I've been a customer for many years and have their store credit card which gives me special discounts

In its day as "Lord and Taylor's" this store was the gold standard of department stores.

An alternative would have been Saks Fifth Avenue, but that always seemed a little nouveau riche to us.

Bonwit Teller was another elite store... but more haute couture in style.

Lord and Taylor's in its day was just the total package for shopping for the discerning buying class of public.
