Great experience. First time purchasing outside of harley davidson directly. Same item from harley davidson would have cost me an additional 1000 dollars for harley to put said item on bike. Harley Davidson parts person directly told me the JandP was a bad option for goods...it kind of pissed me off because I was told to get my pipes from JP from banished harley techs that now have their own shop. Couldn't be happier with my items.
I was discouraged to find that I could not just purchase a full carb from j&p, but since I am familiar with carbs I decided to just get a rebuild kit.
Was disappointed to find the rebuild kit did not include a new float or any diaphragm to replace old ones.
I do not hold this against j&p because the contents were listed and showed pictures, I, myself, failed to pay close attention before the purchase.
I guess it would be great to find more complete options to rebuild, or find full new carburetor, but over, I paid a good price, and got exactly what I paid for, with pretty good shipping time, I think 4 days
They have a good selection of parts. Shipping was fair time frame. So far JP has always got me parts and tools correct.

Bought a battery from JP cycles and received it without the battery terminal hardware. Called and got your representative to order them for me. He had to send a request to the battery company or whoever and they had to approve it before they would even ship it (two days for that). Meanwhile my motorcycle is sitting in pieces in my garage a week and a half before I even recieved the hardware, and low and behold it was the wrong hardware. So I had to go to many auto parts stores to track some down and thankfully found them. The gentleman I talk to on the phone was courteous and helpful but the process was not impressive to get this fixed.

I HAD DIFFICULTY FINDING THE SADDLE BAG HINGE I WANTED USING THE SEAR ENGINE. A LITTLE FRUSTRATING. I DID PAY FOR OVERNIGHT SHIPPING BUT MY PART DIDN'T COME IN FOR THREE DAYS.

The current lead time is listed at about 8-10 business days to receive the item. As for the material, I do believe that it is a synthetic leather material but I cant find a direct answer to that on Cobra's site so I am not 100% sure.
