I have a Customer Service issue with Macys. After several attempts to get it resolved, I decided to go straight to the top. You can e-mail the CEO Jeff Gennette - *******@macys.com and cc Charlotte DiMattei Liason - *******@macys.com. Neither one of them will help you. I figured if enough people contact them, they will take their issues with customer service seriously. If they get bombarded with complaints, they will be as annoyed as we are.
And so does the customer service, believe me, they don't care about your concern either. You call them and all you get is " I do apologize ma'am, but there is nothing more I can do for you. I apologize though." They don't even try to go out of there way to help you... nothing. IDK why I'm wasting my time writing this review cause they aren't going to reach out to you regarding your disgust with them. I wouldn't even give them a one!
I don't shop at stores that sells plus size clothes and not plus size shoes. Example: I wear a size 14 dress, should I purchase this dress from Macy's I would then have to go bargain hunting to find a size 11W shoes to wear with the dress or wear the dress without shoes. Macy's is not a big people store.
If you want to get ripped off, use Macy's online ordering system. I ordered jewelry and before it was shipped I spoke to them and they confirmed to me that they send all their items through UPS but actually the delivery starts at UPS and finishes with USPS Service which is a complete disaster. After informing Macys that the jewelry did not arrive and speaking to the Macys 800 number, they said they would do the refund, but days later Macy's sent out an email denying the refund. After multiple denials, they said that it was delivered but it was not. Macys claimed that the USPS said it was delivered. If anyone can believe that, they're crazy and so is anyone that buys product off of Macy's online. So if you wanna get ripped off, buy jewelry from Macy's.
Ordered online from Macy's.com; item wasn't what was pictured; returned with proof showing it was received by them; they still haven't refunded me after 29 days! Every time I call, they say it's coming! DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THEM. Macy's has changed drastically for the worse and it shows on all of the store closures. That's why Amazon is so successful, if you return any item, you see your refund right away.
An order was placed, but never filled by KlearGear.com. They cancelled the order and wouldn't respond to emails. After a bad review was left for their disservice, they attempted to collect a $3,500 fee. When that wasn't paid, they sent it to collections. The original order was for less than $20!

I am a woman in her 70s. I bought a mattress set in January of 2020 paid $900 on-sale! Supposed to have 10yr warranty on it. I can't sleep on it because it makes my whole body hurt! It sunk down in the middle of it. I can't get know one to come an inspect it for 2 months. I have no where to sleep! I beg them to come. My whole body aches. I need help! I don't recommend any one to buy a mattress there poor customer service!

Macy's used to be a decent store and had easy ordering, tracking, returns. Not anymore. It's a joke.
I just love Macys. I live in Canada and i shop both online at Macys and in store whenever i go to the States... Amazing deals fast shipping and great products... Customer service is great... Macys is my store :)
I was told just today by the IL Attorney Generals office to put this on social media. This time last year a person in an Ohio Macy's store spent over 700.00 on Father's Day gifts. Because of my low vision when I made a payment to the card number that was charged off and not my new replacement card number Macys refused to refund my mistake payment. Even the Attorney General was given the same story… There is no possible way Macys can issue a refund on a charge off account. I called Macys several times and was told as many times that the accociates have no manager on staff for me to speak with. One rep told me that Macys did what I asked them to do with my payment and it was her own business, she would not refund my mistake either, even though I am a handicapped senior citizen. So, as the IL Attorney General's office has agreed with me… Macys has stolen from a good customer! OK, I WAS a good customer!
Come on, MACYS! You can do better than this!
I just did. The finest department store on the planet. Right before bloomingdale another fine department store. The finest merchandise. Returns dont happen. Everything is just right. The best of the best is at macys.
Placed an order for several hundred $. They weren't able to ship the order so they canceled it, but I didn't get my money back. The customer service department informed me that I would only get my money back in two weeks because that is the company's policy. Yeah, you read it right. If they are not able to process your order their policy is to hold your money for two weeks. That wasn't right and asked to put me in touch with their boss to resolve this issue. But they just ghosted me and completely ceased to respond to messages.
All in all, a very unpleasant experience with their customer service department, it feels like they just want to get rid of you asap (of course masking everything with the usual phrases about how much they value you as a customer).
I contacted my bank but they said they can't do anything until Macy's releases the payment.
So here's how you lose money for a couple of weeks in a couple of clicks. Never again.
Macys is fraudulent company forcing people to have subscriptions not being able to cancel being kept on hold because the website is rigged for tech support for over an hour the people in the store cannot help the people on the customer service cannot help and they just keep you waiting and the website is rigged so that you cannot manage your own subscriptions that people unknowingly get placed onto. Says you can call customer service and they will help however after being on hold for an hour and speaking with three people I am now calling my credit card company and reporting thrm for fuard.
My order says delivered - but it was NOT delivered. I tried calling both phone numbers - but no one is manning the phones and it eventually says goodbye. Website says 'we're working hard' - but they furloughed all the customer service. Their online CHAT is even worse. This order was for Mother's Day, I want a refund or track down my order and REALLY get it to me.
I usually shop at Neimans, but was pleasantly surprised by the great customer service I received. I needed a shirt pressed and the sales exec searched the store to find a means to press the shirt. He went WAY beyond what I usually experienced in the store. He also knew his merchandise better than I know my social security number! LOL I suppose each store has its 'gem' and Laz is the gem at the Galleria Macy's in Fort Lauderdale, I gave 5 stars because of Laz.
After going thru numerous phone calls since the girl dint give me individual receipts for my purchases, I finally got in touch with someone else that said to just send in the one form with my reciepts and UPC symbols. After weeks and weeks of hearing nothing, they finally sent me a portion of my rebates. ( I had bought several items the same day that had rebates). After trying to get in touch with the "rebate dept" I finally gave up. That's ok though, I will never shop Macy's again and will go out of my way to try to inform everyone I can about their practices for their rebate programs and their fraudulent practices.
My favorite store at the mall! So classy, so cute, affordable but sparkly. Favorite place to buy what I like or Christmas presents. Good discounts. Clean restrooms, they also have Troy's R us in it.
I've never had a seamless experience with Macy's. The stores I've been to look like the 80s called and want their installations back - bad lighting included at no extra charge - with super rude sales people. The website is so ridiculously bad, keeps glitching, suddenly doesn't let you add things to either your shopping cart and/or wishlist, then tells you to call their 1-800-wesuck number if you keep having these issues. Sure, you can't maintain your website and I'll try explaining that to some outsourced, underpaid customer service rep thousands of miles who's just trying to do their job and follow a script. No thanks.
