The product is junk. When you cancel they continue to charge and send packages. They claim that you canceled the upcoming subscription. They are a disreputable sham.
If I could give zero stars I would. I ordered a box for my twelve year old nephew and it was stuffed with sailor moon things. I requested either a refund or another box because what the hell is my nephew going to do with magical girl things? I got a generic robotic reply that they have themed boxes. Yeah, I know that, but I asked about your refund policy. Their customer service and their boxes are terrible! Do not buy from this service, the price is not worth a box full of junk.
So the first two crates had $#*! stuff in them, third never showed. Turns out my address was wrong and it got sent back and it took 3 weeks to find this out. Customer service never tells me if the crate will ever show up so I have to write another ticket to find out that they need to gather another crate (who knows what happened to the first one) so it will show up in "1 or 2 weeks". It's a week later and no tracking info.
Canceled their service twice both for bad customer service. Would not recommend to friends or family. Just a bad experience.
Their website is not clear, but the collar sizing is not for smaller dogs (chihuahuas etc). The best quality item in the crate is the collar, and it was too big for my dog.
The toy and the treats were also terrible, made out of horrible supplies / ingredients. I tried to contact them about my disappointment and all they had to offer was a vague apology. This was a complete waste of money, and for a service that wants to be subscription based, I wouldn't waste the time giving them a second try.
They show you a plethora of loot crates you can possibly get from the vault, but it's likely (like me) to get multiple duplicates. I ordered multiple in the hopes i'd receive something sweet that i didn't already have. They shipped me 4 of the exact same crate. After talking to a service rep, they took back 3 of them and promised that none of them would be the same.
Much better than what I thought would happen.
I ordered 3 of the 'vault' loot crates on 10/16. When I originally placed order there was no info during order processing the shipping would be at least 2-3 weeks. You have to dig through the website after the fact to find this info. One is supposed to finally arrive on 11/7. We'll see. I still haven't received the shipping confirmation for the other two. I contacted their horrible customer service and received the pre-canned answers. They can't tell me date other two are shipping and gave me song and dance that they are shipping separately for my convenience. Yeah, not buying that. It's for their own convenience. AVOID THEM AND DON'T ORDER FROM LOOT CRATE! Also, in the past they charged me for a reoccurring shipment even though I only ordered 1 month. They did give a refund.
I ordered a loot crate for myself for my birthday, and a shirt from the loot vault. I ordered the loot crate on the 10th of October,@ they're suppose to ship out on the 19th. I also ordered the shirt from the loot vault around the 20th. It is now November 1st, and i haven't even received a shipping confirmation for either one. I have contacted the support team twice, and neither of them have helped with anything. Both of them gave me the exact same Copy and Paste answer. Wish I could leave a better review.
Don't even bother. Ordered the Big Hype October Rumble box: Overwatch, Sonic, Zelda and Titanfall... literal garbage inside. Hope this company fails hard
I have had 3 separate subscriptions through loot crate and have had issues with 2 of them (the 3rd doesn't start until November and was a gift). The items in the crates are hit or miss but the good stuff is usually really good. Your crates will almost always arrive late. Customer service sends out coupons when you aren't happy with something or when they send things out late. These coupons don't work and then refuse to honor them even when you show them EXACTLY what the coupons says. I think they are too focused on adding crates for different fan bases instead of treating their customers fairly and courteously. I've cancelled all my subscriptions and would NOT recommend their service.
I love my Lootcrate. It's like a monthly Christmas gift to myself. Thier email customer service team is spectacular. They answer right away. I had a rip in a lootwear socks this month, and sent a picture via email. They immediately sent out a new pair, and sent me the tracking info.
Lootcrate isn't for kids. It's for geeky older teens and adults. I love it, the tshirts are great. Sure, I might not like every franchise they use, but I have lots of geeky and nerdy friends who do, and so I can pass on anything I'm not fond of.
I bought a whole year, and I'm only three months in, and I couldn't be happier.
Signing up for this was easy. The first box came quickly and the items were OK. I'm guilty of overlooking the basic terms, but still upset about it. I went for the month-to-month subscription, because I only wanted 1 box to try out. The best I could do was sign up for a recurring box, and try not to forget to cancel immediately after the first box shipped. I forgot, but cancelled a week or two after the 2nd box arrived. This was well over a week before the 3rd box was set to ship. I cancelled my account, which was actually very tricky process to navigate on their website. Then, a little over a week later, I received a shipment notification about my 3rd box. I emailed customer service to complain and ask that I not be charged, but was told that "in the agreement" (which they pointed out I was reminded of 3 times in the emails and website literature) I acknowledged that the account would be charged weeks prior to each upcoming shipment, and that I wouldn't be refunded and that the shipment could not be cancelled. I was a sucker, but it sucks that they do business that way. Their response time to emails was impressive, I must admit. Regardless, I don't recommend the box, and I urge against doing business with the company.
I was seriously wanting the halo edition loot crate. It looked cool and had some good things but luckily my friend spotted that it would renew. Not only that but the renewing and billing happened on the same day. You couldn't cancel it without paying for 2. I just wanted one but nope. They had to try to scam me.
I learned about loot crate from listening to some of my favorite pod casts, and was JUST about to subscribe. BUT! I decided to read the reviews and MY GOODNESS!
I just want to thank you all for your feed back.
I bought a three month subscription for my grandson which he enjoyed. Unfortunately, they kept charging my card for additional three months. I emailed and called to cancel... they kept charging and sending. I had my grandson refuse the packages and send them back and called to cancel. They still kept charging my card and sending the monthly packages. The only way I was finally able to get them to stop was when my credit card expired!
Very generic content with very poor shipping. If you want a unique item this is not for you as all loot crate subscribers get the exact same items which is bland and takes the surprise off of everything. I strongly don't recommend loot crate due to is boring content and its very lengthy shipping process.
My wife got me a 6 month subscription... and wow what a waste of money it's like getting a box of $#*!ty China made gifts from a distant relative who you don't even know. Yet they keep sending you a gift every year always. The stuff in the boxes is quite literally useless junk. At best it's all like stocking stuffer toys. At its worst which s basically every month. It's landfill material.
I find this place, set up an Alert, get the alert and quickly go there to try and order. And they are out of the item. I did a "chat" and the lady said they sent out the Alert/email a couple days ago. I explained to her the Email I got just (35 minutes ago at that point)... and she didn't know what happened. Curious about this website/business. Waited time. Based on reviews... maybe it's good I didn't order.
A tshirt and oven mitts? Really you sent oven mitts in a kids loot crate? Absolute garbage. I got a discount on groupon and still feel ripped off. The stuff inside is what you see being sold for. 99 cents on a street corner. Save your money and just throw it in the garbage. Total rip off
I never really cared about the themes. I just loved to get awesome game & movie loot! I started getting lootcrates late 2015, I loved getting the awesome T-shirts, and awesome Figures! But... During April, March & May. I have gotten nothing but dissapointment.
March: I admit the Star Trek T-shirt & the beanie was good. But the Alien Figure had this clear gunk on the side of it, making it look like crap. And I got a cheap paper wallet.
April: My horn that came did not have the band on it. And it did not come in the box. The one thing I saw that peaked my interest was the D20 Ice cube maker, Sadly, the ice would always crack, and there was no way to get it out. The socks were a complete mess. They put more work putting on the designs, then actually making the socks wearable.
May: I got a freaking oven mitt.
All in all, Dont get Loot Crate.
Edit: Oh! I just found out, the reason why they are giving out crap now, is that they have something called "Loot Crate DX" which is where you get the loot you used to get, for twice the price!
Answer: If you look at the good reviews, they are from 2014. This company has gone way down since then. Now they just take your money and never ship. I wouldn't be surprised if they go out of business soon.
Answer: What ever you do, go to your bank account close it, and reopen a new one in your name, that literally seems to be the only way for you to escape their stealing scams. Stay AWAY from them!
Answer: Just accept the loss. It will take weeks to even get a response forom customer service and you will end up with an excuse, expense of returning what you have and will either 1) get two more wrong items after several more weeks, 2) never receive the exchange items at all or 3) get a refund if they are threatened with a PayPal claim.
Answer: Do not buy them here. It takes over a month to receive anything. What you receive will be wrong. Customer service takes weeks to respond. Dissatisfied customers are always selling Crate items on eBay. Best it get them that way.
Answer: Don't order it! Other reviewers are saying that once you cancel it auto renews automatically. Cancelling subscriptions seems to be next to impossible!
