Kmart

I was watching the Rachel Ray show one morning and Sofia Vegara appeared sporting a killer red dress from her new clothing line at K-Mart. It was just the style and color I was looking for so I ordered it on line. As I live in Canada, I had it shipped to a friend in the US and she USP'd it to me at great expense to me (more than the actual cost of the dress). I was thrilled to receive it and although it was very cute, the fabric was flimsy and of very poor quality and the seams looked as though they were about to fall apart. I was so disappointed as I expected a lot more from a garment with a such a high profile celebrity stamp on it. There seems to be a quality control issue with this product and I was very surprised as the dress she wore looked of superior quality. It may have been a prototype and proved to be misleading to the consumer.

Although I should not have expected much from K-Mart, her name behind the product lead me to believe that I would be getting something more...

First lets discuss wal martians and thier sad staff. Wal-Mart: I smiled at the people greeter didnt greet me or anyone else. She stood there like a zombie looking straight! At Wal-Mart I see people moping around with frowns, yelling at their kids, and everyone looks depressed. In my experience, the difference in cleanliness between the two chains is dramatic, especially the bathrooms. I brought my son into the bathroom at Wal-Mart and it was so nasty

I can get in and out at Kmart without a hassle, the prices are similar. I would rather pay more at kmart and not deal with the horrible customers and staff at wal mart. Bought my freezer, pcs, exercise machine and many other items at wal mart. The pet food is cheaper and i get points toward future purchases. They both sell pizza in Spokane valley store. Kmart lil Caesars is great and made fresh, the service is 2nd to none. The wal mart pizza is disgusting

Sometimes you need things that are basic or to satisfy a short term need. Kmart.com stocks things that fit the bill. No muss, no fuss, no need to blow a big wad. Its for those of us that have a quickie mentality. Like Walmarts, its a good source for the type of junk that gets the job done on the fly. Go on the site, zip in and zip out. But keep in mind, you get what you pay for. If youre looking for something to grow old with, you probably wont find it here. Cest la vie.

This is a pretty good site. I've ordered things before and there were never any delivery problems or problems with my items. Everything ran smoothly and arrived on time.

Kmart through the years has been a company that in my opinion has already had it's day in the sun, terrible customer service and mediocre prices are all that is left. On any given day you will see 15 checkout lanes and 2 people working them, one person at customer service and one at the jewelry counter if you are lucky. Cutting so far back on employees that there is nothing left but a skeleton crew left. Leaving customers wandering around looking for someone to help them, eventually leaving that store and going somewhere else. My experience is that Kmart has slim pickings for the items I want, I rarely shop there anymore. It is a closer store but not worth the effort and frustration. If you are shopping for kids toys and diapers you can save money shopping at Kmart sometimes. It is a shot in the dark, they do have cheap shoes but you get what you pay for. Kmart used to have food that was good, and they cared about their customers. Now if you bother them with a question they are unable to answer basic questions, or they are unwilling to put any effort in at all. My last visit there was depressing, I stopped to ask someone about getting a fishing licence and I waited nearly 25 minutes at the counter and ended up leaving to get one somewhere else. I have had good shopping experiences at Kmart but that was 30 years ago but today they are a slow dying retail chain that IMHO needs to be put out of it's misery.

I liked going to Kmart before it left Canada and Target moved in to replace it but ended up leaving about 2 years later. I do go to Kmart whenever I go over to the US but I find it has more than it did previously at the Canadian locations and that seems to hold true for most stores that are based in the US and Canada.
I like the store, the people and some of the quality products it has whenever they go on sale so its an average store worth going to.
