Lensabl has garnered a reputation for providing high-quality lenses and a convenient service for replacing lenses in existing frames, with many customers expressing satisfaction with the product quality and the speed of delivery. However, concerns have been raised regarding customer service responsiveness, particularly during issue resolution, as well as occasional discrepancies in prescription accuracy. While many customers appreciate the transparency and communication throughout the process, there are notable frustrations related to the handling of returns and remakes. Overall, Lensabl is viewed positively, though improvements in customer support could enhance the overall experience.

It took longer than I expected to receive glasses and when I did, I can't see as well as I did before. Not sure if reading prescription is off or progressive placement.
Fits great, Vision is even better than the ones from the optometrist.
10/10 would suggest
Had a groupon for my lens replacement, sent in my favorite frames, and voila! Easy, affordable, and just my style!
Got my prescription renewed with their online eye vision test ($25) and sent in my frames for lens replacement on 11/4/20, got them back 11/20/20. They were able to replace frames on a pair of lab goggles, which can be tricky! Overall I'm very satisfied with Lensabl!
Was impressed by the lens options available, the price, and the amount of fitting information collected when compared to other providers. Sent off a set of frames and received them around two weeks later. Lenses were great. No issues at all there, progressive setup for reading was dead on.
Problem was, they damaged my frames in the process. There are two pieces at the top where there's a small guide pin running between the sections sections that create the gap for the lens This was pushed apart on the left side and you can see where the guide pin is now off center so it is pointing diagonally, and pushes the two sections apart so there is now a large gap between them.
I consider this to be a major quality and process issue. I have sent off a support request, but that was last night so have not heard anything back yet. I assume they will ask me to return them, probably at my cost. Or just claim they were like that to begin with. But if that was the case, why didn't they contact me first with the issue so I could contact the company I bought the frames from? I didn't see this prior to sending them, so I am pretty sure this was their issue. I looks as though these are made to allow you to temporarily push the two sections apart for fitting the lens and they just didn't get them back together correctly.
Which makes this more egregious IMO, because I suspect whoever did this knew what they did. And rather than contact me and say, "We've got an issue," they just put them back in the box and sent them hoping I either wouldn't notice or would just let it go by. It's really disappointing that the overall product(the lenses) was compromised by what was a pretty avoidable service issue. I can't imagine a competent installer would not have noticed this. So it's an issue of competency, honesty, or possible both.
I was getting ready to do two more orders with them before I saw this, one for prescription sunglasses and one for readers on the basis of how the lenses turned out. I was that pleased. Now, depending on what support does, not so much. I may just have to go to the local small repair guy who from reviews evidently works magic with reviving mucked up online purchases. In which case I just eat his charge and move on.
I may still use them for the lens options, but it will depend on whether I can just have them make the lenses, not put them in the frames and have this local guy do the actual installation. Since it appears from the reviews he always does everything flawlessly.
So it's like this 2 points for the lenses, 0 for installation, 0 for service, given they obviously tried to sneak it past. I'd probably do 2.5 stars if I could specify portions but given my level of unhappiness at this time I'm grading downward.
Sent glasses in early September. 2 weeks later had to resubmit picture for proper fitting. Waited about a month with no update. Contacted Lensabl and was informed that they broke my frames. They would pay for a replacement. Great. Select replacement frames. Waited. The index value I wanted was out of stock with no information on when they would be back in stock. Selected a lower index. Lensabl refunded the difference. About 2 weeks later glasses ship out. Glasses are marked delivered, but no glasses. Contact Lensabl. Issues is brushed off as USPS issue and not their problem. Summary, it's been almost 3 months since I sent in my glasses. I have no glasses and am out $250+. You get what you paid for.
I'm finding my glasses very hard to adjust to. One thing that is really bothering me is how my frames came back damaged. You can tell the lens isn't set correctly in the frame, and the frame itself is warped from the lens not being placed properly. My frames used to have a nice snug tight fit around my face before I sent them to the lab, now they are loose and crooked on my face. What a waste of money and time
I got very excited about the product and sent in my prescription and photos. But there were delays in shipping that made me so concerned that I worried it was a scam. BUT the glasses finally did arrive, with correct prescription and the transitional lenses I paid for and they sound and work great! So alls well that ends well.
While I still haven't received back the pair of lenses that lacked polished and rolled edges (even though I paid for it) and had to send them back into the lab to be re-done and have been waiting over 3 weeks to get them back, another order came in with an error. I paid for blue light blocking and the lenses arrived with only the standard green reflective coating, not blue and green. Yes I have another pair of lenses that were done properly as a reference. I hope customer service does something to make this right other than just having me send back the faulty lenses to be replaced again this time or I'm going to give their competitors(of which there are many, and cheaper) a try. After spending over $800 with these guys I'd expect better attention to detail, customer service, quicker turn around- especially when it's a return fir an error, sense of urgency and some sort of compensation for the time and frustration this has caused me, a very loyal customer up to this point.
I've purchased replace lenses from Lensabl before and was very satisfied with the work. This time I decided on frames and lenses with progressive and transitions. The eyewear fit perfectly and the lenses work great. Very happy with my purchase service and especially happy the eyewear arrives 2days early! I will definitely purchase again. Highly recommend.
I postponed gettingnew glasses for so ling because of this pandemic. But this site made getting new lenses so easy. I only needed my prescription!
Worst experience ever in sales of product. Frames came back out of shape, edges course. Two months now no glasses can't get a refund and you have my 400 dollar frames. Will never again or recommend, AWFUL
Sent in my own frames and had Blue-blocking lenses put in. Service was quicker than I expected, easy to send in, lenses are perfect and frames were not damaged in any way. I would absolutely suggest trying Lensabl out and WILL use for other Rx glasses in the future!
Perfect quality and process. My only complaint is the rolled edges could've been grounded down much more since I have a VERY high prescription. They could've used the old lenses as a guide. This does not effect the quality, just the look from the side and my vanity. I have a small face, have tried kids glasses but the arms are not long enough. Most other online places do not have anything as small as what frames I already had so this was a perfect solution. The coating on my old lenses had started to peel off and become cloudy. 100% would recommend.
Easy to order but result not well done. Lenses stick out of frame. Should have been informed if they couldn't do it properly
Excellent work! The prescription and lens specifications matched perfect. Plus it was cheaper than buying a new pair. I'm so happy I get to keep my favorite glasses a little while longer!
Couldn't be happier with my purchase! A fraction of the cost for the best quality out there. Everything came shipped in a custom box with a case and cleaning solution. The whole experience was exceptional, from start to finish.
I love my new glasses and I love the ease of purchasing them!
Once my glasses finally came everything was perfect However; it took a while to receive my frames and my customer service experience was sub par. I would not order from here again and I wouldn't recommend this site/service to anyone else either.
Answer: I was not so lucky and have had a horrible experience withLensabl. After two months I'm still waiting for progressive lenses that cost over $600 and Neither my frames nor the lenses I ordered are back to me. Next time I will use a local eyewear store.
Answer: They falsely boosted about putting new lenses in existing frames (in a very short turn around like a week) not the 8 months it's been
Answer: Once your frames arrive at our lab, assuming you've provided all required Rx information, lens production is 4-7 business days on average before shipping
Answer: I purchased some really awesome vintage glasses with octagonal black plastic frames made in France, probably from the late 1960s or early 1970s. I was so excited to have them made into sunglasses. I took them to my local optical shop and was told, "I hope you didn't spend much on these because you wasted your money. No one will touch frames this old, because the plastic is so brittle it will just shatter." I was so disappointed. I tossed them in a drawer and forgot about them for a few months. Then I saw an ad for Lensabl online. I contacted them and asked if they could work with vintage frames, and the answer was "No problem!" I was nervous to send the frames in but figured I didn't have anything to lose. I just received the glasses back in the mail today (two weeks from when I mailed them in), and they are incredible! The frames were cleaned and straightened, and the new lenses are perfect. I love them so much. Thanks, Lensabl!
Answer: They clearly don't have the infrastructure set up to be in this business where each frame is a customer order. In cases like they they are not staffed with customer services that can be actually helpful which only result in wrongly made glasses. They broke my glasses and are not trying to it at all. I posted review on here before and then it just disappeared for some reason, I'm not sure if they are paying people to get rid of negative reviews.
Answer: Transitions take an upwards of 30 seconds to Transition. The weather conditions can impact the Transition time. Brighter and warmer outside conditions= transitions faster.
Answer: I am having the same experience. Took my money, lost my frames and have done nothing on refund nor damages. I filed with BBB as well. Why are they still in business is a surprise to me?How many more consumers do they need to harm before they are fined and/or shut down?
Answer: All prices are in USD ($) but we do ship to Canada as well :)
Answer: Yes all of our lenses are guaranteed or we will re-make them if any issues once you receive them back. Thanks!
