This was the worst experience of my life and I did it to myself, against my better judgement, all in the name of saving money. Sometimes it's worth spending more because as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. This was a nightmare, they have a million people involved and emails as a way to act as a buffer between you and an actual attorney. If you want one question answered it takes 3 days ( if that to get it call back). After this experience I think there are some industries that can not not sell services cheaply, at least for me it does not work. I ended up having to pay a real attorney, someone who I could actually speak with to find a resolution to my problem. Legal Zoom has successfully created a silly convoluted process around even getting one question answered. Something that would take 5 minutes ends up taking days, literally. This is a super cheap money grab...better off going to a small business attorney. I am so sorry I went this route, but lesson learned for sure! I would advise small business owners to pay a little more ( even f you can't really afford it) so you can get the quality service you deserve.

Terrible company, terrible process, terrible customer service. Don't use them. Don't trust them, don't give them your money. They filed my corp documents in December instead of January creating a tax implication in 2022 and making us loose the $800 tax break I would get for having incorporated in 2023. They wont refund my money. I have to re do everything myself or pay another company to do it when I already paid them. Just a terrible company.

Absolutely pathetic experience. I would give 0.1 stars if I could.
Been waiting 4 weeks with no communication. And after dozens of emails they finally tell me I need to send in additional information. But wait. I need to send another email to find out what that information is.
And then to top it off I received a welcome email (I had received the welcome email 4 weeks prior to that).

LLC was supposed to be created in 7-10 days. They didn't do anything. They needed more info, but nobody reached out to let me know. No emails. No phone calls. Nothing. Just left me hanging. Terrible Service. Can't trust this yahoo company.

They prey on the ignorant. I am new to starting my own LLC. They sold me products I don't need and they are insanely expensive. They signed me up for tax services, which I thought, great, might come in handy. It has been taking my business longer to get off the ground. I have been charged $159/month for the last few months. I don't need these services right now. I called to cancel and they said I couldn't get out of my annual subscription. I asked if I could pay an early cancellation fee. They said no. I have to pay for it for the entire year. I have never known any business that operates like this. I will never use them again.

They sold me QuickBooks essentials which said that it came with payroll for 55 a month then they never set up payroll or allowed access for me to set up. Then to get in contact with them you get put on a 3 week wait just to talk to someone. They finally called after 3 weeks and told me that payroll was actually extra and it would be 109 dollars a month. When I go to QuickBooks online they have a deal for 37 dollars a month which includes payroll and even have cheaper options then that. Then I also paid for legal advisory again you have to schedule a call 3 weeks in advance. Not sure how much help that is if you have an issue that needs resolved right away. They don't respond to emails either.
Terrible money skeme. Itd be different if they were actually helpful in setting all this up but given the time you have to wait to talk to anyone idk what your paying for you might as well do it yourself.

Usually they say you get what you're paid for but I guess I got that more. It's shady that when someone spends 4 to 600 or more out of their pocket to get an LLC done on what some have said is the best way I have found that it's not. Going through all of the paperwork and then calling when I had a question and being told I can't give you advice so I'm paying $600 to get no help? I do have to give them some credit they did refund me for the Alamara (whatever the name of that 3rd party extra is) the lady made me feel stupid for asking questions. Upon speaking with the last time I had a question it's not worth what you pay! I went to my state office and got things squared away with them in 30 minutes vs the hours of calls and time on hold for questions noone can help you with. When I spoke with someone I thought maybe it was me...another convo later I confirmed I'm not...get yourselves right...customer service needs retraining and attitude adjustents

I went to legal zoom so they could help me set up my LLC and make the process quick and painless, they processed everything without fully checking it, and the state kicked it back, it they took multiple calls and weeks to get everything they needed, which they did not catch the first time, they are overpriced and a very low value company, go somewhere else! Trust me!

I called LegalZoom to purchase their "Trademark Package" for $599.00 on 11/08/2022. The very first step of the package included a phone call after payment on November 10th 2022 that LegalZoom set with me from 5:05 P.M. EST to 5:20 P.M. EST with Anna (Appointment ID: *******). I waited for hours and no phone call from LegalZoom per their scheduled time per their email. I called in at a later time that day to cancel my package because they literally did not follow through on their scheduled phone call which was the very first step of many in their "Trademark Package." So, I have been waiting on my refund (7-10 days) and nothing has posted to my credit card. Yesterday 11/30/2022 I get a phone call that lasted about 38 seconds from LegalZoom and I told the lady that I was waiting on my refund and she said that she was going to process it and the phone call ended. Today (12/01/2022) I called LegalZoom because there was again no refund on my Discover Card and LegalZoom told me that the call that I received yesterday on 11/30/2022 that lasted for 38 seconds was an attorney and therefore was considered a consultation and my $599.00 would not be refunded. I explained to LegalZoom that the phone call was NOT a consultation and they hung up on me. I called LegalZoom back and asked them to please provide me with my filing documentation and other documents that were supposed to be filed and a recording of the phone call and they could not provide either. LegalZoom literally charged me $599.00, did not follow their said said timeline, their said process and did not / has not provided me with anything at all. This is the largest fraud and/or scam I have ever seen. I want a full refund of $599.00 immediately,

Legalzoom did not file trademark - claims it was a mistake on customer for requesting the wrong document and they no longer do those filings. Held onto money for almost a year without reaching out via email or to reach customer by phone. Terrible service.

I now have to get my lawyer involved because the customer service claimed to have cancelled it three times. This is the worst service I have never used and will never use again.

I have had legalzoom services for three years and for the first year what ever was discussed or said was done. But after the first year literally ever time any change was made to any legal documents or a new service was purchased the changes where not done or the amount that was charged was completely different or the wrong service was changed and I have had to get on multiple calls with them to correct the situation while they play pass the hot potato from department to department even sometimes having my call transferred back to the original department that I started the call with. I would warn anyone that is considering to use their services to just not do it.

YOU CANT CANCEL! They lock you into a registered agent scam that they know they can Legally get away with. They charge you $249 at random SEVERAL TIMES through out the year! For a "registered agent" THAT YOUR NOT EVEN USING! I can't cancel I have tried and they make it impossible to get ahold of anyone of find any option online to cancel.

I closed my business right after it started and HAVE NEVER NEEDED TO USE ANY OF THEIR SERVICES! Yet I have been charged probably a couple thousand now.

I have explained all of this to my bank and they give me provisional credit but they take it back after a month. I'm ready to hire a lawyer just to help me figure out how to escape this trap!

Worst decision i made they very unhelpful two different agents got an addittude qs if they where owners of the company and this lqst rep i del with sound high she said she didnt know several time what did i spend hundreds of $on?

Over a year ago I paid for my LLC with LegalZoom. The operator left off part of my LLC's name. I call back and I speak to a manager, a manager was not available I never received a call back from a manager I kept calling they told me that I only can get a call back from a manager. I called two weeks ago and the manager was supposed to call me back never received a call back the young lady stated that they tried to email me and they called but never left a voicemail. I never got an email or call. The young lady hung up in my face. I was told that I have to repay to get the name corrected.

If I could go back I would not use Legal Zoom. You can all your Secretary of State (I am in North Carolina) to create an LLC and they will help your through it all and charge $125. Legal Zoom charges you the same $125 but also add $79 and $99 in there for "Economy LLC" and "operating agreement". THIS IS NOT NECESSARY. Then, you secretly get charged a day or two later $249 for a registered agent! YOU
CAN BE YOUR OWN REGISTERED AGENT FOR FREE (or like super cheap)! Just make sure you google your states 'Secretary of State' website and call them directly. The only thing Legal Zoom does, it RIP YOU OFF QUCIK AND GIVE YOU A LCC NAME.

I established an LLC through them, and after finishing the process (much of which they don't even do) I realized they take a very inexpensive process and make it 10x more expensive than it needs to be and they try and sell you 1,000 things you don't need along the way under the guise of "protection". They are preying on the ignorance of their customers and charging them tons. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

Rude and unprofessional agents, not responsive to requests and not enough communication about order updates.

I went to search for the name I want to trademark, the cost at Legal Zoom? Starts at $199. The cost on other sites including the US patent office? $0! If they rip you off at the start, where else are they doing it? Hard pass for me.
