Lensabl has garnered a reputation for providing high-quality lenses and a convenient service for replacing lenses in existing frames, with many customers expressing satisfaction with the product quality and the speed of delivery. However, concerns have been raised regarding customer service responsiveness, particularly during issue resolution, as well as occasional discrepancies in prescription accuracy. While many customers appreciate the transparency and communication throughout the process, there are notable frustrations related to the handling of returns and remakes. Overall, Lensabl is viewed positively, though improvements in customer support could enhance the overall experience.

The entire process was absolutely professional and seamless. The online instructions provided for mailing in existing glasses were very clear. My new lenses arrived beautifully packaged in about 2-3 weeks, exactly as promised. Cost was a fraction of what I was quoted at LensCrafters.
I had my own frames, I wanted blue light blocking lenses. I received a box from Lensabl and mailed my frames. I got them back and the lenses are very nice! Professional work done for a great price. I checked with Lenscrafters and they would charge me $175 to put in blue light blocking lenses. I'm so happy with Lensabl and the price!
Ordering: easy to set up with small hurdles, pick up box came quickly super easy. I entered in my prescription and uploaded a picture of it along with PD value. Was notified later that the prescription for the order was incomplete. It turned out that the webpage was not recognizing the PD value so I emailed support and received a very quick response saying the issue was taken care of. Glasses were complete and mailed out soon after.
Now the bad news: I suspect in an effort to refit the lenses the technician bent the metal hinges outward or the plastic frames themselves (didn't know that was possible). When I put the glasses on they no longer had any tension to keep them on my face. So yes, I spent >$70 to get a pair of glasses I can't use. I theorize this may not be an issue with metal frames that can be bent back but the lack of attention to detail to me suggests this is still somewhat an amateur operation rather than a full-fledged professional one. Consider that at the price I paid I paid 50% the price of a brand new pair of Warby Parkers (I don't have vision insurance).
Take away: don't use this service for plastic frames. If you have any doubts just go Warby Parker and get a brand new pair.
Despite having issues downloading pics and twice for Rx, I am glad to have progressive bifocal sunglasses again. I'm am disappointed that they didn't replace the nose pads as they still have green around the connecting point. So the first thing I did was clean that up. I was sure that they would replace but with toothpicks and white vinegar I was able to freshen up the nose pads.
Just received my glasses and I love them! Thank you
Sending and receiving top notch. Email communication about a 5 as some can't be opened. Otherwise quality great.
Still can't believe that I didn't have to go to a store to get glasses. They always told me that they couldn't use my old frames. Now I know better. Thank you for saving me a bunch of money.
After cataract surgery, I got progressives. Great for daytime use, but I read in bed in the morning: not so good for that. So I sent my old readers to Lensabl—so much more comfortable. I should've done it sooner.
To be fair when I first signed up for Lensabl I was a bit hesitant as I had read some negative reviews about their service. I wasn't sure whether they could be trusted with my new Tom Fords that I had purchased. I am very glad that I took the risk as my experience was AMAZING. Within a few days after signing up, I received a nice box to send in my Tom Fords. When they received my frame, they sent me a notice that my frame had been received and they updated me with the status from putting in the lens to coating the lens. Within a few days, my frame was back in the post and back in my hands with my prescription in it. It came in a nice box with a Lensabl glasses case and a lens cleaning set. Great great experience at an amazing price. The cherry on top is that they take FSA! Highly recommend this company to everyone.
To start I had a name brand frames for several years that I would wear at night since I wore contacts during the day so they were rarely worn. I was at my optometrist office and wanted to update the prescription in the lenses. She basically talked me out of it saying the frames are rolled and won't hold the lenses anymore. Of course buying new frames and lenses. I loved my old frames so much and the lenses have not fallen out after four years. I decided to look online to see who could replace the lenses in my old but still useable frames with the best deal. I stumbled across Lensabl! Their website was so easy to use and upload my prescription. Choose your options for your lenses and your ready to ship! In a few clicks I printed out a shipping label as I had a existing box but they will mail you one if you need it and was out the door. A few days later my favorite frames arrived with my updated lenses! Unboxing was fun! They ship it securely inside a fancy eye glass case and include a free cleaning kit. When I opened the case my favorite eye glasses were inside. I tried them on and perfect! It was like I could see again! They even shipped the old lenses back which I thought was pretty cool. Will definitely use them again for lens replacements! Best part I did it all online and didn't have to hassle with anyone at a store!
Glasses as delivered are not usable. One pair of glasses was delivered with a lens that had fallen out. The other pair the prescription was too high in the frame.
I can't believe I was able to get my bose frames with lenses so easily! The whole transaction was seamless.
The lenses are okay, but my glasses came back so warped and crooked I have to get them reshaped to fit my face.
I had frames I loved but scratched lenses. Had put them aside due to the high cost to replace the lenses - until I came upon Lensabl. Quick turnaround and I'm wearing them now and the lenses are terrific. Could not be happier with the entire process.
I love my new Bose sunglasses. Everyday, a week after their arrival, I marvel at how well they work. First of all, these Bose sunglasses stay put, and do not fall off my face the way the Rondo frames did. Second, these glasses look very good on my face (and I assume most others). Third, I need the farsighted correction of a bifocal lens, especially when driving—need the sunglasses for glare and the bifocal to read maps or notes on my lap; this use was enhanced by the gradation lens that go light at the bottom. I have an eye condition which has necessitated 4 operations, and need sunglasses outside. Sunglasses aren't a luxury for me, but a necessity. And these Soporano bifocals are simply better than expected!
Ordering was easy, the return of my glasses was so fast, and I love them! I used my favorite frames that I thought I would never be able to use again and Lensabl made it happen. Best of all, the price was less than I thought! Would order from Lensabl again in a heartbeat!
Lensabl returned my sun glasses with prescription lenses. The glasses came back clean and as they went out. There was some confusion with my order, but they were responsive and efficient in resolving it. Nice Job.
I ordered a pair of glasses on line (from someone else) and the prescription was wrong. I was able to send my glasses in and get the prescription corrected by lensabl. I am now able to use them. Thank you.
Frame and lenses are excellent. This might be my fault but I definitely misunderstood the priority ordering since you guys needed some time to prepare them. Definitely will come back though. Great product.
After my eye surgery, I could not use my old glasses, but the frames were still great... and you, Lensabl replaced my new glasses beautifully
Answer: I was not so lucky and have had a horrible experience withLensabl. After two months I'm still waiting for progressive lenses that cost over $600 and Neither my frames nor the lenses I ordered are back to me. Next time I will use a local eyewear store.
Answer: They falsely boosted about putting new lenses in existing frames (in a very short turn around like a week) not the 8 months it's been
Answer: Once your frames arrive at our lab, assuming you've provided all required Rx information, lens production is 4-7 business days on average before shipping
Answer: I purchased some really awesome vintage glasses with octagonal black plastic frames made in France, probably from the late 1960s or early 1970s. I was so excited to have them made into sunglasses. I took them to my local optical shop and was told, "I hope you didn't spend much on these because you wasted your money. No one will touch frames this old, because the plastic is so brittle it will just shatter." I was so disappointed. I tossed them in a drawer and forgot about them for a few months. Then I saw an ad for Lensabl online. I contacted them and asked if they could work with vintage frames, and the answer was "No problem!" I was nervous to send the frames in but figured I didn't have anything to lose. I just received the glasses back in the mail today (two weeks from when I mailed them in), and they are incredible! The frames were cleaned and straightened, and the new lenses are perfect. I love them so much. Thanks, Lensabl!
Answer: They clearly don't have the infrastructure set up to be in this business where each frame is a customer order. In cases like they they are not staffed with customer services that can be actually helpful which only result in wrongly made glasses. They broke my glasses and are not trying to it at all. I posted review on here before and then it just disappeared for some reason, I'm not sure if they are paying people to get rid of negative reviews.
Answer: Transitions take an upwards of 30 seconds to Transition. The weather conditions can impact the Transition time. Brighter and warmer outside conditions= transitions faster.
Answer: I am having the same experience. Took my money, lost my frames and have done nothing on refund nor damages. I filed with BBB as well. Why are they still in business is a surprise to me?How many more consumers do they need to harm before they are fined and/or shut down?
Answer: All prices are in USD ($) but we do ship to Canada as well :)
Answer: Yes all of our lenses are guaranteed or we will re-make them if any issues once you receive them back. Thanks!
