I get nothing but fees added on because the customer service is horrible. I had just gotten it installed and made a few errors and each time they charged me the lock out fee. I explained what happened and still. I was on hold numerous times for over 45 min. Missed my appointments twice. Car would not start it would ask to blow so I did and then it would say blowing and turn off. It should say sampling and passed. This is going on now for awhile/ and no help. You have to blow 4 to 5 times to get it finally passed and not just say blowing. Also it goes off a lot in short drive a and long drives. Almost got into 2 car accidents. And I feel out of breath. I get I got myself into this but I still deserve the help and not get robbed of fees. The device itself is huge. There are many other companies with less fees and smaller device. I am changing my devise and I am afraid to ask what they will charge to uninstall. 1,000 maybe. Never in my life have I encountered this service. I am a hotel manager if I sis this I would be fired. Thank you hope this helps others not make the mistake.
This device is the dumbest ever invented it drains your battery and then you have to jump or charge the battery and then they violate you for $80! $#*!s!
This is the worst company ever to exist.
For starters you have to go thru the WHOLE menu to speak with a live agent. The live agents are clueless to any of your compliance information, even when they ask for your court ordered information. Some of the live agents give you conflicting information about your removal date and removal procedures.
For so many entities to be connected, they don't connect. They charge you fees that nobody went over with you about.
They need to have a better device to work with regarding the plastic mouth piece... either provide a mounting device for the unit or a screw in piece. Its very risky to be driving and the mouth piece falls off and you have to find it.
I pray I never be in this situation to have to use this outfit, because it will be a ABSOLUTE NO!
Lastly this company charges ridiculous prices compared to other gigs. This is like the Waldorf Astoria on Interlock Ignition companies.
Go with another company, so you won't need a frustration counselor behind dealing with them!
This is by far the most terrible customer service i have ever experienced. They require you to service the devices every 30 days or so but all the service centers in my area have been closed for the past 5 days due to inclement weather. I called yesterday and was on the line for over and hour and the rep told me they had extended my service due date. I went out to the car later that day and saw that it had not been extended. I called again, was on the phone for well over an hour again and was told be a supervisor that it would be extended. I woke up this morning and went out to the car and it was still not extended. I have now been on the phone with customer service for over an hour. They are telling me that my only option is to have the vehicle towed to a service center because they are unable to connect with the device. Well... i cant have it towed to a service center because they are not open and will not be open anytime soon due to the weather. So i am now without a vehicle. The customer rep that i spoke with said that it was "my decision" to wait until the last minute and miss the due date, but i the service centers have been closed for 5 days so not sure how that is my problem. I would NEVER recommend using this company. It has been an absolute NIGHTMARE.
The first thing that surprised me about the organization was how archaic the technology is. It looks like something from 1985, but yet it's supposed to be some thing that officially reports to the court. Also, as many have also referenced these people have terrible customer service, and will give you fake violations just to get your money. Trust me. I only went with this place because of a so-called discount I got with my attorney, but I wish to God I would've just pay more money and went with somebody else because this place is awful. Awful awful. Imagine working hard and making sure you do everything right and they still pull you up on fake violations and they say well you have to pay to get it fixed even though it wasn't your fault. You pay insurance as part of your monthly lease but somehow insurance doesn't cover faulty equipment so you have to pay for it all they want is your money they have it set up in their system for the thing to show a violation every other week or so that you can come in and give them extra pay on top of what you're already paying for the device. Do not do not! Do not to go with them unless you like headaches, stress and being ripped off
Don't use this service. Their equipment malfunctions and they take zero responsibility for helping you resolve any issue. Make sure that you use SMART START if you have to use a service like this. PLEASE HEED MY WARNING.

My car got into an accident and was totaled. I had a new car to put the device in 2 weeks prior to my next calibration due date. They kept telling me I had to wait for the claims department to contact me before I could schedule the new installation. As my Calibration deadline drew closer I called them up everyday to see why I hadn't been contacted, and to make sure I didn't get reported to a violation. At first they introduced me to break State law to avoid a compliance issue, then I was told it was taken care of and the wouldn't accidentally tell the State I wasn't compliant. Everything I was told by everyone I talked to was complete BS. The never made my new installation appointment before my calibration date, then falsely reported me to my States DMV to a violation. My removal date was in two weeks, now my license is suspended and I am required to have the device for another year thanks to the complete incompetence of Intoxalok.
Due to a state computer glitch, I had to reinstall my device, this time I opted for Intoxalock over Smart Start strictly because they had a closer service center. HORRIBLE customer service, they add fees for everything, their equipment is shoddy and even the service center that removed my device three weeks later said the same thing. Paid extra fees to remove and reinstall with Smart Start. Avoid Intoxilock at all costs!
They withdrew money from my account when it was not authorized. Called and was told there was nothing that way could do. Do not set up automatic payments with them!

The location I signed up with closed down and I had to drive to a different city, and that location was also CLOSED! INTOXALOCK DEVICE, drains car batteries, destroyed my cars electrical system, company has so many hidden fees, and tried to charge me over $800 for 4 month usage. Another company, $200 more would have paid for the whole year. Their company in ILLINOIS was busted for COMMERCE and COMMERCIAL FRAUD. Go figure. You'll also see that they have a lot of LAW SUITS against them. They don't back up their product because when it comes to paying damages their devise done to the car, they won't pay. Customer service is only good when you are paying and setting up your device. You'll never speak to a human besides that ever again. My device was to be taken out in October 2023 and it's not half way through December 2023. They are still taking my money biweekly, still making me calibrate the device. Still can't get ahold of a human. I have put in multiple device removal requests. I have called customer service to deal with a robot. I have called the state, my lawyer and even the judge to be told "call customer service". Since my device was installed, my lights go on at random times. I'm an asthmatic and I have almost died while driving multiple times breathing 3 or 4 times in a row into the machine because "breathe harder next time". You can't auto start your vehicle or be away from it in winter so you'll freeze until your car warms up and you can take off. I highly do not recommend this company or this device.

Intoxalock is the WORST company I have EVER IN MY ENTIRE LIFE had to deal with. If you have to have an interlock device in your car go anywhere but here. Their customer service is almost impossible to get a hold of and then when you do you have to call with the same request 3-4 times before getting what you need. I had a judge wanting to put me in jail because I could not provide her with the reports from Intoxalock. What judge is going to believe they wont give them to you. I had to escalate almost all of my calls to a Supervisor and even then still had to call back with multiple requests. I was billed for lockouts while my car was reportedly at the service center and it was a nightmare getting the charges credited. These devices are required by law and it should be required that we are able to access the information we need more easily. I have the app but you cannot request reports that way. Because each report costs 50.00. Fees they do not tell you about. This whole system just wants money. They do not care if I violate my probation due to their carelessness and stupidity. I am beside myself with how poorly they are allowed to run their company and get away with it.
