I always like to look around on different websites when I wish to purchase something online. This website provided me with an amazing price for the material that I required for my academic studies..
I recently purchased a new laptop & needed to install the latest Microsoft Office onto it. I checked out many websites offering the software, however several friends insisted me to purchase through journeyed.com. As much as I trusted them, I wanted to read other reviews before handing them my hard earned money. Many consumers left less than startling reviews about the company, even going as far as calling them "liars" & claiming they were the "worst customer service they'd ever come across." So I decided to call them personally to understand the process of purchasing & an estimated time of arrival. They asked me to reply back to their email with a verification of eligibility for the software I was purchasing. Mind you, this was on a Wednesday around 10pm local time. Within one business day they granted me eligibility & shipped the package immediately. When I arrived home Monday evening, UPS was standing at my doorstep with said package.
If you contact them & give them the information, journeyed.com will come through with flying colors. I'd recommend them to anyone.
I purchased Microsoft Office 2007 that came with a free upgrade to the 2010 version. When I called to see about getting my upgrade the told me that the upgrade offer had expired even though I was never notified that the upgrade was available or that the offer had an expiration date. I have called customer service several times.
On one occasion I was on hold for 1 hour and 40 minutes before I had to hang up for an appointment I had to leave for. I have been able to reach them on 3 separate occasions, with an average wait time of 30 minutes. Each time I have asked the customer service representative (who just give me the "party line" and never does anything helpful) to transfer me to a supervisor. Each time I get the standard recording that they are very busy but someone will call you back within 24 hours. Even after I told the representative that I have never received a return call and to please try to get a supervisor to talk to me, and even though they say they will do it, they just transfer me into voice mail limbo. They NEVER call back, NEVER. If you want to do business with a company that actually cares, don't do business with JourneyEd.com
I can't express this enough DO NOT buy from them. EVER. I agree with other reviewers, you're better off going directly to the program manufacturers. JourneyEd does not communicate, to say they're slow to respond would indicate that at some point they actually do respond. You basically send off your money with a wish and a prayer it'll work out.
I don't understand how they are allowed to continue to do business. They have terrible practices and a terrible reputation. All it takes is a simple "this is the status of your order" email and they'd avoid so many complaints, it's not that hard, there are programs that generate them automatically. You'd think a company selling software would have access to one. Mainly they have a "you're getting it at a discount so shut the hell up" mentality and it's completely unacceptable.
In the days of Amazon we expect results, and if Farmer John down the street can tell you your CSA's delivery is tomorrow they have NO excuse, being the largest online academic retailer they claim to be.
DO NOT BUY FROM THEM, Boycott, complain, employ your credit card companies to be your advocate and get your money back. THEY MUST BE STOPPED!
You get what you pay for; the discounts aren't worth it. They've been telling me their "system is down" for a week now, and I can't get my download that I paid for.
BEWARE: A complete and utter mess and disaster. They have a sub contracted shipping arm that messes up all orders that are entered.
PROBLEM: You place the order, they send it to the shipper, and the shipper garbles the information. When you track the order with FedEx and find that its stuck due to incorrect information, you cannot go back to JourneyEd -- they are not the actual shipper. But contacting the actual shipper is only possible by them, and they can only email their shipper. Its nuts.
I waited 4 weeks and placed and re-placed orders, only to finally have Visa rip the whole order out by the root.
SCARY REALITY: They own academic superstore and almost all the other educational discount online stores, over ******* of them!
I recommend getting the same discount from the actual software publisher, such as Adobe, etc.; you get it directly, and almost immediately, same discount.
JOURNEYED.com has terrible customer service. They follow the "we're really sorry but we can't do anything further until the shipper addresses our correspondence" protocol. Its terrible.
Horrible company and liars to boot! I bought Adobe Dreamweaver through them at their great low price and when I got the paid receipt noticed that they charged me $10.01 sales tax! They do not get sales tax since they are not located in the state I am in or have a presence here. I also noticed they charged me $14 for shipping a DVD case! Really? I tried to call customer service to find out why they thought they were able to charge for sales tax and was put through to a Filipino customer service agent who knows NOTHING about American tax laws!
As I tried to explain to her that they can't charge sales tax she just argued that they do and that is that! I hate companies that outsource! I filed a complaint with the BBB and the company first said I was not charged the sales tax so I gave them the proof, then they tried to say they have given me a refund and tried to make it right which is a utter LIE! I have never received an email from them nor was my credit card refunded. They are cheats and I will not do business with them again.
I called this place three times today and once on yesterday and with each callback, I was given wrong information and they would not stay on the line with me to complete anything I was told. I explained I was trying to purchase an office program and the first person directed me to where I could find them and asked was there anything else, I asked that he stay on the line while I looked and he would not. I called again and asked what is the best product for me to get and I was told the Microsoft office is better for me than the Office 365, I asked if he'd stay on the line and he would not. My third call was to advise that there were two Microsoft office programs, Home 2019 and Professional 2019 and I needed to ensure that I got he correct product and I was told to get the Office professional Plus so I typed in professional plus and came up with one software program Professional plus 2019 and one calculator and proceeded to check out. I was told I didn't need to create an account and I wouldn't be charged taxes. I was sent Professional Plus 2016 and charged taxes. I called and left two messages and get an email back saying I ordered 2016 so I sent a screen shot showing 2016 is not even an option on the screen and then I received an email stating I was not charged taxes. I asked both people emailing me to please get me a manager and they just kept responding stating I got what I ordered and I wasn't charged taxes. Finally I got an email stating they are closed all managers are gone and trying using the chat tomorrow. I had actually been trying to use the chat option all day and it never worked so that is why I ended up calling in the first place. Now I am stuck with no way for get this program on my laptop, I have a program for Windows 2016 which I don't have and I'm out $32.01. I don't understand how a company that works with so many schools could have such horrible agents working and just not care enough to help a customer when a mistake has been made. I would like the correct program I ordered and the taxes credited if I was not supposed to charged them
JourneyEd's customer service is horrendous. There are major gaping holes in their standard operating procedures and someone higher up in their corporate office needs to know about it. They shipped me the MAC version of a product when I ordered the Windows version and then they had the audacity to tell me I needed to call Adobe and get a denial letter(when the product wasn't even open), then call them back and get an RMA number and pay to ship it back. HAHAHAA that's too rich. I finally got them to refund half of what I paid on the shipping in exchange for them expediting the correct product out to me. It arrived in their warehouse on 11/16/2011 and was signed for by Dush. Then when I called on the 17th to confirm they had expedited the product, and they said they hadn't received the package back. Only after I gave them my return tracking did they acknowledge that they had indeed received it. Again, I was told it would be expedited. Today I call again to confirm... still has not been shipped. Unbelievable. I'm not just dishing out $350 that often these days, so when I do; I expect the company I'm dealing with the be competent and efficient. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone if my life depended on it!
I was quite stunned that I was able to save over $400 on CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6. The only thing I was required to provide was the academic proof that was requested by this website.
JourneyEd and AcademicSuperstore are completely devoid of service or support. They have dropped to a low of scamming their customers for revenue. I ordered Photoshop from JourneyEd on Jan 18th, 2014 so my daughter could work on a school project but the box set never arrived within the stated time period. I called and they informed me that it was backordered and they could not provide me an availability date. I ask if it would be possible to get a download (my mistake) and they sent me a link via email. The link ran for a while then failed with a partial download "Photoshop_13_LS16. Zip. Partial". I called and was told that they were having trouble with the company who was providing this service for them and I should try again latter. I tried many times then contacted them to cancel my order as I needed to get the software without delay. Then on Feb 3rd I went to AcademicSuperstore to place another order and much to my dismay I received the very same link, which not surprisingly failed again at downloading the product. I then contacted both sites letting them know that they were NOT able to provide me the product and I needed to cancel the orders. At this time we needed to get Photoshop quickly as a lot of time had passed with no progress on her project. I placed the order with NewEgg who promptly sent me a working link with which we received the product quickly and even at a lower cost ($321.99 vs $348.99). Today after numerous emails and phone calls to their customer support center I have yet to receive a refund for the software which they NEVER provided. I would strongly recommend NOT placing ANY orders with these companies.
Awesome prices and good customer service!... recommending to friends!
Answer: You're now out of luck with JourneyEd. Try to work with the software company directly to be able to download. HOWEVER, in my case, Microsoft stated the JourneyEd license was fraudulent and not valid.
Answer: Is there anyone who knows how to deal with this situation? I got the product from JourenyEd and soon later I sent it back for refund. The package arrived back to JourneyEd on July 15,2011, and a week after I sent them email to ask them the process since I didn't hear from them, then they said I need to have a denial letter from Adobe and so on. So finally they said the refund was processing a month later, but after waiting for a week, I see nothing in my account so I contacted them again. And they tell me the refunded me on July 15th already and there's nothing they can help. So I asked them their account number and the amount they sent so I can have some details to communicate with my paypal account (as what JourneyEd asked me to), but they just kept replying me saying that there's nothing they can do. Anyone has the same experience? Is there anyone knows how to deal with this? The product coasted me around $500 which is a huge amount... I am really frustrated and really need help!
