It's been 3 weeks, 6 phone calls and ZERO response to our claim! The furniture which is 8 mos. Old, looks worn out! I would never recommend your store to anyone!
Customer service are rude! Also I just had a Head board delivered the delivery men were so rude and nasty. I will not be buying from living spaces again!
What kind of a company stands by their products so pitifully that they only allow a seven day return period? What this says to me is, "we don't want this crap back." Seven days is woefully short under any circumstances, but add in the constraints of a pandemic and the holidays (decent companies extend their return policy over the holidays) and you have a truly crappy return policy. We ordered a bed headboard that arrived while we were out of town. We realized the size didn't work, and simply wanted to exchange it—unopened and in the original packaging—for a different size, but because we had been out of town, we were already beyond the 7-day period. The customer "service" person gave us a categorical and catatonic "nope." She couldn't have cared less. So, do we have any options, I asked. "Nope," was the reply. So... we're stuck with it? "Yep" was the oh-so-helpful response. So, my advice: Shop elsewhere. And of you do purchase here, be ready to drop whatever you're doing and FLY to the store if you need to do a return or exchange. And regardless, they're going to ding you for a 10% restocking fee. How these people are even in business is beyond me.
I purchased four thousand dollars worth of living room furniture: sofa, chair sleeper and ottoman. "Custom made." Within 2 weeks or so I reported that the fabric is already sagging, the stitching around the cording is puckered and the seats feel gravely. Twice, techs were sent out. They both agreed with me about the poor quality. In each case I was told that LS would call me. They never did. I finally called, talked to a manager who told me "this is just customer preference" and does not come under your warranty. I then sent a letter to the CEO of LS, registered mail, so I know it was received. I have not received any acknowledgement of that letter or my concerns. Reading other reviews (especially about cheap fabric that pills) it is rather obvious that this company doesn't care about their reputation. It's beyond disappointing. The interaction I did have was rude and dismissive. I advise that no one buy, especially, "custom made". The fabrics are cheap and the workmanship is poor and this company does not care. It's a lot of money to pay for junk.
I have been here few times and customer service is worst in san Antonio. They made us wait for help and they be like "someone will be with you shortly". It was very insulting. I do not recommend.
I really wanted to like this store. We bought lots of furniture from here for our new house. The bunk beds for the kids came missing parts, and couldn't be assembled on the day promised. Julie from customer service was so helpful and managed to get the parts shipped to us a little over a week later, but the first night my kids slept in the bed, my daughter woke up bloody and had a massive splitter going through her toe all the way into the nail bed. We immediately called customer service hoping to exchange this defective dangerous bed for another one in the store, and we were told it had been 8 days since delivery, so we could no longer return for store credit. Even though it had only had the parts for full assembly for less than one day! We were told our only option was to file a warranty claim on the bed, and they would get back to me in a week to discuss if this was covered under warranty and whether they could even replace it. This has been the worst experience, the company obviously doesn't care about their customers, and I highly don't recommend them.
Received a rug that was missing entire swatches of weave. Attempted to return using the online system, which did NOT work. The photos I uploaded were never received and trying to use the online chat resulted in nothing. Responses to hours or up to a day to receive (which when you think you are being connected to an actual person is insane) with no results. Lies about the process being initiated, multiple employees with multiple responses that did not match. Called the company, long waits on hold to be told it was my fault for not reporting the problem within 48 hours of delivery. Then I was asked to restart the online return process which I had already done multiple times as well as sending the photos directly to an employee through email response. Asked to speak to a manger, was told I would receive a return label. Never received the label l, and when I called again they said the process for the return had never been started. Asked to speak to a manager again and was told none was available and they would call me back... I don't expect they will.
Also received a sofa table that is missing a screw, the drawers don't close unless you push so hard on the furniture that it moves. Do NOT waste your time or money with this company!
Its sadly to write a review like this; living spaces is an incompetent store to buy your furniture.
We bought majority of our home furniture, and we are not satisfied. I tried reaching out to guest services for managers and they keep making excuses that they are in meetings. When you call regarding a delivery you wait for 30 minutes to get to someone but if you choose the option to buy a new furniture they are very quick to answer. Let me cut it short, we bought a Lodge Otter couch, the sales person told us that it will take 3 weeks for our furniture to be delivered, we got it almost 2 months. When receiving the couch was damaged, we had to order a new couch took another 2 months to receive, today we got the couch and it was not the same color and had much more damage to it, there is a hole in the sides, scratches on the materials. I called 3 stores to get to a manager and no one available. This is ridiculous! You want a good quality couch buy from scandinavian designs, Z Galleria, Crate & Barrels, Wayfair, or even Costco! You will get better quality, furniture in a box, excellent customer service. You spend money these people are incompetent to do business with. We will never go back to buying anything from Living Spaces!
We ordered a couch and an accent chair, but when they were delivered, we noticed a rip in the seam of the accent chair. We told them about the rip when we first noticed it, and they said they could fix it, but we would have to pay for labor. We explained that it's not our fault it was delivered like that, so eventually they gave us a $175 credit, but didn't tell us that it had an expiration date. We'd go in periodically to see if there was anything we liked within that price range, and didn't find anything. When we tried to use it this month and they were like, "oh yeah this expired 30 days after we gave you the credit." We NEVER even received any kind of confirmation, no email, not even instructions on HOW to redeem the credit. The manager was not understanding at all and they could not provide any proof that we were informed of the expiration date. At first he said he could give us a non-negotiable $50 credit, which he later somehow changed to a $75 credit because "we looked like a nice couple", which was really condescending. Overall, it was just such a a terrible experience. Every day the rip gets bigger even though no one sits in it now. The quality is awful and their customer service is even worse.
I bought a $5000 vibrating bed with recline from Living spaces 2 years ago on the extended warranty. The Vibrator part of the bed stopped working, took them weeks to send someone out, then months to offer me a "settlement" of $375, instead of replacing the bed, or repairing the vibrator function. BUYER BEWARE, this company has no customer support, no Technical support, and if you buy a bed you GOT IT, and the best you will get is a Settlement when it breaks and IT WILL BREAK If you use it. Worst company ever to do business with, all they care about is taking your money and not helping when their products FAIL. BUYER BEWARE.
I bought a couch August 21st 2020 with custom upholstery, which is offered by them. I was told by the manager at that time that this would take 2-3 weeks before it arrived in the store.
I checked back in 3 weeks later. When I spoke with a cashier they informed me the average time for this has actually been about 8 weeks. So either I was lied to or the manager was not informed of delayed production. Either way I left a feedback comment internally with them on their site. It is now over right weeks later and I have yet to receive any response on this. Also, as a side note, if I don't want to spend 40 minutes waiting on the phone through their system I have to physically go to the store to check on my order, which is just unnecessarily inconvenient.
I checked back in on this at 8 weeks, this past Friday, and the manager was to busy on a conference call to speak to me. The cashier I spoke with said they would email me an update on the order that evening, which have yet to receive.
I don't feel like I'm asking for much. I spent $2500 on a couch and would like to know where it is and when I can expect it. It's ridiculous I still don't know and I should have been informed up front about this lead time instead of being fed false/inaccurate information.
I guess I'll go back tomorrow... We'll see if I can find someone who cares enough to give me some information on where my order is.
Ordered an 8X10 rugs twice. First one drop shipped was damaged and went to UPS for a claim-Living Spaces would not handle the problem. When UPS settled the claim, we order that same rug again(because that is the one which worked for us) from Living Spaces. The second rug drop shipped was damaged worse than the first one. We refused shipment. We are not able to communicate with Living Spaces even though we have tried in numerous ways and several different times--THERE IS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE.
They are horrible! I made an order on December 29th. I was told I would receive it between January 22-to the 31st. I called and they said February 3rd then they changed it again to February 5 and then they changed it again to February 8th and now they are saying it will be weeks before I see my order. So I went to cancel my order on a 600 dollar purchase and they want to charge me a 10% restock fee. If you are smart you will not do business with this company! I am still fighting with them after hours on the phone.
DO NOT BUY form this ridiculous establishment! I went into their store on President's day weekend looking for sofa options. A Salesperson, "Ronnie," quickly accosted me and offered to "help." Before I knew it, I had purchased a sectional and two chairs. He promised me that the sectional (because I chose a custom fabric) would arrive in two weeks and the chairs would be to me the next day. The chairs arrived the next day. Since February 18, I have received 3 emails from the company letting me know that my sofa was delayed...no explanation. When I asked for a reason they told me they would have "special orders" reach out to me directly, which never happened. So now...mid June...after 30 something emails and relentless phone calls on my part, they tell me that the fabric of the "toss pillow" that I chose is on backorder. I don't even remember the fabric that I chose for the pillows and could care less. I was going to cover them anyway! They won't let me change the order. I would have to cancel and start again. This is completely unacceptable. I cancelled the order and I will NEVER set foot in this cheap, disreputable pit of a store again!
I tried to purchase 2 sofa's, received 1 sofa, and 5 months later still don't have the 2nd sofa. I have been lied to stating that the 2nd sofa was damaged on the delivery truck, when they don't even have the sofa in stock. I understand with Covid there is difficulity, but this is the worst company I have ever dealt with. If you go to the web site and (type) speak with the pop up communication, they don't even relay any info to Living Spaces, it's a joke. Try calling and wait 45 min to 1 hour hold time! I have taken the day off waiting for delivery and no show no call! Just canceled my order and now I am stuck with 1 sofa, when I needed 2... Beyond fustrated! Just recommend going somewhere else to receive honest communication!
My experience with Living Spaces has left me confused and disappointed, overshadowing the initial satisfaction of their services. On March 25th, I purchased a couch that developed a defect by April 1 - a cushion depressingly flattened that was irreparable. I reported the defect within the seven-day return/exchange window. This led to a customer service representative explaining it would allow me another 7-day window to evaluate the repaired couch to decide an exchange or purchase of an extended warranty. Although the defect was addressed by a repair technician by April 4, the technician suggested this is a design flaw, having seen this exact issue with other models.
Initially reassured by customer service that I could opt for an extended warranty within seven days post-repair, I later learned this was not the case. The option to purchase the warranty was only valid within three days of delivery, a critical piece of information that was never communicated during my interactions with their team. This inconsistency in information has left me with a product I am nervous using and stripped me of the opportunity to purchase added protection. A standard one-year warranty feels inadequate for a suspected design flaw. With Living Spaces continuing to sell this couch with known issues, and customer service providing misleading information, my trust in their commitment to customer satisfaction has been lost.
Moving forward, I advise potential customers to approach Living Spaces with extreme caution: secure a significant discount and insist on immediate warranty protection, lest you find yourself in a similar predicament. Their furniture may look appealing but be warned—the post-purchase experience could greatly leave you with more regret than satisfaction.
Mattress delivered was Mushy Junk. I did my homework- examined their website, chose a mattress, visited their store, when their staff did not know how to sell me a firm, edge support, low motion transfer mattress, I had to call their phone staff. I ordered, paid by phone. Two days later, they delivered NOT what I ordered- delivered Mushy Junk. I GOT INTO BED AND SANK. No matter how I moved- I SANK TO A HOLE IN THE MIDDLE of the mattress. Had to climb constantly- waste of time and effort! Am wondering if there is a warehouse full of mushy mattresses - no matter what customers pay for, out goes a mushy mattress delivered. Have reported to 3 federal agencies, and continue to warn people.
When I purchased a leather sofa, the salesperson told me that I would get my other two chairs within two weeks. More than two months later, I contacted customer support to speak with the manager in emails and phone conversations, they avoided getting me one. If I knew I wouldn't get my two chairs within a month, I would not purchase my sofa in the first place. I would shop around elsewhere. My advice is not to trust or believe what the salesperson tells you. It turned out to push a high volume of sales out, not having the best interest in you as a customer. The Living Space staff lied to me and avoided me reaching out to the manager. I only had a sofa and no two chairs for more than two months of inconvenience. I have people sit on the floor because I have no chairs. I don't recommend purchasing your furniture there. I suggest shopping elsewhere to be treated right. The Living Space will not compensate you but take your money. I have read other reviews and they are right! No staff should mistreat the customer when I am purchasing more than $3,000 furniture. That's how bad they are. Not acceptable behavior from the company. Living Space truly disgusts me. I will never buy from them again.
Bookcases arrive three weeks after ordering literally falling apart, SPRAY painted poorly & nowhere near worth 500$ each. L joints upside down, staples, not nails. Not even plywood, maybe melamine. Certainly not real wood as website states. Absolute crap construction.
So I spend an hour getting a pickup scheduled for return. Days later they arrive. Rudely demand broken bookcase go back in its "box" (thin flaps of cardboard- probably why it arrived in pieces).
Ridiculous- but okay, sure I'll do it. Start to box it up and not 30 seconds later look up to see truck driving away, they actually cancelled pickup. I was NEVER told during the hour I spent with living spaces customer service chat that it had to be repacked and I immediately started doing it when they requested it.
Now I get to contact living spaces 3rd party shipping again to get another pickup, and also get another return label from living spaces. Hours wasted. SAVE YOURSELF the in headache and GO TO IKEA. This company is run by crooks. Despicable and unprofessional beyond anything I've ever seen.
I wish I could give 0 star. This was a terrible experience and I don't want other people to go through it. I purchased items over $500 which qualifies for free shipping. I get an email 3 weeks later that they are ready for pick up at a local store. I tried to contact the local store but their phone number is not available online: found out it's the company's policy that they don't have local store numbers available for customers. So I called the centralized customer 1-877 number the wait time was 60 mins. I thought it was a mistake... 16 mins maybe? No it was 60mins and my call got cut off about 40 mins into it. At this time I was quite upset. Called second time and finally got a hold of someone. And they scheduled free delivery on a holiday. Now the items showed up on the date they said they would deliver? No, I called the centralized customer service line again and they said the items didn't get put on the truck and it will have to be rescheduled... and gave us another date with 7 hour window for delivery...
At this point I'm so upset about rearranging our family plan on holiday and just going through this poor customer service.
I do not recommend living space and I will never shop there again. This experience shows me how much they don't care about customers time and experience overall.
Answer: They scammed me too! I am still fighting with them
Answer: There are many furniture companies with similar and likely better products.
Answer: Helpful. People in store very helpful. They did not seem to know about the complaints.
