Lensabl has garnered a reputation for providing high-quality lenses and a convenient service for replacing lenses in existing frames, with many customers expressing satisfaction with the product quality and the speed of delivery. However, concerns have been raised regarding customer service responsiveness, particularly during issue resolution, as well as occasional discrepancies in prescription accuracy. While many customers appreciate the transparency and communication throughout the process, there are notable frustrations related to the handling of returns and remakes. Overall, Lensabl is viewed positively, though improvements in customer support could enhance the overall experience.

It took a little longer than I anticipated but the wait was well worth the finished product
Very smooth transaction and completed in a timely manner
First time using your company. Very pleases with the result.
I chose to stop sending emails because when I did send one I received a strong email in return telling me to stop sending them.
However, I have received about 15 emails with discounts and everything else for more product. It would be nice of those stopped.
This only took a week from shipping out to coming back.
When the glasses finally arrived they were great. They took forever to ship!
Excellent experience. Would do again. Second time already.
Easy to submit! Great process for getting custom lenses!
Temple tips on the glasses are stretched so they fall off. I didn't realize before sending in. Would like lensabl offered repair. Will check with local obstetricians. Lenses however are perfect. Just check your glasses before sending in. I have another pair I will try with replacing that still fit well.
This is my first time to use Lensable. The entire process was very user friendly and I received my new glasses in a timely manner. I am very pleased with the entire experience.
My favorite frames were discontinued. My lenses had become very scratched. I found Lensabl will replace lenses in your frames so I was thrilled. The cost was higher than some other online glasses, but half the price of going to a regular store. The process was easy. I just mailed them my frames & filled out my script on their website. My like new again glasses were returned in a few weeks. They came back in an awesome case with cleaner & cleaning cloth. I would use this site again!
Prescription was right on but the fit of one lens was just a bit loose. Not so much that I think it will fall out, but enough that when I clean the lens I can feel it move.
The amount of time this took was too long for my needs.
Sent in an old pair of frames and a brand new prescription. Sent the prescription exactly even sending a photo of the prescription. Apparently I clicked a button incorrectly on the type of lenses I preferred. When my glasses arrived I could only see out of the top 1/2 inch of the lenses. They said I had ordered incorrectly and in order to replace I would need to repay the entire cost. So I am left with an unusable pair of glasses and am out all the money I paid. This was a total loss for me and I have NO glasses with my new prescription so I'm left wearing my old ones that I can't even see out of. What a disaster!
I shop almost exclusively online and, to be fair, most are excellent, delivering what they promise when they promise it. Lensabl doesn't seem to be in the eyewear/lens business. It's a nice idea but...
When you send in your frames they will go to a place called Duffens Optical, a warehouse in Denver CO, and owned by Essilor Labs of America. The principals and investors in Lensabl are scattered about the country. Easy to find but I'm not going to DOX them. There's nothing wrong with this but if you're expecting prompt attention to your custom, well, I wouldn't.
The problems, many of which are already noted by other customers, including ignoring the prescription's specs of segment height (bifocal location). Turnaround times? Four to Seven working days? Hmmmm...it was seven working days before they even began working on mine. Finally they showed up three weeks after placing the order on 01FEB24 but immediately evident they were useless. Here's where it starts to really fall apart.
Delays built while Lensable communicated with Duffens to see if I was telling the truth. Pretty obvious just looking at the lenses, they were that far off. So much for the meticulous quality assurance. Promised to remake the lenses and send them so I could do the labour and change the lenses myself. Gave a turnaround of 4-7 days. Yep, you got it, not even started yet or, as they say, "still in production." Anyone who has had lenses made same day knows production doesn't mean two weeks. Sigh.
So, we come to my warning. Lensabl isn't going to let go of your money -- your fault, their fault, nobody's fault -- they will flaunt Federal Trade Commission regulations about online orders. I've had to turn it over to American Express.
I haven't done a good Homer in a long time but this qualifies. An optician in the next town over can make the lenses same day and for a little more than half what Lensabl charged me.
If I had gone there I would have glasses but, thanks to Lensabl, I don't. Sure glad I have spares -- made by the VA in less than a week.
"Doh!"
Please be aware before placing an order with Lensabl. I received confirmation my frames were received on January 7 and did not receive part my order until February 22. I am still missing an entire pair of glasses and no one has any idea what happened. I requested a refund after waiting over a month and a half, I was disconnected from customer service and all of a sudden received a shipping confirmation. When I received part of my order, there was an obvious quality issue, it seems as the lab rushed to fill my prescription to avoid a refund…and still I do not have my entire order. Be careful before purchasing from a company where you are not able to speak to someone directly over the phone; I have been passed from person to person, manager to manager through email and chat and am still fighting this. The company will not offer a refund for an order that was not filled and/or has a quality issue. Be careful with this company.
Absolutely terrible. Website says four to seven business days and I finally received my order after EIGHT WEEKS. One of the pairs wasn't done correctly and the other pair was a pair of cheap readers they put my prescription in that kinda looked like the pair I sent it but were a totally different pair of glasses. Customer service is terrible, the phone and chat agents only have access to the same information you do on the website, so you have to wait for an email back to get any real information. I want MY glasses back! Not something that kinda of looks like them you picked up at the pharmacy counter.
Answer: I was not so lucky and have had a horrible experience withLensabl. After two months I'm still waiting for progressive lenses that cost over $600 and Neither my frames nor the lenses I ordered are back to me. Next time I will use a local eyewear store.
Answer: They falsely boosted about putting new lenses in existing frames (in a very short turn around like a week) not the 8 months it's been
Answer: Once your frames arrive at our lab, assuming you've provided all required Rx information, lens production is 4-7 business days on average before shipping
Answer: I purchased some really awesome vintage glasses with octagonal black plastic frames made in France, probably from the late 1960s or early 1970s. I was so excited to have them made into sunglasses. I took them to my local optical shop and was told, "I hope you didn't spend much on these because you wasted your money. No one will touch frames this old, because the plastic is so brittle it will just shatter." I was so disappointed. I tossed them in a drawer and forgot about them for a few months. Then I saw an ad for Lensabl online. I contacted them and asked if they could work with vintage frames, and the answer was "No problem!" I was nervous to send the frames in but figured I didn't have anything to lose. I just received the glasses back in the mail today (two weeks from when I mailed them in), and they are incredible! The frames were cleaned and straightened, and the new lenses are perfect. I love them so much. Thanks, Lensabl!
Answer: They clearly don't have the infrastructure set up to be in this business where each frame is a customer order. In cases like they they are not staffed with customer services that can be actually helpful which only result in wrongly made glasses. They broke my glasses and are not trying to it at all. I posted review on here before and then it just disappeared for some reason, I'm not sure if they are paying people to get rid of negative reviews.
Answer: Transitions take an upwards of 30 seconds to Transition. The weather conditions can impact the Transition time. Brighter and warmer outside conditions= transitions faster.
Answer: I am having the same experience. Took my money, lost my frames and have done nothing on refund nor damages. I filed with BBB as well. Why are they still in business is a surprise to me?How many more consumers do they need to harm before they are fined and/or shut down?
Answer: All prices are in USD ($) but we do ship to Canada as well :)
Answer: Yes all of our lenses are guaranteed or we will re-make them if any issues once you receive them back. Thanks!
