Agents don't speak English well. They solved nothing and annoyed me. I spent 2 times, each like almost 2 hours not including 35 to 45 minutes waiting until I can talk to the agents

I ordered some Canada Goose products from L&T and was immediately charged. It's been 11 days and I can't get any information as to what's happening. Other than a few templated responses from a bot and a canned email response, all communication has stopped with any further inquiries. This is the first time in my life I've written any type of review and was compelled to do so since the service is so terrible. I can't imagine this company staying afloat at this rate. On the other hand, if your looking for aggravation, lack of any type of real communication and being left completely in the dark with regards to your order, this is the place for you. Oh and a nice bonus, if your looking for any chat help, you might be waiting a while see that chat log times. I finally gave up when nobody bothered to join. This Company is a dead duck, reminds me of the last days of Sears.
I used to shop occasionally and L&T until I received the incredibly rule letter from them that claimed that I was making too many returns from my online purchases. They also gave the number I was supposed to call to discuss my 'bad' shopping habits. I have never seen anything more ridiculous in my life. I immediately cancelled and cut my Lord and Taylor credit card and deleted my online account. How can this retailer rudeness be tolerated in our day and age? This is not the way to gain customer loyalty and satisfaction. Stay away.
Tried to cancel a duplicate order as the first was not responsive. Despite many emails and texts they were not able to cancel and now asking for a return fee. By far on on the worst web retail experiences ever.
Do all you can to avoid this company. If you find a brand go direct it will save you lots of aggravation.

This company relaunched after being purchased by ZAADIA as a web only store and has clearly moved to the Zara model of cheap fast fashion and awful customer service policies. The sweater that was purchased for me as a gift has sleeves lined with nylon instead of all knit so it feels terrible against your skin, and the sizing is very short for a large (barely reaches my waist a:s a 5'10" man). I tried to return/exchange it but the order was outside of 30 days (as it was purchased a month prior in preparation for Christmas) and they were unwilling to allow me to return it. The tight 30 day return policy (which Zara also uses) is designed to stick customers with products they don't want. Don't shop at ZAADIA properties, this includes NY & Co. As well as many others.
Ps. Good luck getting a hold of anyone, all emails and texts are automated and they don't list any phone number that can be called.
I ordered 3 gowns, they didn't ship for one week, oh but only one shipped! I still haven't gotten that one, seems to be stuck in PA! So being in a bind, I reordered and paid for expedited shipping! The dress didn't ship I have contacted Lord & Taylor by chat and email on a daily basis and I have gotten only one response on the first order through chat, "we are sorry your items haven't shipped, let me check on that and get back to you." No one ever got back to me. I am so disappointed, as I have no gown to wear to the wedding. Oh well, sure I'll have a wonderful time no matter what I wear.
I used to LOVE LordandTaylor until I was shopping for sunglasses and wanted to do some price research online. The same pair of Kate Spade's aviator sunglasses were worth nearly $50.00 less on Amazon... Great shoes selection though!
I returned a $260 dress i got that had pulls and rips all over it in november, it is THE END of January and i still HAVE NOT gotten my refund. There is no number to call to talk to anyone and they have not answered any emails! This place needs to be shut down, no wonder its only an online store now. This is a scam STAY AWAY!
The Lord & Taylor we all loved from many years is not the same online retail business. I will never buy from this business ever again. There is no Customer Service to speak with. They only ever allow Texting. What a crock. After 2 months (and actually a bit over 2 months) I received a refund $20.00 less than what I paid for the top I returned. They subtract a fee for returning the item you ordered. There are far too many reputable retail businesses to buy from, where you can get your full refund back for a return in a TIMELY manner. Plus, a human to talk with in Customer Service if needed.
Worst experience. Order still not shipped after 20 days. Requested a refund. Apparently not possible because "it is in process"". So now I have to continue to wait and when it does arrive I get to pay to return it. Never again. Do not order from here. Orders from China come more quickly.
I ordered a pair of sandals,$53 was taken from my account at the time of the order, I'm still waiting for the sandals 3 1/2 weeks later. I've contacted customer service only to be told twice now that my order is still being processed. This is ridiculous. It will be winter before my sandals arrive. Order someplace else!
Ordered a blazer. Came in damaged and not repairable. They want me to pay for return shipping and will not refund the original shipping costs. Junk products and damaged goods. Awful Customer service. No wonder they went bankrupt.
I sent in a return within the allotted time frame and was sent a merchandise credit. Tried calling for three months and no one has answered call. Tried using merchandise credit online and it says unable to place order. What is going on? Don't waste your time or money on this company!
During black friday weekend, I was trying to purchase a pair of boots. After much problems with their site, I finally checked out and my purchase was confirmed. Called them after a few weeks and found out from customer service that my order was never placed and told to reorder. Okay, I reordered again and still had a lot of trouble checking out so called customer service again was on hold for A WHOLE HOUR then customer service was really bad at english and spent another hour trying to enter my account details and kept misunderstanding my concerns. Finally at last, she told me that my boots were out of stock and offered no additional help. So several hours of my life completely wasted. Done with this business taking it to Nordstrom.
I purchased a dress late December. I traveled majority of January then returned and got COVID and was sick for nearly two weeks. I went online to ask for an exception as I realized I had just missed the return window by 3 days. My initial attempt to contact them resulted in a response based on a different purchase that was a FINAL SALE item NOT the dress in question. Since then, I have attempted to contact them for several days now via every avenue given me, text, email and chat with absolutely no response whatsoever from them. FRUSTRATING! And ridiculous. The dressing questions quality was not at all what I would expect for $300! Very poor in fact, and the fit was what you would expect from a dress coming from China! Today I mailed the dress with a note inside on the packing slip letting them know I'm returning this dress! Never again! I will block and delete them from every avenue on my end once the return goes through. It's amazing how you can get inundated with all of their sale emails etc. yet they won't respond to any of my emails!
Color of duvet falsely represented, no free shipping as advertised and customer service is NO SERVICE. I had to pay for original shipping and now—because they falsely represented the product— they want me to pay an additional $10 to send it back? Forget it. Don't buy from Lord & Taylor. Buyer beware!
I ordered 2 dresses and paid for fast shipping and on the day rhe should have been delivered I got a notification that my order was cancelled due to not enough stock. They had my money for 9 days before they cancelled the order then another 7 to get my money back.
My daughter had also ordered a different dress which has still not been delivered after 20 days and they ignore emails.
Dishonest company take your money and have no intention of shipping your order.
Another family member has problem also. These dresses are for a family wedding and the time and service is horrible. Do No order
I returned 2 items totalling over $3,100 on 12/21/23 and still do not have my refund. My order for 2 LV bags labeled "final sale" was mistakenly placed 11/19/23 (I hit "buy" instead of "apply coupon"). I notified them immediately of my error, then fought with them for 4 weeks to get a return slip. I returned the items on 12/21/23 and as of 1/13/24 do not have a refund! I've been emailing them because there is NO PHONE NUMBER to talk to a human.

When I bought a pink Moon River dress from Lord and Taylor on sale, I had no idea it was final sale. It must have been in fine print. When I contacted customer service, they dismissed me. The dress was too big and felt like it was made our of rubber material. Horrible.
I ordered $70.24 in products but my credit card hold charge was $511.96. I called them three times, first two times I was on hold for 30+ minutes only for the line to go dead. On my third call, the operator said that charge hold is what they do to all items while they are fulfilling the order. This is why the business is failing. Can you imagine if Amazon put a hold on 4x the amount of your purchase? Then those funds will not be released until 5-10 days after your product arrives.
Answer: Lord & Taylor was reputable until they were purchased by Le Tote in the Fall of 2019. The store and website have gone downhill in quality and customer service since that purchase. Customer service is now based in the Philippines for L&T and Le Tote. They are impossible to deal with. In my personal experience they have committed fraud by not honoring their published return policy and are as good as criminals for accepting a return of merchandise AND keeping my money. I am continuing to fight and now contacting the Division of Consumer Affairs. I already have an open case against them with the Better Business Bureau
