I was a member of the Glam program for a few years, on and off. Some of the products you will receive are good. Then the shipments went up to $17 in 2025. You will get maybe 4 small trial samples, plus the bag. That is overpriced, in my opinion. When I joined a second time in June, I specifically said I wanted every other month. I was not supposed to receive shipment until August. I put that on profile. Strangly it was changed. I did not change it. They did not tell me beforehand when they were taking out money. The shipment has not been sent out, but I still can't cancel. I talked to a BOT to explain problem. It said customer service will get back to me. However, I expect foreign help, and no refund. I cancelled account. It is not worth it.
I've asked 3 times for them to send my small order, and I still have not received it. Now I haven't received my box for April and its now May. You cannot speak to a human which is very frustrating. My daughter has not gotten her box for April either. So, beware that you may not always get the items you pay for.
I left upset years ago because I got tired of seeing men in makeup on my counters. I don't want to explain that to my children right now. Stop pushing agendas. The free bag you just tried to charge me for is a scam. It's false advertising. As well as people shouldn't have to go fill out a form to not have their info shared. You should protect your customers from spam. This company disgusts me.
Back when Boxycharm was Boxycharm alone, it was awesome. The best beauty deal going.
But lately, and especially now after Ipsy took over I've gotten products expired more than a year (received Grown Alchemist facial scrub exp in 2023 that was opened (the GA co confirmed there's supposed to be a silver seal) AND there was a black hair under the flip cap lid!?
Over the past several months I've also received other expired products not to mention products missing from the order.
Points that are supposed to be awarded to my account for posting reviews haven't shown up.
Support is a mess.
It's great to get "close to expiry" products at 80% off, I'm cool with that. But not opened, used, hair on it products, that's disgusting and disappointing.
There are just too many other beauty boxes that don't do that to us for me to keep Ipsy.
I joined back up for Ipsy Glam Bag. The price is now a total of $7 more per month and the items were pathetic! I wound up canceling after 2 bags. What a shame that something that I was once so good has gotten disgraceful. A big waste of money!
Be very careful when you sign up for Ipsy. I signed up 9 years ago. I thought that was enough. I called to cancel in July because my renewal came up in September. When I got my credit card statement they charged me another year. I spoke with my credit card company (American Express) there was nothing they could do. Ipsy is very sneaky how they don't allow you to cancel easily. Beware.
I set this annual subscription for my step daughter when she was in middle school. She is an adult now. I have tried to cancel this subscription every year and there's no way to reach anyone by phone. If you can't log into your account there is no way to cancel the account. I have disputed this with my credit card every year and finally I just had to cancel my credit. This company is a fraud. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE BILLED FOR LIFE. RIDICULOUS!
They have charged me 3 times to my account, and keep saying they will send me a replacement, and that the replacement has gone out, but it never arrives.
I recently reactivated my subscription to give them another chance. I boyices a few of my boxy items were small when they were supposed to be full sized. When I checked the photos I realized some were the same size I would get in the glambag. I emailed back and forth, sent pictures as requested and eventually they decided to give me 100 points which still requires another purchase. It is a SCAM? They know the sizes of their products and the size of what they sent me so having me to gio back and forth was a farce. Service and the lie are why I'm canceling. The products were great but not worth getting them through ipsy.
The ipsy bag is a joke! Items are tiny sizes you get from free as samples not something one should have to pay for! The value is just not there. The products I received didn't match me or my profile. All items were very similar and would only provide a couple of uses per product /sample. I also had issues later on with customer service lying to me about items from their "shop" being shipped. It was such a horrible experience. I cannot recommend and have canceled my subscription.
I deleted my account 4 years ago. I got a notification that my password was compromised. So I thought I would just log in and delete my billing info just in case. HOWEVER, once I logged in I got an immediate notice that they had billed me for the next month cycle. When I tried to cancel it they said they couldn't do that. WHY NOT? I didn't even select anything to purchase, how are you charging me for something I didn't even ask for!?
What's more, they hide your billing information from you now. You can't delete your card once it's entered in.
Whats even MORE: I had to report this as a fraudulent charge to my bank and freeze my card because even though I canceled my membership, the account continued to say that it was ACTIVE after "canceling" it. So it would have kept repeating charges monthly.
There's literally NO WAY TO CANCEL. DO NOT PUT YOUR CARD INFO ON THIS SITE.
I have never wanted a ion box but somehow they said I order it but didn't pay for it so now I don't get either box or bag this bag isn't worth the money and it got worse when the put the ipsy and boxy charm together
I've been a member of Boxycharm since 2016 and wasn't surprised when they partnered or merged with Ipsy. After the Ipsy price hike and less for more shift such as small sized one-off come and go brands I canceled and stuck with the monthly full size Boxycharm. I began to notice things changing about 6 months ago. First, they started letting us choose 3 items (which I love!) but they began sending things I didn't choose. Often. Just weird. I complained about it but nothing happened, nothing changed. So I made a public review of the wrong product they sent hoping someone, anyone, would make the selections we choose be the ones that actually come. Well, I'm guessing someone saw it because this month I did not receive my email to build my box. I logged in to check because it's time to pick the selections and it showed my card payment had declined. No email, no alert, no nothing. So I "updated" my payment method (which hadn't changed) and yet it went through so I'm assuming Ipsy saw my review, got pissed and messed with my account? Because my card hasn't changed, it was as though they just declined the payment. I re-entered the payment and it went through just fine. If that really happened, that's sociopath stuff. I was just trying to get some help to get the products I had selected and my account gets messed with? Really?
I am so sorry that I started with this company, I have been trying to cancel a subscription for months. I lost access to my original email so now l get the "bot" to answer questions. This is the worst company ever!
Got my first box today and my eyeshadow cheek blush was all crushed broken and powder all over place which is ridiculous how they would even pack that.
Woke up to a notification from my bank this morning - it was right there on my phone too. As if Ipsy's $13.99 price hike was bad enough but now they wanna charge MORE for what is seemingly less? Honestly, it isn't worth it. I loved Ipsy when I first subscribed because all of the products were new and I had never heard of any of the brands, and plus, it was makeup. It was like opening a Christmas gift each month but now I'm not even excited. If anything, they send too much. I can't even use some of the products because of my sensitive skin. And what's with all of the tiny mascaras? They all seem cheap and I used to get like two of them in one bag. The product samples used to be better! Now it's so sad because it feels like they just steal your money. At least I'll be receiving my refund in 5-7 business days. Great! I hope my bank doesn't charge me an overdraft fee.
This business was absolutely horrible, it started out great but my daughter didnt once get a product she wanted but products she said she never wanted, I couldnt handle the monthly cost and i cancelled it, i got money pulled out of my acccount from ipsy after i had cancelled it, so i had my daughter go in and cancell it on her end. I ending up having to cancell again and they are repeatedly taking money from my account and now i have to get a new card, do not get ipsy, it is a scam literally.
Shop 'sale prices' are an outright lie. I purchased something for $50 which was supposedly reduced from $100. Minutes later found the item for $39 (regular price). So disappointing!
This company is horrible. I ordered the Pat mcgrath icon box and my 2-3items came in used/bad. When my replacements came in, one item (Huda cheeky blush) was still twisted to the top and fell out as soon as I opened it (again). My second replacement, same thing. When they said they would send another replacement that was a different brand, I told them not to send me from their cheap line that they owned (complex culture) because it is not a comparable item to the Huda blush.
Well they don't listen for anything bc they sent me the $2 cheap blush instead of the $30 blush I ordered (that they kept sending to me used/bad). This is clearly bait and switch from a higher end brand to a cheap knock off. Complex culture items are pure trash and anytime someone has issues with the higher end items they pay for, Ipsy subs them with this cheap horrible garbage.
Customer service is useless. They don't care about customers or keeping business. I will be disputing the whole charge.

Answer: OK well it depends where you live because here in Canada it is $20ish dollars but if you live in the U.S. A then ya it's worth it. The products are really high quality and I havent had any bad products yet. But for me to live in Canada and pay almost $20 dollars, it's kind of pricey. So it really depends on you, where you live and your preferences. Hope this helped

Answer: Rosi, I have been a subscriber for several months. They send samples of many different brands but not Lime Crime. Here are some of the brands: City Color, trestique, NYX, Luxie brushes, Pacifica, star looks, Bella Pierre, Dermelect, be a bombshell, dls, hey honey, Marc Anthony, Eva nyc, MOR hand creme, Clarks botanicals, Avance, epice, belif creme, REN creme, and peek, and Trust Fund. During the ten months I have been a subscriber, I have only received a handful of high end makeup samples: the Balm, tarte, and smashbox. Some people love ipsy, but my experience has shown me that a lot of times they send me products that I don't like or ones that don't match my "beauty profile". So I will probably cancel soon. The products are not counterfeit, though. If I were you, I would not subscribe to ipsy. Hope that helps! -Heather
