I placed an order on 1/6. The site said that it would ship in 24 hours and shipping time was 3-4 business days. After 10 days, I contacted the company telling them I never received my merchandise and the tracking stopped tracking after 6 days.
I was told it would arrive by 2/6, not 1/11!

I told them I wanted a full refund as I had to go out and buy the jewelry somewhere else. They keep closing my complaint ticket with no resolution

I have bought my wedding crown and earrings set from here in 2011 and just recently at the end of 2013 I have purchased a pair of shiny tights that fit perfectly (my husband loves them ;) - and three nail polishes - very pretty colors. I have no complaints. As a matter of fact I am currently looking for more tights and I am checking out their dress collection. I am not a dress person but I do think it is important to have a few for the just in case occasions. Especially since Light In The Box has pretty good prices.

I suggest you be very careful when deciding to deal with Lightinthebox. I ordered from them some dresses according to sizes worn in America. Of course, after a long, long time I received the dresses and they were all very small on me. True, they were cheap, but the materials they were made off were also very cheap. I tried to control my disappointment and politely emailed to them to send me a return slip because I didn't want to pay for their return. I send them many emails and every time I did, I got back a message "problem solved." I even had problems donating those dresses to thrift shops because the sizes were not fit for American people. This blog is only the beginning because I'm also trying to get in touch with the Commerce Department. No US citizen should lose money the way I did.

As our size chart is not US size, you need to measure yourself first and refer to the corresponding size chart to decide which size to take. If you just pick 1 or 2 size larger without refer to the specific measurements, the clothes are always go small. We appreciate your kind understanding in advance.

Amazing

My experience with the service by Lightinthebox was one of the best! I had wanted to return an item and usually returns are down by getting your money back but i wanted to ask for a different thing, an exchange. I was so lucky to have such amazing people to help me out. They comprimised with me! Were quick with replies, listened to my requests, and left me outstandingly satisfied. I was able to receive an exchange and got exactly what i wanted. I am eternally grateful.

Do not order anything from this company if you need it by the time frame they claim. Both their packaging
And shipping time frames have been significantly longer than stated. I have communicated many time with them and have put in trouble tickets. Every time I get some very lame excuse and they close the ticket with zero resolution. I even told them before they shipped not to ship as I could tell they would arrive late based on the processing delay. They shipped anyway. I can tell it will be a battle to return and get paid paid back.
I suggest you trust very little of what they have on their site and what their customer service people tell you. It is clear they will say anything to get the product sold.

It has now been months and still no refund.

I placed my first order a couple of months ago and I was so impressed with the silk bedding that I placed another order. It arrived today. Fabulous, luxurious and sumptuous!
The second is slightly different from the first, as you would expect from a handmade item. I have not seen any silk bedding sets to compare and to say that I am delighted is an understatement. Each order arrived in less than two weeks. I have been able to track them all the way. Very happy! Thank you.

Not possible to make returns... buyer beware!

I just contacted Lightinthebox regarding a dress I ordered on their website. The positive is that the item shipped relatively quickly, the problem is that I ordered a small and the dress swallowed me whole. The waste on this item is about 40", that is not a small! This was like getting an XL. The tag inside says small, so I know I got the right size. Unfortunately, when I reached out to customer service they gave me a choice to 'return' for 10% of the value, a 20% credit, or pay to return to China, which will cost more than the dress itself... not very good options. I don't mind eating the shipping, but just is unfortunate to not be able to return an item. Especially when the sizing was terrible.
I want to note that I did receive a refund, which I appreciate. However, I still would not order from this company again. Sizing was way off, and I can't make returns in the future. I do want to recognize that the company did at least try to make it right... going form 2 stars to 3.

Allow me to mention that we sell our clothing with their exact measurements indicated in both centimeters and inches. This is the reason why we usually won't consider a sizing issue as a quality problem. Given the dress value wasn't high, my colleague tried persuading you keeping the product with a small discount. I am sorry if you found this to be inappropriate, while in fact this was well-meant. This allows you to reevaluate which options are most beneficial. At the same time, I can understand you are not eager having to bear financial loss on this. On another note you should be able to send back a parcel from the US to China for the amount of 14.25$ (First-Class Package International Service). LightInTheBox is the place I go for that one of a kind item. I also find my specialty items at great prices. Recently I ordered a Wall Sticker (Romantic Sunset Landscape Cherry Tree) 3D Fake Window Sticker to use as a fake window for a prop wall in a musical theater production. We did have to pay extra for faster delivery but the base price was the best on the internet so we didn't mind. The delivery was quick and the product was beautiful. It worked great.

The worse online shopping

I received the cell phone holder in at least 30 small pieces without any instructions on how to put it together. I also order iPhone charger and received something else. It was so difficult to communicate with them regarding the mistake, and waisted som much time doing so without any results. I will never buy anything from them again.

LightInTheBox seems to be a responsible company that has a quality control problem. The larger the operation, the more difficult Quality Control is. The other problem is they don't have a US return facility which limits their ability to deal well with return issues. The one positive is, in this case, they agreed to provide full refund on the item after some negotiations. Their initial offers were not unreasonable if the product was marginally useful.

We've twice used LightInTheBox, both times there were issues because of poor quality control on their part. They do not have a US return presence. LightInTheBox is NOT like dealing with Amazon. You have to pay to return your item to China. Communications with them is slow and only through their web site, you must have a logon.

Terrible sizing
November 10, 2022

I had never heard of this site, but with the prices, thought I'd give it a try. I purchased 11 golf shirts (2xl). As I always do when I purchase clothing, they go directly into the washing machine on gentle cycle and cold water. When I took them out of the washing machine and was putting them into the dryer, I noticed how small, tight and short they were. ALL of them were marked 2XL, but they are more like medium to large sizes here in the USA. So needless to say, $110+ down the drain. Buyer beware.

Awesome

This company is awesome, I purchased some paintings from Beddinginn and they were terrible, freight took over 2 months, paintings were damaged and they would not return new ones or offer my money back... So I tried this company. Freight was on time, pictures where safely wrapped no damage and exactly what the pictures looked like on their site.

Quicker than expected!

My package got here fast! I was not expecting it for another week or two. Since they were motion sensor lights, I was wondering if they would make it here in good working order. I had them charged and mounted before it was even dark. These lights are doing exactly what I bought them for. I have a long hall with regular lights on either end, I set these up to light the middle. It would have taken an electrician to put in another light, it would have been expensive. These are perfect, they come on, when needed and turn off as needed. I plan on getting some more for a large walk in closet!
So I give 5 stars.

You can see on LightintheBox that there are many beautiful dresses. Quality is good. Be very careful: LightintheBox considers ALL dresses to be 'custom fit' even if you just pick a size on their drop-down menu, so it is not returnable. If it fits, and the color is what you envisioned, you will be very happy with the purchase.

Terrible. After 3 weeks tracking never updated.

Ordered a month in advance of a golf outing. Label created, supposedly sent to a go between but it has never been in USPS system. Outing came and went. Email complaint they tell ME to check with USPS and to verify my address. Horrible customer service. Can't get my shirt. Can't get a refund. STAY AWAY!

DON'T EVER BUY FROM HERE!

The WORST online experience! Shipping is never really guaranteed to be on time. I sign in as a guest to purchase, but to track my shipment you need make a login. Tried to make a log in with my email and they don't even send a link to do so. Made an entirely different login with a different email to make a ticket they require you to have in order to contact them and they asked for proof of purchase. Sent that and then they erased my ticket to no longer be found. They don't even have a real "contact us" email or number if you have issues. I was already charged for my item and have not received it or been able to get in contact them for a refund! Please don't buy from this company. They are such con artist. Save yourself the hassle of trying to get in contact from them for any reason. If I could rate them with ZERO OR NEGATIVE stars I would!

Horrible company
September 7, 2021

Horrible company! I ordered a fitness watch from Lightinthebox and it took nearly a month (rather than the promised 7-10 days) to receive it. The readings on the watch are drastically wrong when compared to my accurate blood pressure cuff and oximeter. The company will not refund my money and let me return the watch without a VIDEO of what is wrong. That would require my sharing protected health information and taking a lot of time to video readings on the watch and on my other devices. This company is horrible. I would give it a minus five stars if that were possible.

Interesting gadgets and items

A bad experience.

I ordered cotton joggers tfor £37 that looked great on their website but received a very cheaply made polyester imitation. What a complete rip off. Disgraceful! UPDATE: I have now received a full refund an an apology, however this took up a great deal of my time.
