Lensabl has garnered a reputation for providing high-quality lenses and a convenient service for replacing lenses in existing frames, with many customers expressing satisfaction with the product quality and the speed of delivery. However, concerns have been raised regarding customer service responsiveness, particularly during issue resolution, as well as occasional discrepancies in prescription accuracy. While many customers appreciate the transparency and communication throughout the process, there are notable frustrations related to the handling of returns and remakes. Overall, Lensabl is viewed positively, though improvements in customer support could enhance the overall experience.

Sent in some Hugo Boss Frames In their original Hugo Case. Didn't get the case back. I only wear readers and hoped to get a progressive lens with no magnification on top so I could wear them all the time but they are the same +1.5 from top to bottom.
I'm a big Lensabl fan. The Brentwood Frame sun glasses are a little big for my head, but Palisades Frames fit perfectly. The progressive lenses in both are great.
I'm not a first time customer with Lensabl. I'd recommend them over any brick and mortar eyeglass place.
I had them put lenses in two pairs of frames I had. Stores that had previously done this for me were no longer offering the service. They want you to buy their frames but I really liked my old frames and had found some spares online I wanted to have as backups. The retail places don't want to take my money. Enter Lensable. Reasonable prices. Few week turnaround. It's a little worrying to do this through the mail but they did a good job. It would be nice if the website had a bit more explanation about the different coatings. If they had I probably would have spent more money but I went with the basic coating and polishing. They gave me cases and lens cleaning kits for both pairs. I'm very happy with the service.
I FINALLY received my frames with new lenses and I love them. The process to get them was horrible. It started in October and after having to follow up many times practically begging for an update, I finally received them in January. Excuse after excuse was given including breaking the frame, lenses not passing inspection etc. I even got an email for someone else's lenses where they had broken the frame. To add fuel to the fire, the email were addressed dear Optimum, which is my carrier, instead of my name. The final person ( after 3 different ones) followed through on what she said would happen and I received them shortly afterwards. I worked several years with a well known optical company and I know the challenges some frames and lenses can have. I would have liked to be told honestly that they couldn't do the work or at least been kept up to date on what was happening without having to constantly reach out.
I paid extra for blu light and can't really tell, other than that they are nice tho
Really didn't think the frames I had would be able to work since many places before had turned me down but WOW!
It took forever to get lenses and then they were wrong.
I order new lenses for my sunglasses on Nov 27th and I still don't have my glasses. It's Jan 15th. Totally unacceptable.
My lenses got scratched up badly. So all I wanted to do was send them back and have identical new lenses installed. As it turned out this was ridiculously easy. All the information was there, click-click-boom! A prepaid shipping label and now they are back in my hands and I can see again. Ordering shoes on Amazon is like having a root canal compared to ordering prescription eyeglasses on Lensable.
The process took a long time to complete and finally once I got my glasses I couldn't see through them. It was a complicated prescription that would have really needed to be done in person because the measurements were wrong, and since they were progressive I couldn't see through them. I had to go to LensCrafters to measure them and to know they didn't fit. No one called me before they were made to explain anything, ask questions or even advise this is not as easy as it sounds for this type of prescription. When I told them that they simply said they'll remake them and are these the right measurements now from Lenscrafters. If I have to go elsewhere to do measurements and go back and forth after not having seeing glasses for a month, it's not something they can fix. They said there are no refunds and even though I had bought contacts for $150 from them already and they could have at least offered credit towards contacts they just said no refunds, we'll remake them. After I emailed them that it won't work because I'm not there in person and I can't see through them without the proper in person measurements and I felt I pretty much had to "eat it" I didn't even get a response. So now I'm out of $227 for glasses I can't see through, it's taken a month already and I still have to pay Lenscrafters to get them done right. So unless you're a professional and do this for a living, don't waste your money. Service was awful on top of everything.
Have placed multiple orders to have new lens replaced in my purchased frames. The process provided is easy to follow and effortless. I have ordered both progressive and bi-focal lenses. Each time the lenses have been made perfectly. Usually produced and shipped quickly. Unfortunately, on this order my order stayed in a complete "waiting to ship" status for over a week? It did require me to reach out to customer service twice to request a follow-up. Reason for taking off one star. I do recommend the company for good quality replacement lens.
Great again! 3rd time I've used them in about 3 months. Pretty fast, inexpensive and the prescription is accurate.
I always have such a great experience with Lensabl. I send them vintage frames that I find in thrift stores along with my prescription and they always do such a great job replacing the lenses. I've also had some technical support issues while navigating their site, and their support team was fantastic in helping me get it figured out. 10/10 would recommend!
After purchasing frames from SLYK, they recommended Lensabl to replace lenses to my RX. I mailed them in. Then I received a call about the frame material being made of wood and there was danger. Resolved and glasses are perfect.
Man was this process EASY! Now that there are several PD apps on the market I was able to test my PD and order lenses for a pair of frames that are 7 years out of date. I wear bifocals now, and was unsure of what numbers I needed. Jason replied MUCH quicker than I had expected and told me exactly what to do so I could have my lenses crafted for single vision readers instead. Entered my info, printed my label, packaged my glasses in a box I had, dropped it in the mail and that was it. It DID take a little longer than expected, but I think that's mostly due to internal tracking issues. The process didn't appear update as the glasses went from arrived at lab straight to waiting to be shipped in 3 weeks. I also ordered a full pair of glasses for my daughter, and those were MUCH quicker to be received. She loves them, and they look great. I've also recommended Lensabl to a few friends, so I must like it.
I'm 2 months into this and still don't have wearable glasses. I followed Lensable instructions to a tee and also provided additional information and photos and my first set of lenses were not useable at all. The near vision was only clear while closing each eye and turning my head to look alongside my nose. The second try has my right lense improved and useable but the left lense with the same problem. I'll update this if they ever get it right.
The idea of sending off my sunglasses to get updated with my new prescription was great! Very happy with the pricing and the process. But once I put them on, wasn't sure how I felt. Some small things I can read with my regular glasses are difficult to read in the sunglasses, but it could just be due to the polarization of the lenses (its been a long time since I've used them so I can't remember if that's normal). The biggest issue is one of my lenses feels very loose. I can feel it moving around when cleaning it and I think it could pop out very easily with a little force. The other one is solid in place.
I am in love w/ these glasses! So happy to finally have prescription sunglasses and I can listen to whatever I want, whenever I want!
I had Lasik a few years ago. These sunglasses are my favorite pair from when I had a prescription. The top starts purple and fads to clear. These new lenses are EXACTLY the same color and gradient. Very happy!
Answer: I was not so lucky and have had a horrible experience withLensabl. After two months I'm still waiting for progressive lenses that cost over $600 and Neither my frames nor the lenses I ordered are back to me. Next time I will use a local eyewear store.
Answer: They falsely boosted about putting new lenses in existing frames (in a very short turn around like a week) not the 8 months it's been
Answer: Once your frames arrive at our lab, assuming you've provided all required Rx information, lens production is 4-7 business days on average before shipping
Answer: I purchased some really awesome vintage glasses with octagonal black plastic frames made in France, probably from the late 1960s or early 1970s. I was so excited to have them made into sunglasses. I took them to my local optical shop and was told, "I hope you didn't spend much on these because you wasted your money. No one will touch frames this old, because the plastic is so brittle it will just shatter." I was so disappointed. I tossed them in a drawer and forgot about them for a few months. Then I saw an ad for Lensabl online. I contacted them and asked if they could work with vintage frames, and the answer was "No problem!" I was nervous to send the frames in but figured I didn't have anything to lose. I just received the glasses back in the mail today (two weeks from when I mailed them in), and they are incredible! The frames were cleaned and straightened, and the new lenses are perfect. I love them so much. Thanks, Lensabl!
Answer: They clearly don't have the infrastructure set up to be in this business where each frame is a customer order. In cases like they they are not staffed with customer services that can be actually helpful which only result in wrongly made glasses. They broke my glasses and are not trying to it at all. I posted review on here before and then it just disappeared for some reason, I'm not sure if they are paying people to get rid of negative reviews.
Answer: Transitions take an upwards of 30 seconds to Transition. The weather conditions can impact the Transition time. Brighter and warmer outside conditions= transitions faster.
Answer: I am having the same experience. Took my money, lost my frames and have done nothing on refund nor damages. I filed with BBB as well. Why are they still in business is a surprise to me?How many more consumers do they need to harm before they are fined and/or shut down?
Answer: All prices are in USD ($) but we do ship to Canada as well :)
Answer: Yes all of our lenses are guaranteed or we will re-make them if any issues once you receive them back. Thanks!
