I ordered something for Christmas and received an email over a week later that the item was out of stock and I was sent a 25% coupon for my next purchase. Since I ordered the item immediately after it went on sale and the site was saying that it still was available, that is a clear sign they are first baiting and then trying to switch items. The item I ordered was listed at a 40% discount so the 25% on another item was a deception. I will NEVER shop at Macy's again!
Macy's used to be my 'go to' place for grandkids kids clothes, gifts, my outfits, etc. I was there so often. But Macys has priced themselves out of my league. I laugh when I look at an exorbitant price for a short sleeve blouse, and everything else. Even the sales and special discounts don't lower the price near the one I get elsewhere for the very similar item. Sad, it was part of my growing up too, my grandma worked for Bamberger's. I ordered 6 shirts form Macy's online. I had to call customer service because the quoted discounts were not applied at check out. Called customer service (from some country) and the said they applied the discount now. When I received my confirmation email, only half the shirts had the discount. Called again and discount was applied to each shirt. I spent about an hour and a half trying to place and order. Don't buy online from Macy's. Now I remember this happened on a previous order and I vowed to never shop there again. Burn me once and I will accept your explanations: burn me twice and I am out of there.
Whenever I am going to order from a website I always make sure that they answer their phone in case I have problems after the sell. The phone number that they have listed doesn't allow me to get a live person. I would avoid these folks.
Last year 2014 I bought a dress and jacket. I live in New Zealand and it was here in a matter of days. Fitted perfect and I loved it. Had many compliments about it. I found Macy's wonderful to deal with and would highly recommend them.
Refused to give a refund because the shipper (LSO) claims they delivered a product at 8:30 at night when they never actually showed up. Customer service line refused to acknowledge that it is their mistake and refused to issue a refund or replace the product. Never buying anything at Macy's again.
I have a Macy's charge card. I shop at Macy's a lot. I live in Hawaii and usually end up paying high prices for nice clothes. With the discounts and special offers I get my items don't cost me any more than the mainland prices. I don't know how Macy's can afford to do this but I'm glad they do. I get good quality products at a reasonable cost. What more can I ask for?
I bought this chain at Macys. Needless to say it was complete junk. I bought it off the display not realizing everyone else tried it on! I tried to return it and they were rude, non accommodating and i didn't want a cent back! I just wanted the same chain ordered that wasn't damaged. So i took it to a reputable jeweler and he has to cut the back add a new clasp and hope fully it will lay flat because it never laid right. I will NEVER buy from them again. They are horrible! Please consider Penney's or any of your other lower local cost jewelers before ever shopping at Macys! As you can see on the pictures it's not sitting correct on my neck! When i showed them they said that's how it should be! Flat like in the pic being repaired is how it should always lay … DON'T shop there. They don't stand behind there product! If i can give them a zero i would!
Ordered something on web for cyber, put in promo code. Paid by paypal and it took off the cyber code. Called and spoke to someone who verfied I put in the cyber code, but they cannot fix and will call me back to do the promo in a week. Fat chance of that happening. Could not get an email or anything stating this was going to happen. Macy's should be ashamed of them selves for doing such a dirty trick. *I will be looking elsewhere to do my shopping in the future. Macy's is truely not an upstadnign company anymore in my eyes.
I bought at pocket book for my wife there and the sign said 30 percent off sale. Upon going to cashier she said the sale is only good for Macy cardholders or zI can apply for one to get the discount. This is prejudice toward all non card holders! I will never shop there again and I urge all to boycott them for their prejudice policies.
I bought $*******.00 worth of furniture from Macys in Sept. 2018. Bought a leather sectional couch and got the ultimate protection coverage for the couch it was for 5 years. I noticed a few cracks in the leather and had a technician come and take picture i asked what could be done. He said he was only hired by company to take pictures he doesnt know anything about repairing. When he left he screwed us in his assessment that it was over time repeated wear dog damage mind you it is covered for pets. I have gotten no wear they refuse to send another tech to check or solve problem. The sectional when Macys commercial come on TV the first couch that is the couch i have. So Macys sells you a bill of goods and their warranty company stinks
I went to Macy's in August 2022, made a purchase for my daughter (to take advantage of discounts) my daughter then used her debit to make a payment of the same amount. Well, I've been going back n forth with Macy's ever since with them saying a payment wasn't made! This company SUCKS! Stupid non English speaking "customer service" people. I gave them all the documents they requested n still no refund back to my card! Please do yourselves a favor n never get a Macys card, go get a Nordstrom card-they're much more professional. I give them 0 star!
Ordered a very expensive watch from Macys. Com only to receive an empty watch box in the package sent to my home. I called immediately to complain and didn't ever get to speak to someone but shortly after received an email saying I had a history of doing this and they would not credit. Totally false and misinformed
I am not even sure I have we ordered from Macys and certainly not recently. They are a pathetic excuse for customer service and even after reaching out to the president of the company; no response. How they have been in business for 165 years is a mystery. Please don't waste you money here and whether the theft occurred onacys or UPS I don't know but certainly don't order anything of

Macy's doesn't notify you with shipping status and then lets you know after shipping date that item is on back order and they don't know when it will be in. They then ask you to wait one month later and if they don't hear from you they will cancel order. They don't have a selection for you to cancel. They also still have the item online for sale! Poor business practice. My last purchase from Macy's
I was at Burnsville center in Mn exchanging something and Angelina in customer service helped me. My transaction had problems in their system but she stayed calm and cheerful. Directed me where to go and what to do and couldn't of been nicer! I don't often run into gems like this while shopping let along exhannging and needling help. Please reward Angelina for her fabulous customer service and smile!

Macy's went out bad. They need to start closing stores. I ordered on line after Christmas and only 1 item will be delivered January 10th and the other items January 12th. A store I trusted. Well I will start ordering from Shein like everybody else. A big disappointment. Just close
I ordered Martha Stewart X Women's Cloudy Rain Booties online. I received a very chunky shoe from Nine West (not what I ordered). I immediately contacted Macy's. I was told I would be receiving my shoes in a day or two (rush delivery) and I would receive an email with a return label for Nine West shoes. That was about 3 weeks ago and I still do not have my shoes! I also had to phone a week later to get the return label. I received an email today stating Macy's will refund my money once I return the Martha Stewart Booties. I NEVER received them. How can I return something, I never received? I posted on their facebook page. I was instructed to message them with my order number and personal information. I did so and was asked why I was giving the information to them. Also someone else from Macy's commented on my post asking what I needed. If this person read my post they would have known. SMH These people are morons!
If I cannot find something in the store, I can generally find it on-line. Love it because my daughter lives in another state. If she does not like something that I've had shipped to her she can go over to the store to return/exchange it. Everything ordered comes well packed and shipped within the timeframe promised.
I was in the market for a new mattress & Macy's had an amazing 4th of July sales on them. I wound up ordering the mattress & box spring totally online, but researched mattresses for hours hoping to get all the info I needed to make an informed decision.
Upon ordering I immediately got notification of the July 13th delivery date. I did pay the extra $25 for removal of old stuff.
The day before & the day of delivery I received numerous calls & texts confirming everything.
The delivery guys got there right on time & we quick & very efficient! They even offered to dust under my bed for me before putting on the new box spring.
The mattress feels terrific - fingers crossed it stays that way but I wouldn't hesitate using Macy's in the future.
