Be very weary of using Lyft
Left a bad review because driver was going entirely to fast around curves and hills, no regards for safety. Then they want to charge us $80+ dollars for getting a little dirt from our shoes on the floor mat.
The driver failed to show up, then Lyft texted me that I had missed the ride, but because it was a "free ride," Lyft would not charge me! IDIOTS! How does this horrible company survive? I have NEVER experienced worse service/unresponsiveness! Egregious ineptitude! The company does not allow would-be patrons to contact it except through an incredibly poorly designed "help center" page on its website. No phone number is available. Ridiculous Amateur Hour! Time to go out of business, Lyft!
Avoid these racist scumbags at all costs! Their drivers profile people based on their photographs as I found out the hard way when I had booked a ride six times with six cancellations! It took me almost 2 hours to get home as a result for should have been just a 15 minutes car ride. And then they had the nerve to overcharge, with of course no one you can call on the phone and truly horrible customer service. I'm also currently suing these duplicitous scumbags for that racial discrimination back in October!
Sometimes okay but recently I have had terrible experiences with drivers. It seems Lyft will hire just about anyone especially unsafe drivers with lack of empathy or customer service. Why do you hire unsafe drivers when clients only want to get to where they need to safely you are putting our lives at risk. My last driver was speeding over 84 on the highway and not using turn signals to cha he lanes. In addition to this ride, Robert, my driver proceeded to hit me with his car as he was backing up when he dropped me off at my destination. Complete lack of focus or attention to surroundings and road. Please get safe drivers who are unsafe and display erratic driving behavior. Worst company ever, only looks out for their drivers and not their riders.
I live in a semi rural area. Promised a guaranteed pickup after making reservations 2 weeks ahead of time. This was for my quarterly doctor's appointment.
Didn't notify that they were canceling until after being 30 minutes late and after they charged my card. There's a reason why they don't have a phone number to call.
At least Uber didn't guarantee my reservation. I can't rate them as I didn't book with them.
I found someone on Facebook at the last minute and had to offer a pretty good amount of money to complete my trip.
I don't like using derogatory remarks, but Lyft is trash!
If I owned stock in that company I would sell immediately, even at a slight loss if necessary.
I have had so much trouble with this company and random charges it's unfortunate. Driver service is so much better than uber but I would recommend uber over this company solely for the fact that they've now charged my card TEN times with zero authorization. If this is a systematic issue that's unfortunate as I've reached out to multiple Lyft associates to get the issue resolved. It's been two weeks since I've brought it to someone's attention (multiple times) at Lyft & no they haven't resolved it. But they surely have managed to charge my card two more times since. It's almost like it doesn't matter at all to them. 0 points for Lyft & genuinely caring about customer service. Not sure how many people would be okay with $110 going missing from their account for rides that were never taken by them.
"Why a driver is turned down by Lift When has a excellent driving record, brand new car, good credit, and clean background? Only because he was black, and the girl that interview him in San Diego was white and gay having an attitude against him the whole time. Can this company treat somebody with respect without taking in consideration race and color?
Almost got ran over by a lyft driver! If you ever get a driver named Jahangir with license plate BZJH 220 in Toronto, canada. BEWARE! He is a dangerous driver and aggressive!
I hit his side window to warn him and then he gets out of his car and assaults me. Literally punched me in my face! A grown man hitting a woman! This company has horrible drivers and even worse customer service. When I called to report about the incident they handled it so poorly. The passenger in the back seat was shocked and even cancelled her ride.
LYFT has the highest price with worst service. They cancel scheduled rides at the very last moment. Absolutely not reliable! On top of that if you try to call their customer support, you won't be able to talk to anyone but you will get charged from your phone company for the calls. Terrible
Took Lyft to the airport with my family. Ride was uneventful and even gave a 20% tip. So what does the driver do? When I looked at my credit card bill 2 weeks later, charged an extra $80 for a damage fee that never occurred. The driver is committing outright fraud and theft. Tried to file a complaint by app and online. Had to try several times to get it registered. Lyft has no live customer support to discuss or help. Proactively contacted my credit card company to put both the damage fee and tip on hold. Lyft does not hold their drivers accountable and certainly don't screen their drivers to any acceptable standards. STAY AWAY!
Some hard of hearing person at support (Winter was her alleged name) got my one and only call into support completely wrong. She didn't hear all that I said, she (like most people these days) got a few "key" words and finished her "duties"! I got a lovely e-mail from Lyft offending me about "Lyft's community is composed of people from many views and backgrounds, and community members should respect these differences." The whole call had nothing to do with anything remotely deserving of that response. I called about a possible scam and their response was to offend me? Really? Okay guess we need ANOTHER ride share company besides Lyft and Uber...
They had the offer to become a driver and get $1000 after your first ride by March 5th. But, then they're saying the DMV background check takes too long and they would give me an update on March 6th which passes the deadline. They should make up their mind before offering something!
I signed up for a ride for my first time ever being in a internet taxi service they quoted me a ride for $20 6.2 mi from my house they charged me $38 that is not cool not fair and there's nothing I can do about it and there are customer service is worthless you can't call anybody or talk to anybody in their internet help is garbage don't use lyft use somebody else I repeat do not use lyft
So I decided since I had free time in the evenings I would drive to make a little money. Ha! This piece of Sh** company refused to pay me my $49.64 I earned for giving rides that day. Contacted customer service and their reply is let's wait too see if you get paid next week? What kind of answer is that? I had to put gas in my car after driving expecting to get paid but no they are still refusing! The customer service rep was named SHANE. This company is a complete sham! If you have to ride share make sure it's not with Lyft!
I set my rides up now hours in advance and they still don't get me on time or at all... I've been late to work on numerous occasions because of this... And they double charge me for no apparent reason when they feel like it as well...
Done with Lyft. The last 4 rides were horrible. 2 trips home from airport with drivers blasting music and refusing to turn it down. Both cars reeked of weed and drivers were rude. Next ride from train station, (which I refused) driver's crying infant is in the car. Last trip, driver picked up the wrong passenger leaving me stranded and at risk of missing my flight. Lyft customer service was unreachable. Had to call a yellow cab then fight the Lyft charge for a ride I didn't take.
I left my phone in Lyft 3 weeks ago. I have filed "Lost Item" a few times.
Lyft can't even get the driver to respond.
Their respond was "the drivers are independent contractors and don't have to answer to us". I was like are you for real?
They drive under you freaking name. So you don't have absolute clue who are they then. That's scary.
I have been trying to get a Lyft for 3 hrs. At first a driver was 11 minutes away then 2 minutes later I get notifications that they're looking for me another driver. Unlike Uber, Lyft does not release the "temporary" hold of funds right away if they can't get you a ride. It takes 5-7 days. There's no customer service number to call, messaging them is useless, and their policy sucks. I am currently sitting here at my job after being off the clock for 3 hrs. I am deleting the app because I'm never using it again. Bad business! Oh and make sure you have extra funds because if it's the last of your money that was used to get a Lyft you will be left walking if you don't have family or friends to pick you up.
Their application doesn't work correctly and can double-booked. Leading to excess charges with no recourse or customer service. The next time I consider using a ride-sharing app I will firmly closed a heavy door on my hand eight times as hard as I can. Then reconsider
I absolutely love Lyft. They do a great job. They let you know about the cc holds. If I leave my valuables in a Lyft ride, I don't expect the driver to check behind m, because I'm adult and should be responsible for my own things, but I've had several drivers contact me and also return things that I have left in their vehicles at no extra charge. I have also entered wrong info into the gps, and they still get me where I'm going. As with any company, things can go wrong, but Lyft definitely does a great job trying to make sure everything runs smoothly.
Answer: They randomly out of the blue deactivated my account. This was there explanation. We found your account to be violating our Terms of Service and you will no longer be able to use the Lyft platform. I can honestly I have not violated anything so clearly there is something wrong with there information but the worst thing is they dont even tell you what the problem is. Oh well guess take my business to uber instead.
Answer: Lft runs different promotions and depending on promotion they promise a signup bonus(500-1100$). Now if they really pay the bonus it's totally up to their discretion.in my case they didn't pay. I completed the 60 Rides required in the first 30 days, which was the requirment to qualify for the bonus but they still didn't pay. After a brief email exchange with a lyft employee(they do not give their position or full name) they stopped answering. Now I am filing a complain with BBB and I will let you know where it goes when I have updates.
Answer: Lyft's customer service is terrible. If they won't correct it, file a dispute with your credit card company.
Lyft has a rating of 1.4 stars from 906 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Lyft most frequently mention customer service, credit card and phone number. Lyft ranks 32nd among Car Sharing sites.
