Good luck ordering anything online from Lowes, at least in Canada. I ordered 3 things this week at all were supposedly available, in stock and available for pickup. Turns out, they had none of them and they just cancelled the order after charging me. I spent over an hour on the phone trying to get an explanation only to be told their online inventory is inaccurate.

I was planning to spend some serious money on flooring when I went to pick up these items, but now I will never look at their website or set foot in one of their stores ever again as a result of ths experience and their total lack of customer service.

Nothing in Stock
June 18, 2020

They never have anything in stock, either online or at the store. We checked 7 stores within delivering distance of out home and on 5 occasions we found none of the items we wanted available. When you go into the store the employees scatter like ants into the aisles and the people at the so called customer service desk are just plain rude and ignorant. All we are asking is that we be treated as customers and not cov19 carriers. It's bad enough places like Canadian Tire and Home Hardware herd their customers like cattle at the front door but to add to all the frustration is having to drive all over trying to find something and none of the stores who advertise things have them in stock. Shut down if you don't want our business and let Ace Hardware and Harbor Freight Tools come in and do the damn job right.

I was in the store Wednesday, July 22,2020.
There were so many staff, about 4 of them, in the garden center, were just talking. They don't even want to help. They all went away when they saw my wife approaching them. What kind of people are they?

I tried to make a simple purchase online from Lowes and wanted a courier to pick it up. That session started hours of frustration, phones calls, and wasted time. The cart would show items added, but when opened, it would say your cart is empty. After many retries, the contents would show. Once I eventually had an order completed, I ran into another glitch. They have nothing on the pickup thread to allow courier pickup. After three phone calls, I found out that you have to put the courier's name in my contact info but still use my phone and email. Another kluge!
After three canceled orders and a fourth that continued showing an error, I gave up.

Barely Satisfied.
July 10, 2017

I ordered a 25,000 BTU barbecue online, and I was delivered a 20,000 BTU one that was identical. When I contacted someone from Lowes, they said they didn't have a 25,000 BTU one in stock. I'm like "So, you just send them a lower model, and hope they don't notice?". Then they said, they would forward my complaint to upper management. I had to wait for a couple days before someone got back to me. We finally came to an agreement, that I would get the same discount on the 20,000 btu one (as it was not on sale).

In the end, I was fine with the resolution. I just don't like that they tried to slip it by me, and the fact that it took a couple days for someone to get back to me, as I feel is it's a serious "mistake".

I have been dealing for over a year now with Lowes after the plumber they sent to install my new hot water heater damaged my sliding door in front of my laundry area, scraped my paintwork, scratched my kitchen cupboard, gouged my dooor frame and was himself, angry and obnoxious. Lowes does not give a damn for the customer.

WOW... here we are in the 4th wave of a pandemic and Lowe's apparently does not provide their delivery team with masks! Not only could the delivery team not understand directions their understanding and speaking English rates a zero!
They arrived with no masks did not remove their boots and entered our house... which no one outside our home has been in for over a year and a half. Not shopping at Lowes again

Horrible replacement policy

Horrible experience! I am doing home renovation and my primary materials source was Lowe's, which converts to thousands of dollars spent there. Most recent experience put an end to it. I purchased sliding closet doors and paid for the delivery to my house (as I have no means for bringing it by myself) so, the door was defective, I called customer service and asked to bring me a replacement door (since I paid for the delivery in the first place) to my surprise I was refused the delivery, the only option they gave was to bring the doors myself and have it replaced in the store, which completely defeats the purpose of initial delivery. Their excuse was that it is probably manufacturers defect so they are not in position to incur delivery expense, when I tried to explain that their position simply cost me delivery money for no proper goods received, they started repeating same phrase, that they are not able to do anything about it...

Kitchen Review

Very disappointed with the outcome of my Kitchen. In July 2021 I had worked with the kitchen department for my new kitchen which was targeted to be an 10 week delivery. When I had paid in full (which had to be done to place the order) it was explained that it was now a 10-12 week delivery. 13 weeks later the cabinets delivered. The inspector/installer who has previously measured my kitchen for the dimensions had come to install 2 weeks after the delivery, only to find out that he had measured my kitchen incorrectly and my 18" & 9" cabinets had to be reordered to a 15" & 6" cabinet. I was not credited any money back for these cabinets. The reorder had taken another 3 months and the installer had made another mistake placing a hole for the handle in the wrong location. Now a new door had to be ordered. It has now been another 5 months, this is now a year since I have paid for my kitchen and has not been completed. I have reached out to the Lowe's kitchen team and have not been responded to. I strongly recommend that you do not use Lowe's for any kitchen project, especially if you need to hire them to measure and install.

Terrible experience! Online offer of $25. Savings wouldn't go through so I had to call. Even the supervisor could only give me a $17. Savings even though I sent a screen shot of my $25. Offer. Then to top it all off, they double billed me. The first time I called about it I was told it would "drop off" my Visa within 5-7 business days (even though I clearly told them it was not "pending, it went through"). When it didn't drop off, the next call I was told that a supervisor would call within 24 to 48 hr. That was Wednesday, it's late Monday now. Now I've been on the phone for over half hour & they're insisting there's nobody who can talk to me - they'll reach out after they've settled things with their IT dept. They don't dispute that they double billed me. Their IT problem is THEIR problem, but they won't simply give me a credit for the second charge & won't talk to me. RIDICULOUS!

Cancelled orders are not allowed
June 30, 2021

Called at 3pm to cancel order from 2:46pm (lights from Globe Electric). Told by Lowe's that the vendor had to cancel. At 5:22 received email from Lowe's, item has miraculously shipped within 3 hours on June 23. Says it will not ship until 4-5 days after the purchase day on Lowe's.ca. UPS were not contacted until June 27, by Globe Electric, order picked up June 27, so why send an email saying it is shipped. WHO IS LYING, And why, over a 67.00 order cancellation? I made a mistake and ordered the wrong product, stupid me, I will never order from Lowe's online and advise that is the best solution. Not helpful employees, making bad decisions.

I placed an order online on May 6 2020 and cancelled it in store Burlington Ontario for days later. Lowe's charged my credit card for the cancelled order. Opened a case to get my refund with customer service to get a refund. Lowe's claimed I was never charged. Sent evidence five times showing I was charged. Went to Burlington location with proof and still no refund. The store even called head office with evidence in hand still no refund. I asked the assistant store manager to look into the refund. He said he would call me in a couple of days. The manager never replied even after I sent a followup email. I opened a case with PayPal. PayPal contacted Lowe's and I had my refund in an hour. Lesson learned Lowe's will only give a refund if forced to do so. They should not bother with a customer service department as they Don't give a crap in doing what is right..

Customer service does not exist for on-line orders. Ordered product on line for pick-up at local store. Checked on line and there were 10 in store. After a couple of days, still no email saying order was ready for pick-up. Called local store and they said they did not have access to Lowes.ca system so they could not cancel order. Called customer support: on hold for 45 minutes and when someone finally picked up, it was an operator not customer service rep. Said she could not help me because she was just an operator. I was advised that someone from customer service will get back to me within 72 hours. I picked up product from local store. Will have to wait for someone to get back to me to cancel on-line order.

I am in the build industry.
This is my first negative review.
The Lowes search engine is the worst I have ever seen. I find product physically in the store try to find and order online to no avail.
I can't believe their IT department and corporate have allowed this to go on for so long. They have lost most of my business due this fact. Couldn't imagine how many more people they have lost because of this

Arrogant employee

Today, June29,2020, around 9:00 am, I came to this store with my wife (Lowe's - 800 Warden Avenue). While I go about getting the stuff I want to buy, my wife sat at one of the patio display. One of the employee approach my my wife and ask her not to sit there which my wife obeyed. But there are other customers sitting there as well but he only specifically asked my wife. What bothers me is that, while my wife decided to just wait for me where she stands, this employee again approach my wife and asked her if she has a problem as if she's a threat! What on earth did my wife do to deserve such harassment? What an arrogant Fr@$&! To Lowe's management, please teach your employee how to treat your customers with a little bit of respect! We came to your store to buy, not to be harassed!

Horrible experience. Bought washer and dryer there and it's taken 3 weekends out of my life. Unbelievable. Had to return as it was damaged and that's when the problems started. They wouldn't refund me the damaged ones. Finally did and overcharged me as they said they had to charge me to reschedule delivery. I had to go back to the store and spend 2 hours each time 3 times. The manager wouldn't even talk to me when I asked to see him. Disgusting. Never buy anything there again.

Bought 8 flower pots. 1 arrived correctly another 7 shipped separately. I think they swap the label with the other order. Sent me 4 large flower pots I didn't order. I sent it back. They refunded me 4 small flower pot I ordered. Super long time to response!
I don't need my 3 flower pot refund. I just want them to close down! Don't buy from them!

Went to shop plants at Lowe's at 2:30 pm May 7,2022. After an hour of choosing my plants, got to the cashier, and was told all of those 6 pack annuals I chose (chose 7 of them different types, all six pack annuals), all priced at the shelves at $3.99 each, was told by cashier, they all come out as $4.49, none is $3.99. I said none of the shelves indicate a price of $4.49. She said for me to look for an associate, she cannot help me as she is just the cashier. I asked her if she can page an associate and she ignored me. I repeated my request, she said she'll have to do all those in the line up, and I have to do it myself. Very rude, and no assistance at all. I left all those plants with her and left the store.

Never ever buy extended warranty from Lowe's. After facing any problem we have to deal directly from where they buy the extended warranty. They don't help
