Lensabl has garnered a reputation for providing high-quality lenses and a convenient service for replacing lenses in existing frames, with many customers expressing satisfaction with the product quality and the speed of delivery. However, concerns have been raised regarding customer service responsiveness, particularly during issue resolution, as well as occasional discrepancies in prescription accuracy. While many customers appreciate the transparency and communication throughout the process, there are notable frustrations related to the handling of returns and remakes. Overall, Lensabl is viewed positively, though improvements in customer support could enhance the overall experience.

I am very disappointed with the replacement prescription lenses for my Smith Challis sunglasses. They do not match the order details requested and confirmed in email responses from their support staff. In addition, the frames as returned to me have been stretched wider across temple to temple to accommodate their lenses and no longer fit.
I purchased a pair of frames from an outside company and had new lenses placed in them. They turned out great. The glasses that I purchased from the company felt really cheap. They are wayyyy to big on my face and fall off and the arms are bent making the glasses not lay properly on my face.
Frames are of a delicate design... I was informed that they might break, but what did I have to lose? They turned out great!
I have had 3 frames "reglassed" by Lensable... they deliver good value.
I waited a month for my rx safety glasses to get to me so I could use them for work, and I paid for premium add ons for my lenses. I opened my package around midnight last night and finally got to see them in the daylight today. There are tool marks on both lenses. They look like circles in the top outer corners. I have photos. And the inside of one of the lens sockets looked gauged out or scratched. I did not expect to receive them this way. I wish I could attach the photos to show how they look.
Usually I wear my recent Progressive lenses from my optometrist, and I attach clip-on sunglasses for outdoor wear. But I found that walking or hiking on uneven surfaces was difficult because looking down at the ground, I was seeing through the reading part of my lenses which distorted the ground and made it hard to maneuver without tripping, or I'd have to drop my head to see the ground clearly through the top of my lenses. Another problem I had using clip-on sunglasses were lots of reflections that would obliterate a clear view. So I ordered from Lensabl single vision lenses (for distance only) with the highest grade of Transition sunglass tint and provided an older frame of mine. I'm very happy with what I received from Lensable. They solved both of those problems. I can even drive with my new glasses on, since I can easily see the odometer on my dashboard, even if it is a bit fuzzy. My only issue with the Lensabl Transition lenses is that the sunglasses don't get as dark as I would like. They do get very clear indoors, which is an improvement over transition lenses I had many years ago. But I can always use my clip-on sunglasses if I need them to be very dark, like when walking the beach on a sunny summer day. Also before I ordered my new glasses from Lensabl I checked with my optometrist to see what he would charge for the same thing. They came in about $100 more than Lensabl. The only reason I gave my new glasses 4 stars instead of 5, was that I wish the Transition lenses got a bit darker. I will recommend this company to friends. Great experience. Thank you, Lensabl.
Sent my frames in December and I have been waiting for an entire month fir the process to complete. It totally worth the waiting! My lenses were perfect. Now I know that the process will not be as quick as I expected, but the final product worth waiting for.
The process is seamless and easy! My only regret is I waited so long to actually order.
I just received my fifth pair of glasses that I had Lensabl replace my progressive lenses in and of course they were perfect! I have never had an issue with any of my lenses even when I had to do my own measurements. I'm not sure how they have perfected it, but they hit a homerun with my progressive lenses each time!
I have developed a bad habit of purchasing very expensive frames. To replace the lenses at the retailers cost hundreds of dollars so Lensabl is definitely my go-to place for replacement lenses!
I shipped this to be fulfilled at the end of November and I got them back at the end of January. I'd like more of sense of the timeline next time. New lens have worked fine.
I am happy way beyond my expectations. Not only was this so much less expensive than other options, the immediate clarity of my lenses... well, they were perfect, even better than my original prescription fulfillment. I especially loved the option for non-smudge, dust and fog resistant, blue ray protection! And they were fast and mad the process SO easy! I will never shop anywhere else for my lenses.
Nice and quick. Nice packaging. Nice case for the glasses and lense cleaner. The lenses are loose in my frames, so worried about durability over time.
Firstly, I'd like to say that the glasses arrived very quickly. That was good. What I did not like was that at no point in the process was I explicitly informed that I needed to provide PD (pupillary distance) and OCH (ocular center height) measurements. I completed my order, printed out the shipping labels and promptly sent my glasses off to get the new lenses I was so excited about. Only after doing this was I required to log in and look at my account, where I then found out that I could have done those measurements easily, IF I HAD BEEN TOLD TO DO SO DURING THE PROCESS. Can you tell I'm irritated about this? That said, up until this point I am the one at fault... HOWEVER, once the glasses had been shipped, I was unable to get customer service to deal with the issue for me. I offered to pay for the shipping to and from my house because I wanted the lenses to be as accurate as possible to my eyes. I would've been happy to pay the extra $14. Instead, they just kept right on making the effing lenses. The glasses arrived and, truth be told, they're probably fine. But if I'm going to spend north of $200 on lenses I want them to be better than fine; I want them to be as good as they can be.
My glasses are not working for me. The prescription isn't correct and I can't see clearly thru them up close or at a distance. I know my prescription is very nearsighted. Not the right choice for me.
I had two frames I sent in fitted with RX lenses. The eyeglasses came out fine. The Sunglasses look great, however, the polarization is out of phase with the other lense. So when you look through them it creates a bright/dull sensation like 3d glasses.
I sent my old frames to Lensabl on 30 December and received them back on 26 January. Although USPS has reported delivery backlogs, it became clear after repeated status checks that the delay was at the Lensabl end... The lenses are fine and the pricing for them was reasonable.
I bought two pairs of lens from Lensabl: 1st is for sunglasses (non-prescription) - they're fine. The second is for prescription reading glasses. I can't use them at all! They make me dizzy and give me a headache. I'm terribly disappointed!
My order was delayed (it took a month and a half to receive my glasses back) due to multiple lab rejections. The lenses are good quality, though, I just received them.
Received my glasses back yesterday & they are horrible. Prescription is incorrect, frames are bent out of shape & screws are missing.
Everything is perfect. I have progressive reading sunglasses for my Bose frames which is exactly what I was hoping existed, but had no idea until I found you guys. Jason answered every question, which was lots, in my support request #*******. He even let me
Hit pause on my order when I freaked out and realized I might have given the wrong correction power. Which I did. Have been using the new lenses today and they exceed my expectations. Will order again.
Real easy to pick and choose lens that I wanted and I liked how convenient it is for me to ship my old glasses to them and back rather quick
Answer: I was not so lucky and have had a horrible experience withLensabl. After two months I'm still waiting for progressive lenses that cost over $600 and Neither my frames nor the lenses I ordered are back to me. Next time I will use a local eyewear store.
Answer: They falsely boosted about putting new lenses in existing frames (in a very short turn around like a week) not the 8 months it's been
Answer: Once your frames arrive at our lab, assuming you've provided all required Rx information, lens production is 4-7 business days on average before shipping
Answer: I purchased some really awesome vintage glasses with octagonal black plastic frames made in France, probably from the late 1960s or early 1970s. I was so excited to have them made into sunglasses. I took them to my local optical shop and was told, "I hope you didn't spend much on these because you wasted your money. No one will touch frames this old, because the plastic is so brittle it will just shatter." I was so disappointed. I tossed them in a drawer and forgot about them for a few months. Then I saw an ad for Lensabl online. I contacted them and asked if they could work with vintage frames, and the answer was "No problem!" I was nervous to send the frames in but figured I didn't have anything to lose. I just received the glasses back in the mail today (two weeks from when I mailed them in), and they are incredible! The frames were cleaned and straightened, and the new lenses are perfect. I love them so much. Thanks, Lensabl!
Answer: They clearly don't have the infrastructure set up to be in this business where each frame is a customer order. In cases like they they are not staffed with customer services that can be actually helpful which only result in wrongly made glasses. They broke my glasses and are not trying to it at all. I posted review on here before and then it just disappeared for some reason, I'm not sure if they are paying people to get rid of negative reviews.
Answer: Transitions take an upwards of 30 seconds to Transition. The weather conditions can impact the Transition time. Brighter and warmer outside conditions= transitions faster.
Answer: I am having the same experience. Took my money, lost my frames and have done nothing on refund nor damages. I filed with BBB as well. Why are they still in business is a surprise to me?How many more consumers do they need to harm before they are fined and/or shut down?
Answer: All prices are in USD ($) but we do ship to Canada as well :)
Answer: Yes all of our lenses are guaranteed or we will re-make them if any issues once you receive them back. Thanks!
