The company's reputation is significantly marred by widespread customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to frequent reports of scams and unresponsive sellers. Users express frustration over the prevalence of non-serious buyers and automated responses that hinder genuine transactions. Concerns about safety and a lack of effective customer support are also prominent, with many customers feeling neglected when issues arise. Although some users have found success in selling through the platform, the overall sentiment leans heavily towards disappointment, suggesting a pressing need for improved oversight and customer service to enhance user experience and trust.

Had 7 items on both letgo and craigslist and 6 of 7 have sold; and all 6 sold from craigslist. Letgo is more social media like with people "favorited" your sale item with no intention of purchasing. In addition, people are constantly telling you they are interested and after response that is the last you here from them. Also no method to move your listing back to the top without paying $1.99... each time, so if your listing is not answered early in process it ends up so far down the list nobody will ever see it!
Blocked about 27 people in a months time for no replies after asking me if I still have items available yet to never respond again. Let's say you list something that is say a real deal at $100 and could sell for $300 most of them offer in the range of 10 to 20$. It's full of idiots and the people that make America the s$#/hole it is today. The no shows after you give them a address is great too. I resell for living craigslist believe it or not is the winner everytime. I list on both sights in the last month I have sold 38 items on craigslist and 2 on letgo and all items were on both sights with same price. Letgo app let's buyers hide behind their keyboards and not give out their number. If letgo would make them give a contact number open to public like craigslist as of contacting through phone or a text with your real number, things would be a lot different. You can scream at no shows through app and they will never respond that's what they want is you to get worked up but if I had a number to call, I think they wouldn't hand out so much B. S. delete this app if you have it it's a waste of time space, seriously. Unless you like being pissed off all the time, this is for you then.
I didn't get my hopes up on my husband and I selling our land on our own on a post. I took pictures of the inside & out. Wrote in big CAPS read information before contacting me. Then wrote everything about the house. Most didn't read the information I had 2 scammers that acted like they wanted the property constantly harrassing me to come see the inside. I reported them & blocked them. The others just harrassed me either with wanting to lower the price $20,000 or contacting me over and over asking different question.
Letgo is a joke. I have used Craigslist for 25 years and not once had any issues with crazy nuts like these
People are getting mad at me for accidently clicking that stupid star which sends sellers the message that I'm interested when I'm really not. I mean the people that get mad are obviously d*** heads but it's ruining this app..
I have used letgo.com about 6 months as a seller. I am honest, take many pics, go into painstaking detail to describe items and always try to be polite. I was doing quite well at first, had a few weird messages but for the most part it was great. Today finally did it for me. I want nothing more to do with it. I'm so tired of people trying to get you down to nothing and then get nasty and rude when you won't give it to them. I never overprice, and yet I'll have people wanting me to GIVE things away. I've been cussed out, called bad names, and always always always people make snarky remarks. ENOUGH! I think it could be a good thing but there are just too many jerks on letgo playing around. I'm tired of wasting my time with people saying "is it available?" to never write back, or worse yet, asking me to hold an item, giving me a time they will come by to pick it up. And they never message. Never show up. I'll go back to ebay. Not worth the headaches and the just plain stupidity running rampant on there.
People play so many games, you post and item and the do not read the info and they assume the wrong price and get mad because I would not just give them my merchandise I am trying to sell. I posted new items that I know you cannot go to the store and buy for $5, people on this site are just crazy, and dont have any money, wishful thinking, want your stuff but cannot afford to buy, stay off the site if you cannot afford it.
I have used letgo a lot. They have changed! Not in a good way. It won't save filters or locations. I've had pretty good luck with seller's but not with buyer's. I can no longer zoom. It was great before the changes but now it takes to long to navigate through the site.
This website is a waist of time. People who seem to want to play around not really wanting to buy your merchandise. I even put my stuff for a real low price because thats all thats on here is low ballers and i still did not have any success with a sale. I receive unwanted notifications
You really have to be desperate to sell on this site. I had a bad experience with some of the crazies and reported it to Letgo. They did absolutely nothing. You're better off at a swap meet. If Craigslist had a toilet for for human Sh$%Bags, it would empty into LetGo. Seriously avoid buying and especially selling on there. The experience ranks up there with prison rape, ulcerative collitis, and amazon seller support.
After using the site & app, i looked at the comments about the system and fake accounts and such, and agree. I had 2 ideas to improve the site in the way that people would be able use it, and make some things easier on both ends.
[ Better UI]
{ " Have the chat box as the primary form of contact. "}
{ " Have the quick chat options as a secondary Icon popup option "}
--This would prevent users from accidentally clicking responses, and sending them to the seller when they are browsing.
[ Pricing Options]
{ " Have an option to make the price FINAL or ASKING "} - inspired by offerup's system.
-This would prevent them from trying to quick chat the response unless the seller chose the Asking price option.
These are only 2 ideas i have had, and most likely others as well, while using the app/website.
There are more ideas that may help improve the app/website, but these were my 2 biggest ones.
* Below is a photo of the first idea.*
*Note this is not HTML or any other form of programming, this is just to show the flow*
** UPDATE **
After seeing a post on the Gold Star, i would consider removing it from the main pages, as people can accidentally click/tap it; sending a response to the seller.
I would put this under the same popup tab as the quick response.
If anything, update it so it adds the current post to a folder
I. E. (watching list)
By doing this, it would only inform the seller they're watching the item for a possible purchase in the future if the item is still around.

Easy to use and I like that messages are in real time - no waiting. A few issues Ive had is the app deletes history out of the blue and also unable to reply to messages, so have to shut down and reboot or wait. It also does not allow you to post a group of things altogether and again separately because somehow it recognizes the item and automatically deletes the ad. Frustrating! Also, it keeps reading addresses as phone numbers and blocks house numbers so people have to keep asking for the address.
I THINK ITS THE LETGO EMPLOYEES. At first i sold a lot and then the fake profiles happened. I've been harassed for weeks now by fake profiles. These apps wont last if you can harass people at will. Not a good experience at all. Seems to me like its an emoloyee of letgo. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS APP
I've had no success at all since I started using Letgo about 2 months ago. All I ever get are notifications of people" favoriting" one of my items. People... are you interested in it or not? I don't care if you like the item do you want to buy or not? If not, don't waste my time scouring through useless notifications.
I tried to purchase an item from a seller on Letgo, but it was the most exasperating experience. It seems, that you have to go back to the actual ad on the site to receive replies from the seller. Then you have to click on a little, nondescript icon, to view the conversation. It also seems that the only comments that the seller receives are the prepared captions, but not anything you type in the chat line.
I initially sent the seller my phone number, asking them to call me, but after a few hours, I used one of the captions, to which they replied, asking for my phone number so they could text me.
From now on, I'll be shopping on Kijiji, which redirects emails through their website, to retain privacy, instead of all of the nonsense I have described here.
Warning! Do not list your items on Letgo. It will drive you crazy.
I had many successes, made a little money on my old stuff, met some nice people except one guy who cussed me out because I would not lower my price. ( His offer was way too low.) So walk away from them creeps and report them to Letgo. That isn't my problem. My problem had been a constant problem with ERROR MESSAGES. I use a new tablet, the letgo app through Google has some serious optimization issues. That's the developer's responsibility. Letgo support has been contacted several times for reset, they try, it works for a while, then the error messages return. There are 4 customers who are trying to reach me right now, I can't respond, because the app won't accept my login or my password. So I gave up. I moved my stuff to OFFER UP this week, not as popular as letgo, but not one error message. Advice: always use a laptop, not a tablet. The tablet will fail eventually.
Experienced seller here and I've witnessed the demise of private party buying & selling since the Internet era. There are a few NEW genres of human out there: 1) Scammers and 2) Low-ballers who have no sense of buyer etiquette. They congregate on sites like Letgo and Craigslist.
Please hear me, Letgo--I really don't care if someone "favorited" my ad!
From my experience of placing about 20 ads on Letgo, I can honestly say that this company does not have a handle on things. Their TV spots are clever, but, in reality, you're only going to waste your time on Letgo...
Nothing but people wanting everything for nothing. When they don't get it, they cuss you out. Appears to be a site full of "hot" items.
This is just a site that probably started with good intent, but has attracted the werdo's and low baller's. Just like Craig's list, you have to meet and pick up your items. You have to be careful and be aware that you don't know who you're meeting.
No sales. Just non-buyers playing scam games. Deleted the app in a week. Letgo should have monitoring in place. No one uses it for what it is intended. Ridiculous.
I've listed 5 items on here and not sold one on Let Go. 3 of the 5 items were listed simultaneously on Craig's List and sold through there. The ONLY people who contact me on my Let Go listings are extreme low-ballers; I mean almost to the point of insulting. Apparently, this is where low-ballers go to shop. Bottom line: If you want to "give it away" either list it on Let Go or take it to Goodwill.
Answer: I worked as a reviewer for several sites and when they have very little reviews or no reviews people like me are paid to say how great they are. You can verify these in Amazon reviews some of them praise items like there is no tomorrow full pages of nice reviews. When you see the contradicting reviews go for the bad one is the honest one.
Snap, post, chat, and sell. letgo, the app that lets you buy and sell quickly and locally in the United States.
