Lyft doesn't take drivers safety seriously. Their policy of cancellation could put the drivers at risk. Another thing Lyft doesn't support the drivers with information about the destination before accepting the ride. It would be safer and more efficient for drivers to know the destination so they can take the right decision, and avoid canceling after accepting the rid.
Horrible, hacked, overcharged, rude Middle Eastern, horrible no show or wait hours for less than 6 miles away, mos5 expensive crap ever, driver got lost, and robbed me in Nola, never again, I'd rather walk, bus. Spent over $350 and never refunded, charged me cancelation fees for them never showing up, no customer service, all in Cali no wonder
Left person car tried to call driver 25 seconds after I exited car. Driver refuse to answer phone. Tried to text driver. Driver refused to answer text. Called helpline emailed the helpline did everything I could to reach out to Lyft. Could not reach anyone at Lyft could not reach anyone at Lyft help phone numbers useless emails useless is the most useless health center I have ever dealt with.
I received a receipt for a ride I never took and instead of freezing charge and reviewing I was charged and then accused of being "too good" for service I received. This freaking crooks should be taken behind the wood shed and put outta the business worlds misery. I give them one star because there wasn't a option to rate them lower or give these freaking crooks the finger like they deserve.
LYFT is a racial profiling company. My FIRST ride was $18 round trip with tip(LuxRide). My driver was nice, and informative. But every since I made my profile like he suggested I can't get a ride under $40. Wow! I wonder how LYFT will reply. I never trusted this mode of transportation. Now I see why. Only in INDIANA. I've used this service with friends in DENVER and received better treatment.
I receive subsidized rides for $2.- Recently I was charged $22.06 for a trip to a hospital for surgery. I tried repeatedly to show Lyft that it overcharged. I proved it to them. But they answered with form responses They didn't listen to me. I'm 67 living in a rest home. On 101/20 I had major surgery. I live on an allowance of$72.80 per month. $ 22.06 is a lot of money for me. Over1/4 of my money for the month. I wrote them at least 6-7 times but to no avail. I wouldn't use Lyft again if my life depended on it. And it did that day of surgery. I'm disputing it with my bank now and I won't give up until it's resolved in my favor. Don't use Lyft.
Creepy driver saying weird things led me to scramble out of the car, accidentally leaving my purse. The driver wouldn't return my purse, and Lyft couldn't be bothered to answer me after my initial inquiries.
I ended up having to rekey my house and my car, replace my driver's license and credit cards, and my prescription medication. One top of this, Lyft sent a notification stating they were going to charge me $20 dollars even though the driver had not returned my property. The charge didn't go through, since I had to cancel my cards due to the situation.
The driver finally mailed my items back after two weeks, but not until all the above had to be done.
Yes, I made a report to the police, but was told they could do nothing.
HORRIBLE COMPANY. Will never use again.
On Sunday, August 20th. I took a lyft from Miami International to my house. Unfortunately, when I got home I noticed my phone was not in my handbag. So, I called lyft right away and asked them, to please give me the driver's number. The representative said she could not do that but she would contact the driver. I only heard from lyft hours later saying that they would contact the driver. Of course, they only contacted me the following morning via email. Saying that the phone was not in the car. The phone was in the car. Maybe if they would have contacted the driver 30 minutes after the fact and not hours. My phone would have been found. I will never use this service again. Lyft lost a loyal customer.
Not happy I started taking lyft in June of this year was good for about 1 month, then every time I try to get a ride with lyft people cancel on me, in my opinion you take the good with the bad, your not always going to get that long ride for big money
Hey lyft you overcharged me (by 5x the amount) and then made it nearly impossible to file a complaint. I will never again use your $#*!ty service. UBER has WAY better customer service channels hence making it way more likely I will use them.
1. Your support email bounced. No longer in service apparently
2. Your support phone number told me to call 911 in an emergency (no $#*! you $#*!tards)
3. I have spent over an hour entering the 20,000 bs details needed by your help online site.
4. No response on twitter
5. Response here?
Good job lyft. You do realise if youre second in industry you better be Better than the original right?
REFUND MY MONEY
FIX your $#*! support service.
FIX your awful UX
Grabbed a Lyft to run to the Tiverton Casino. $18.63. Fair enough. Couple of hours later, requested a Lyft. Lyft quoted 23. I booked it. When ride was complete I got a msg asking if I wanted to leave my driver a tip. I was surprised to see Lyft charged me 53.+ for the ride quoted at 23. I tried getting in touch with anybody at Lyft...GOOD LUCK! Finally sent an in app msg to Support explaining the overcharge and requesting an adjustment. Canned response from Lyft - "as stated in our TOS there are no refunds FOR ANY REASON. I attempted contact several more times and the same canned response. I went to BBB where I explained issue. Lyft responded with the exact same canned response. I now realize that if my fair quote is $10, and Lyft accidentally charges me $1000, there are no refunds for any reason. What a freaking loser company. I exclusively use Uber now. Lyft is traveling down a bad road.
James XUR443 my lift driver was supposed to pick me up for work at 5:50am. 5:50. The app tells me he's pulling up at 5:30am I'm watching him stop the car on the app saying it said he would be on time then he persist to come 20 minutes early! 20 minutes early! Now I get to sit outside at work for at least 20 minutes so James he literally said he had to come early because he had rides after mine. I scheduled this the night before! Customer service is junk. Showing up early to pick someone up is like having your cash register over at the end of your shift meaning you messed someone over to get what you got. Garbage! BTW I work in Atlanta. I'll be sitting outside in the dark. I'll never utilize lyft ever again.
Ive been waiting for an hour, 3 lyfts canceled, and the were mins. Away. Lyft allows there drivers to cancel when they're close to you, and they're discriminating, canceling rides cause of the areas you're going to. The government should shut lyft down for outrageous pricing that inflates instantly. Lyft is no good, they hire anyone to drive. Feels like a black man trying to catch a cab all over again
Lyft is literally highway robbery. They'll charge you $70-$100, just to go one mile over. I've came out of $200 one day just to go to the grocery store and back home. They have ridiculous prices and if you don't want to pay a high amount, they make you wait 40mins for not paying $60 for the ride. After today I'm going back to Uber. Who wants to pay $200 just to go up the street? I feel sorry for the customers and the driver. Because after Lyft rips you off you can't even tip the driver. Smh
So I have been getting rides with Lyft for 6 years now. Most of the time I haven't had an issue but the past year I have been aced in more danger than ever before and Lyft couldn't care less. I've been on vehicles that have started going down the wrong side of the road numerous times where it could never be confused. Nevermind the one that tried to go on a roundabout the completely wrong direction. I've smacked my head numerous times due to the drivers speeding and hitting speed bumps way too hard and yet all the customer service ever says is here have 5 dollars credit but your health doesn't mean $#*!. You could have your arm chopped off and they'll tell you too bad here's $5. It's not our fault, our company says we can't do anything else. I can't in any good confidence recommend them to anyone ever again. Too bad though cuz some drivers are good but then again it's always the bad ones that the company doesn't care about that drags them down.
As a uber or lyft driver, please check rider charge after completion of ride, if it is $20 for example, lyft will take out $6 and it will show us total trip cost $14 and now again they take 25%, thta means they will take $3.50 and we will get as a lyft driver $10.50, so total lyft will make $9.50 and we ill get. $10.50 almost 50% they will take and making us fools, please some body should take action on this
In the last 2 days I have had Lyft drivers say they showed to pick me up when they did not. I subsequently requested another Lyft driver who had no problem picking me up. Then Lyft charged me $5.00 for the guy who claimed I wasn't there. Lyft is a big scam. I feel sorry for the few honest drivers they have.
I requested a ride from Lyft never got picked up the driver started the ride and ended it and I got charged for it and my money needs to go back to my account I will be disputing the ride I never got in the car this is uncalled for and ridiculous
Have only used this company 2 times. On Sept 3rd 2017 I caught right away someone set up a separate account with my information in a different state. I called customer service the multiple reps could not help me and hung up on me after telling me they will talk to fraud dept... mean while the ppl racked up over $100 in charges for a taxi. I called other numbers to site requested and they do t work either. I emailed2 times too and still no response. Terrible customer service, terrible companu
Dude what are you talking about? I hate Lyft. They are using the drivers for their own good. They don't care if the drivers make money, but they concern about their 25 percent regardless if the driver make money or not. Why will you send a driver to drive 20 or more minutes to pike up a rider knowing hopefully we'll the rider is just going a mile or less? And when the drive cancel you want to deactivate the driver. If still don't get it how lyft called her driver independent contractors and still can deactivate drivers for cancellation. If drivers are independent contractor, they should be able to decide if to accept or cancel a rider. Lyft is awful and that is why they can't keep drivers. Congress should start looking into the rideshare company like lyft. Crazy people.
Answer: They randomly out of the blue deactivated my account. This was there explanation. We found your account to be violating our Terms of Service and you will no longer be able to use the Lyft platform. I can honestly I have not violated anything so clearly there is something wrong with there information but the worst thing is they dont even tell you what the problem is. Oh well guess take my business to uber instead.
Answer: Lft runs different promotions and depending on promotion they promise a signup bonus(500-1100$). Now if they really pay the bonus it's totally up to their discretion.in my case they didn't pay. I completed the 60 Rides required in the first 30 days, which was the requirment to qualify for the bonus but they still didn't pay. After a brief email exchange with a lyft employee(they do not give their position or full name) they stopped answering. Now I am filing a complain with BBB and I will let you know where it goes when I have updates.
Answer: Lyft's customer service is terrible. If they won't correct it, file a dispute with your credit card company.
