Same as the many complaints here, I placed my order March 3. It is now June 9 and I still have not received all my items that I ordered. Furthermore, the company offered no compensation other than store credit for the complete disregard of doing their job properly. Store credit is no use to me given the poor service I had already been shown so not only are they horrible at getting your items to you, they are also horrible for giving proper customer service. Cute clothes, on the other hand, but do not order the rompers unless you want "everything" to hang out and certainly do not order if it is time sensitive.
I was order dress for my daughter. They say that will send me tracking number when they ship the order. Which is never happened. After 3 emails to them finally respond with apology and say that they give me my money back in 10 day. After 12 business days never received the money. Then I emailed again same store apologized and say that will do refund in 5 days. Never happened, this is scam! Don't order from them!
You risk throwing money away ordering from here. My daughter's dress fit poorly, wasn't adjustable, and we could only receive store credit instead of a refund. Other sites have more understanding return policies so I suggest visiting them first. Do not order anything from here if you don't see how you'll be able to adjust it or you have a LOT of time before you need it so you can return the item that doesn't fit, wait for them to credit you, then order a replacement using the store credit.
Ordered 3 dresses as possibilities for a wedding. None of the 3 fit my body type (short and not super skinny.) I returned and they only offer store credit, so now I have to spend $144 at a store that only stocks dresses appropriate for a tall and skinny body type. Bizarre policy.
Spent $50 on a dress that came in the mail smelling like intense body odor and sweaty armpits. I emailed their customer service and was told they'd give me $25 credit for their store. I don't want to buy more used smelly clothing. I would've settled for a 5-10$ refund to cover my dry cleaning bill. I have no time to return it so I had to have it cleaned. Anyway, don't buy from here, they send sweaty dresses out and then customer service refuses to help without trying to get more money out of you.
I accidentally ordered the wrong dress for my daughter. I sent a chat message, and someone quickly responded. They gladly "returned" the dress before it shipped so I was able to purchase the correct dress! Easy!
This is the only time I ever have ordered something online when the seller would only give store credit. BEWARE. Caveat emptor. Yes, it says so on the website -- READ THE FINE PRINT. However, our order arrived two days late and was not usable, therefore, for my daughter's graduation. The package was never opened -- and sent back immediately. Yet Lucy in the Sky refuses to give a refund. Don't take the risk and give them your money. Every other online retailer gives you 21 - 30 days minimum to get a full refund for unworn clothing.
After many emails back and forth and being told twice that my order would be delivered today, the company emailed me saying they won't be shipping it until the 28th, almost 2 months after my initial order date. Now I am left with nothing to wear for graduation.
The dresses are absolutely beautiful a hundred percent true to the pictures! I will say I ordered my daughter an extra small, (as other companies a small was to big), which couldn't even go over our bulldogs head. They refunded me via store credit hours within sending them proof of return!
I then, (which I should have done in the first place), measured my daughter, and purchased the size according to their measurements. Absolutely gorgeous and perfect fit! I have 3 daughters, so know I will be a returning customer, as they are great!
I am super pleased with their customer service. One of my items I bought was taking awhile to ship so I emailed them and they responded very quickly letting me know there was a delay and offered me 20 dollars credit, full refund or an exchange for an item that had quicker shipping. One of the items I did recieve so far is super cute, fits perfect and nice quality.
I ordered a dress in April and was notified today 5/21 that it is experiencing delays so "their error" but they went ahead and canceled my order. They gave me a $25 credit to order something else because it was their fault that the shipping times they gave me they could not stand by. So, my daughter has a dance in less than 2 weeks, NO DRESS and none of their dresses will arrive in time. They kind of told me "oh well". No phone number. I had to reach out via email several times and all I got in return was sorry cant really help you. Im frustrated and find them extremely unprofessional and incompetent.
The dress was truly beautiful and well made! It looked exactly like the pictures and was what I was expecting, yet I am 5'4 and around 120 lbs and could not get the small above my waist. I'd recommend sizing up!
I ordered a dress on Dec 7 2023, they told me they were going to ship it on Dec 13, I was going to wear it for new year's day, the dress was never sent.
Then, I contacted customer service and they told me that they were shipping the dress on Jan 17 2024, so I decided to wear it for my birthday on Jan 26 2024, the dress was never sent.
I contacted customer service again and days later they shipped the dress (Jan 20 2024). The dress is arriving one day after my birthday...
Don't buy anything from this company, save your money.
My daughter ordered a dress for her first dance. The dress came in late and was wrong dress and wrong color. After multiple emails and proof of everything sent. Apparently picture of dress and order number wasn't enough. I sent pictures of package and sure enough package name has correct order but contents were WRONG. They had four days to correct issue. They told me if I sent the other dress back they would then send me dress and it would arrive evening of dance AFTER the dance started and was almost over WOW. It could have been sent overnight due to their error and gotten to her in plenty time.
My daughter has been telling everyone about this dress and now she has to wear something from home. Way to ruin a young girls first dance.
I will NEVER use this company again And will ensure all my friends never use it either.
I have always had good experiences with the buisness, i dont love their return policy of only store credit but they do pay for return shipping and have plenty of options if your first choice doesnt work out!
September 9 th 2021, I ordered a dress for my daughter and it said that shipping would be between September 28th and October 5th. Here it is October 9th, day of my daughter's homecoming, which is why she bought this dress, and we've heard nothing. No update to our order. Hasn't been shipped. I have tried to contact them three different times, in three different ways with no response. My poor daughter is so upset because it's day of homecoming and now she doesn't have address. Great way to ruin something that's supposed to be so memorable
This company is awful in customer service, I was not notified that my dress would be three weeks late when I needed it in a week and a half. I had to email them asking them why my dress was late got a late response after the 48 hour time. I felt completely out of the loop with the whole process and I asked for a refund before I ever got a shipment code. Then I got another late response saying sorry it shipped. This company needs to know how to handle when they're getting a heavy increase in customers so they can attend to each one in the easy way, they also need to telephone so we can contact them in person and talk about the difficulties in our order. I ordered a white dress for my college graduation and what showed up was a dress with a blue tinge and sparkles all over it. It looks like something a five year old would wear (obviously not their target market). The material was Shein quality and not at all worth the price point. I reached out to their sales team for a refund, but they told me they only do store credit even though I explained my situation. I'm extremely disappointed that they couldn't accommodate my needs especially because I'm a college student and I'm just looking for a dress.

My dress arrived very quickly and fit perfectly! The quality was amazing considering how low cost it was. All the dresses on the website look so flattering. All my friends ordered from Lucy in the Sky for our winter formal.
Don't rely on receiving your order especially for a special occasion. I ordered on 5/26th. And was given a deliver date of June 2- June 11. Haven't received any emails, other than when order was placed. Messaged live chat today June 6th (they make it impossible to call and speak with anyone live) to get arrival date info and was told my dress can't be shipped til 6/25. And if I wait for that date, I can't return only store credit. Arrival date of 6/25 is unacceptable when told 6/2 and no further update given until I inquired.
