We are not tech-savvy at all, but your professional customer assistants that we contacted were especially helpful to us: they were unfailingly patient, fully explained what we needed to know, and enabled my husband and me (80 years old!) to have several sets of various sized films digitized. Seeing my now-deceased parents through the years brought tears to my eyes and seeing our newborn twin babies (who are now 50+) is truly wonderful.

I had a great experience with iMemories. I would just give the heads up that if your videos have any mold on them, iMemories can't convert them & they will be shipped back to you. This makes sense, however I didn't realize how many of my videos this included unfortunately! I would love to find a reliable company that could remove the mold for me, I wish iMemories had this service as well! Overall, I 100% recommend this service.

The process was so quick and easy. They send you a box that includes bags and packing bubbles and return label. You just box up everything and send it off. You can log in to get updates, but you are also emailed of progress once digitized you can share the website for friends and family to watch at their convenience. You get a free 30 days trial period for this function. Then you can do a monthly or yearly subscription or just download/ copy yourself and forget the subscription.

Working with iMemories was so easy. They sent a pre-labeled box with all the packing materials to send in my home videos. Once they received them, the turnaround time was fairly quick. All my videos were uploaded on an easy to use app. My whole family is able to view them on the app as well. It's amazing. I highly recommend.
I sent 17 VHS tapes to be converted and was charged for converting 17.
However only 11 of the tapes were converted. The others couldn't be converted by you.
I looked at my CC statement and couldn't see where I was refunded for the tapes that were not converted. Customer service later refunded me.
A few years ago I sent a large (1,000+) order of slides to be digitized. Everything went very well, but the order took about 3 weeks to process.
This current order was just a few negatives and an 8mm film from over 60 years ago. I was told this order would take up to 2 weeks, but it was ready in 3-4 days! Access to the images is easy, and I am more than satisfied.

The slides I sent in were all 50 to 65 years, so maybe that had something to do with the fact that once they were all digitized, the end result was very bright and faded pictures. Almost no detail on many of the slides remained. Also, it would appear that the slides were not even cleaned of dust and hair particles. A little disappointed with the finished product.

IMemories specializes in creating a digital copy of old home movie films, videotapes, photos, slides, and negatives so they can be viewed again with today's technology. When we do the digital conversion for photos, slides and negatives they are dry cleaned (no chemicals), scanned through dust filters and put through a color correction process to help the colors look natural. We can not however correct images that are over/under exposed or have embedded dust and debris. That would be more of a restoration service, which is outside of the digital conversion work we do. We certainly understand you want the best quality capture of your memories. Our team will get the best capture possible based on the condition of the originals. The digitized memories I received were wonderful to receive and will be cherished. However, I sent 5 video tapes, and clearly marked 3 of them that I wasn't even sure if the tapes were blank, had recordings of TV shows or what. I expected them to quickly review and let me know. They did review them, and charged extra for that quick review, but then still charged me for the complete digitization, though nothing was done. I paid for 5 videos to be digitized. Two were successful. Two were not able to be processed at all, but they still charged me full price. The last one should not have been processed, as it was just recordings of TV shows my children apparently recorded. During their review (which they charged separate for), this should have resulted in no attempt at all to process. So for the full price payment of 5 videos, plus the extra charge for reviewing 3 tapes prior to processing, I received 2 videotapes processed. So not happy and not a good value for the money.
Hi Brigitte, Thanks for your feedback. Your order did contain five videotapes. We did a blank tape check, which is $0.99 per tape, and the ones checked all had video footage on them. The digital conversion was done on all five tapes and four videos were uploaded to your account. There was one tape that did not contain any home video. It was all copyrighted recorded TV that by law we can not upload to your account. Since there is an extensive amount of work done with the digital conversion, we do not automatically refund for tapes that have video we can not upload to your account. It was really fun to watch my kids who are close to 40 when they were elementary school age. I really liked that they took care and producing the videos that I needed. There was one they couldn't do because of the music that was in it which made me sad because I wasn't trying to monetize the videos, and at the time that they were made, nobody was aware of that there would be a problem. Other than that they made sure I got my originals back. Every thing happened in a timely fashion
