at the store. The lady was helpful during the call and made sure they got the information. The item is under warranty, so that was the good news. Here is the bad. I use this computer for work, it still functions plugged into the wall. However, Microsoft decided that i need to send the computer to them and then they will get me a new computer. They will ship the new computer once they get my old computer. This process will take 11-13 business days once they get my computer. I explained that this was not acceptable. The supervisor tried to do some different things to help, but the answer was still, no. I offered to give them my credit card number. They could send me a new computer and i would send the old one back once I received the new computer. If not they had permission to charge the card. No luck. I use this computer for all my quickbooks, payroll, and software. This is the computer that i take home to do work as well. Guess I am forced to be without a computer for around 3 weeks. I will be looking at other options next time. The people were nice, but the policies of Microsoft are poor. I would recommend staying away from Microsoft, if you have a problem, they do not care!
So I was a fool and bought a Dell laptop with Vista I have had to reinstall the software about once a year, now it will not allow me to access apple, everytime I try to fix it says " key not valid in specified state, so on hold with microsoft SURPRISE they need 99 dollars to fix... I hope thry rot in hell I will never buy another microsoft product
For some reason, Microsoft won't $#*!ing allow me to change my profile picture. Why make it simple and allow me to change it in settings? Because Microsoft $#*!ing sucks.
I try to play games with friends, but it says it has to be connected to my xbox. So then I try to get my xbox connected. It asks me to buy something for 14 bucks when I've already bought the game. I say no. It says you need to put in a pin. I can't remember it so I try to reset it. It says go to microsoft account and find it in settings. I go onto microsoft account and there is no settings button. I look for an hour trying to find one, but can't. Then I try to call online but I get dumb chat bots that say something like, "Would you like to reset your password?" I say no I need to reset pin. They say, "Okay, give us a call at this link" the link takes me back to the website where I was sent to get this dumb chat box. It's been an hour, I don't even want to play with my friends anymore. I think I finally got it setup so we could play together, but they lost patience and are offline. So I'm not even sure if the problem is solved or if I've just wasted all this time to try and figure it out. Get a better website. You're trying so hard to make it accessible that it is not an accessible website for normie like myself. I'm frustrated I'm mad, and have had an overall terrible experience.
Updates will crash your computer. Microsoft rarely answer the phone. Online chats are time consuming & painful. You'll spend hours fixing it yourself.
Microsoft/onedrive deleted all my files, documents and pictures of my kids! I checked recycle bin NOTHING! I looked everywhere NOTHING! 500Gigs $1500 just gone! Microsoft is the worst company they shouldn't be able to move or delete ANYTHING WITHOUT YOUR PERMISSION!

I wish I could give 0 stars for the atrocious customer disservice I am receiving from Microsoft. I have been trying to get assistance to gain access to my microsoft with 365 Basic Business subscription. I was put on hold for over 3 hours in their business support queue. I never received any help, the hold music cut out at the 3hr mark and I was forced to give up as their system clearly isnt designed to keep people on hold for 3 hours. But their automated support is directing me to initiate a support request in the admin center to receive a callback, even though I cannot access the admin center as I do not have the account credentials and have exhausted all means of self-help for account recovery on the Microsoft support website. The two human beings I have managed to speak to at Microsoft on the "home" support side were both unable to help me, and unable to direct me to anyone who can.I have been told over and over again to try troubleshooting in ways that I had already done before contacting Microsoft for support. This is insanity!

I love the Xbox One S but the adapter and Kinect is a joke it don't work like it's supposed to or anything my original Xbox One works way better and actually did was supposed to so do not buy the Kinect for the Xbox One S it's a waste your money just buy the Xbox One S
Two things one they say they have a product in stock with free 2 day shipping. After you purchase the product 3 days go by then you get an email for tracking and it says estimated delivery date is over 2 weeks out! The second thing is it took me almost 30mins of my time trying to find a way to talk to a human about my issue. Couldn't find a live chat, I couldn't find a phone number. They make you answer 20 questions "to get you to a live agent" then you never get through. Finally find a number call the agent "it's been 3 days and I just get an email that my product that was free 2 day shipping is 2 weeks out? What's going on here?" "OH the product is on back order and hopefully we'll get the item in in 2 weeks for you then it's free 2 day shipping" that's BULL$#*!! Put on your damn website that it's back order don't tell me after you told me 2 day shipping and took the money out of my account already. Put it in the description it's not hard item on backorder expedited in stock date... can't believe a billion dollar company can't put that on their website and hire agents to answer customers concerns instead of pissing them off more than they already are about the in stock lies on the website.

Bought a control December last year sent it back 6 months ago got a replacement worked for a few weeks after that aux port gave an issue right after sent back in again then they gave new replacement and yet again what do you know the power button kept getting stuck then the RB had been messed up getting stuck sometimes then my rt button broke after took it apart because what's the use of sending it back again the RB was broken inside from when I got it the power button was damaged and the RT was comeplely messed up so thanks Microsoft for letting me pay R1300 for a control just for me to get a $#*! version back in upset I've been with Xbox for a long time this is disspointing...

Answer: Well my first impression is I'm surprised you say you have a college degree. You didn't mention if it's a BA, or BFA, but either degree requires the ability to spell and use grammar correctly. This isn't a school room, but for a college grad to post their thoughts on a public forum that is at a high school level is (if you are a college grad), a sad commentary on our educational system. As for Microsoft being garbage, I do agree. It started out great and Gates encouraged employees to think outside the box, try EVERYTHING and give the product's organization feedback, which made the company number 1 with office software. But, starting with Steve telling employees it's a "terminable" offense to have a Rim phone, makes no sense. But that's the philosophy now, under no circumstances Challenge our products. Don't give us feedback on our app's, just tell us they are better than anyone else's! I remember when MSN pushed Microsoft employees to go to their internal site that has MSN on one side of the UI and Google.com on the other side. The purpose was to CHALLENGE MSN. Try both together then forward your thoughts. The intent was 1. Let Microsoft know where MSN lacks so that 2. They could make it GREAT. Unfortunately, many versions later MSN didn't figure out how to make an awesome search engine and Google is still the King, but that's how Microsoft became great, Challenging their products. Now they're really losing credibility and the public is pivoting to Apple and Open Source.
