Lord and Taylor online store doesn't fulfill orders but gladly takes your money. It's pathetic customer service systems is awful. They only have email and text messaging options. The "talk live" feature is disabled on their website. This company will not return messages and won't send you your merchandise. It's a scam. Don't fall for it!
Receive use items from: wrong size, order six dresses, and receive only two no refund. These people are scammers. They have very poor customer service. You can only contact them online and they never responded.
I have placed an order for 3 items. They shipped two and charged me for all three items. I reported this to them, sending the package slip. It has been 2 months without resolution, no money back, no responses.
I returned two dresses value over $1'000 I have tried to contact them by email, text, chat no one is ever responded and they kept my money. I have written to the business bureau and still no response. Order *******
I ordered a cotton purple turtleneck from Lord and Taylor on 2/18/24, paying $25.98. On 2/20/24 I received a brown & white checkered button-up shirt, instead. When I contacted their Customer (non) Service I was instructed to send it back which cost me $17.94. I should receive an $8.04 refund. It would seem since their company made the mistake I should receive a full refund!
They sent me a return label to give them a good review, after I did they received my return and never sent me my money back. All the communications went through NY and Co. Now, no one answers the emails, the phone number doesn't work, tooooo bad this used to be my favorite store. I think we should all send them to collections...
Basically what the title says. My order never arrived. When I called USPS they said it got returned to the facility. Lord & Taylor told me the only way to get a refund was to return the product... which never arrived. After I asked for a number to speak with a live representative, they stopped responding to my emails. The only other two ways to contact them aside from email was live chat and text. If you click on the link for live chat, you will go to a link that has no way to communicate with them. If you try texting, you will not get a response back. Overall, a super negative experience.
First of all I payed extra for fast shipping. It took two weeks just to mail my order. Then when the tracking said it should be delivered it wasn't. So I went to the post office to figure out what was going on. Turned out my shipping label only had my city and zip code. It did not have my name or street on it, so the post office sent it back. I checked my order to make sure I filled it out properly and I did. They made the mistake on the label. I've been trying to reach out to them for a refund on my order and on my shipping since they made the mistake. They do not have a phone number just an email. So far no one will return my emails. The customer service is awful! Seriously l, who mails a package without a full address!
This store doesn't even worth a 1 star for a review! I bought a YSL Lou Lou Medium bag on Black Friday Sale with unreal discount and that was something I should be suspicious about! As it turns out, the bag is fake even though the quality is great and even a passport was provided! I ordered an authenticity certificate from third parties and went to a YSL store and both confirmed it's FAKE! Now customer service is not responding to any of my requests for a refund and say nothing about the fraud
I purchased 5 dresses in November, they charged me for all 5, only shipped 4 (one dress was never shipped). After receiving the 4 dresses and trying them on, none of them fit and immediately (the next day) returned them all in the original packing and in brand new condition. After not receiving a refund for over 30 days, I issued a dispute with the credit card company. After receiving a temporary credit from the credit card, I now find out that Lord and Taylor sent a letter to the credit card company LYING and saying that they only received 3 of the 4 dresses back. In turn, the credit card company rebilled me back, and I am out $500 since the credit card company closed the dispute and said its the merchants word against mine and they believe the merchant. Anyone have any advise or is this a dead end? So frustrating
Terrible company! I would never purchased anything from them. I purchased shoes from them for $500 and I'm not able to return it. You're not able to contact a human to solve your problems because there is no customer service phone number. No response back from emails. Never received luggage order, could tell by tracking it never left UPS facility. Have asked a refund repeatedly during the last month & had the same response from at least 6 people. This place is awful!
I left reviews on their site already but they were conveniently deleted by Lord & Taylor. I order 2 Gucci belts 4 days apart, they were counterfeit. I returned both, received refund for one minus $7.99 fee, still waiting for a refund. Contacted them numerous times, they are telling me 10 business days but it's been 3 weeks. Luckily, I purchased through PayPal, and filed a claim with them. This is not the same Lord & Taylor as it used to be. Stay away!
This was the loveliest department store when I was growing up. We shopped at their Fifth Avenue flagship store and at another suburban site.
In its halcyon days it catered to the carriage trade... it was totally top drawer.
It was always a treat to have lunch or a little treat at their tea room known as The Bird Cage.
Over the years, due to poor corporate management, it deteriorated; became known as "Lord and Taylor" and essentially sunk into oblivion.
I ordered a few lovely cashmere sweaters in recent years... then I just learned that it was bought out for a meager 400 M. By some kind of rental business... horrible news.
Good-bye, Lord and Taylor's... you were wonderful and a classic in more genteel and gracious times.
Five stars for your glorious past... you were the gold standard of department stores.

I ordered two gowns back in July. I returned them two weeks later got my confirmation. I still have not received my refund of $500 and this is now November 1. You can't talk to no one. I get the same email over and over that it'll take seven days it's been three months do not order from lord and Taylor.!
I purchased a dress that was a "Final Sale". I purchased the six based on their recommendation, verified by my measurements being them same as their size suggestion. I paid the $33.00 extra fee to receive the dress sooner than 4-7 business days. It did not arrive on time. But the most disparaging part of this order was the fact the dress was at least two sizes too small. I realized the dress could not be returned, fine. But surely it could be exchanged for a larger size since without knowing their clothing must run very small. After several emails getting a different answer with each one, the final outcome was absolutely not, the dress cannot be EXCHANGED. I feel so let down and actually feel hoodwinked. I spent close to $400.00 on a beautiful dress I'll never be able to wear. I warned them that I would find as many places as possible to leave a review of my experience. It would be kindly worded but negative in nature. Their response, to ignore me. Not even an apology. Buyer Beware.
This merchant has awful customer service. I bought a size 18 gown and when it arrived it fit more like a 14. So back to l&t it went. It's now been over 2 weeks and i still haven't been issued a refund. Who even takes that long to process returns? Avoid at all costs. All the extra coupons are not worth it. Shop at nordstrom for better customer service.
I ordered two dresses for a wedding, neither one if them were appropriate. As soon as they arrived, I tried them on decided to return- packed them back in the original shipping box and sent right back, in February! I still (June 9) do not have a credit for one of the dresses which L&T lost until April 18. I am still trying to initiate an over $600 credit. Customer service responds like a bot so apparently no one there cares.
I will never order from them again. I received a damaged garment. It was also too small. The return was refused because of the damage. It was never worn, tags still on and it was returned and post marked the same day it was received. I always return the same day so as to get credit quickly. Lesson learned with this company, if you do business with them document everything and take pictures if returning any garments to them. Even if in perfect condition. They will not talk to you on the phone, only via email. Patricia D. Was just an email pusher and had no authority and the warehouse department was absolutely worthless. They should also be inspecting for damage before garments go out. A one sided quality control. Hmmm.
I ordered several items which came in 4 separate shipments on different days. When I received a pair of earrings in one shipment, they were damaged. I have emailed 5 times in the last two weeks to find out if they will at least replace them (the earrings are non returnable). No one has answered my email, and the number I found online is a non working number. The earrings were $88 and I am disgusted.
Answer: Lord & Taylor was reputable until they were purchased by Le Tote in the Fall of 2019. The store and website have gone downhill in quality and customer service since that purchase. Customer service is now based in the Philippines for L&T and Le Tote. They are impossible to deal with. In my personal experience they have committed fraud by not honoring their published return policy and are as good as criminals for accepting a return of merchandise AND keeping my money. I am continuing to fight and now contacting the Division of Consumer Affairs. I already have an open case against them with the Better Business Bureau
