I've been scheduled for collection of returned furniture 3 times today. To ensure they would come, we phone again to check. However, it was replied that we were given wrong information and the collection order has NEVER been placed. I was shocked that such a famous company has repeated exhibited very unprofessional customer service and never care about the customer experience of their customers. How do I suppose to re-visit the store for purchase again? Actually the customer service should deserve no star.
Called them 4 times this morning and got hung up on every time by a robot. Talked to a human 1 time who transferred me and I got hung up on. The website doesn't let you make a post package email unless you have part number and case number area of the email filled out. They dont call you back when they drop your call. You do however have the option to cancel through the email packages but if you decide that path shipping will not be refunded. So, my package was lost on the shopping path, never even made it to my state. You going to punish me now? Terrible support.
One of my favorites- decorating on a budget! Our family room is comprised solely of Ikea products, 100% Ikea and we receive more compliments on it then any of our rooms in previous houses we've owned. Chalk it up to the color coordination and excellent designers that Ikea has. Everything Ikea sells just looks good!
Ordered two chest of drawers. Charged my account but never heard a word from them. Called and found out the order was cancelled cause the items were not available. I order quite a bit online and normally not charged until the item is processed for delivery. Why did IKEA charge my credit card for items that are not available? Now have to wait and see if I will receive a refund.
There's a reason why Amazon is winning this online race. The lack of effort by sites like Ikea.com is why. If ikea wishes to remain strictly brick and mortar, just claim it and leave online shopping to those who wish to tackle it.
The site is lazy, clunky and I can NEVER EVER log onto my account, no matter what I do. One spends hours shopping and picking items listed as available only for half the items to be knocked out the E-cart because the item is not actually available.
The customer service SUCKS, we're talking even for bot service.
They need to get their act together or leave the online market.
The website seems to look good, they even tell you if items are in stock in each location. The problem is this, when you actually drive to the location they then tell "we don't keep it here, it is our off site warehouse" which has an additional charge and you need to wait days to get it. I get they are Swedish and don't understand English, but "in stock" means at the actual location. Wasted my day driving there for nothing, I went to one of their competitors instead.
I tried to return an item I bought 3 weeks ago with the receipt. The item was brand new and clean and unused. I had removed the price tag. They claim that a removed price tag is a "modification" of their product. What?! Seriously?!
The Manager and employees, if they searched their soul know that they were doing the wrong thing. However, they all chose to try to get an extra $55 out of a loyal, now former, customer. It is this shortsightedness that will limit their careers and their company's success. Trying to steal from people is never good business in the long run.
A well-known store, and I`d like to add some good emotions to it too. Had numerous purchases here, and it never lets you down -always good pricing and decent quality for the price. Additionally these are everywhere, any country. Nice!
I cannot have worse words for a store. I purchased dressers, TV stands, and more and half of it fell apart within 3 months. The wood is made of crap and i can't even begin to say how bad their service is.
They delivered me a broken sofa which is not possible to assemble and they told me that earliest day they can pick up this garbage is in 5 days and I have to live with it in the middle of my living room until then.
Absolutely shocking for a company this size - indicating sheer incompetence at senior management level! Have tried to resolve issues by Facebook (have never received a single response), email (no response), live chat (never answer after 30 mins leading to 'chat ended') and no answer on phone having held for 30mins during non peak times. Simply does not exist. If management does not grab hold of these issues urgently another giant will fall. I will not be shopping here again it simply is not worth the hassle! Especially now that the products are made in China (say no more!) but prices have gone up. Overpriced you-know-what, totally ripping customers off and then with non-existent means of resolution/customer service. Doesn't get much worse than that, I don't think.
Generally the products are ok, but point of display info, particularly for modular stuff is poor. Instructions often poor. Lennart drawer cabinet fixings are totally innapropriate, being little plastic grommets that break when pushed in and I know they will not stay intact for long. I had to drill and use self tappers at several points on each drawer. Customer service insisted on calling me mate, even when I suggested he could use my real name or nothing at all
I ordered live plants online and pick it up at Click and Collect at Bloomington store. To my dismay and frustrations, I got these damaged live plants! They are garbage! I tried returning it to the customer service while I am still there but they won't accept it because of the stupid IKEA policy! It can't be returned just because it is live plants. Heck, who would want these plants to begin with. If you have that kind of policy, at least give us decent plants!
This store rocks the market for home decor and even great gifts. Go during a weekday, when it is less crowded. Great for ideas on how to organize a space, or keep it clean and streamlined. Excellent bedding supplies, pillows, covers. Great desk tops and you pick the style of legs, some desks can be a dinning table too. Really good value. I bought many nice cooking pots and oven ready clay serving dishes. Love them. They go from oven to the table and may your meal look awesome.
I temporarily lived in Sweden, and this Swedish company should be ashamed of themselves by marring the image of that country with their crappy customer service and bringing nothing but dishonor. First, they'll fail the promise they make you. Then they'll get their asinine third-party delivery service to leave you waiting an entire day at home, only to call you the day after about the missed delivery, huh. Lastly, they'll try to wiggle away with not refunding you a service fee for providing partially-done service, like how you'd pay an electrician or plumber to drive out to your house, look around, but not fix what needs to be fixed. The logic.
Add to it the fact that their general service line is always busy with no-waiting and their very NOT customer-first attitude, you have nothing but one of the worst company to buy from here.
My experience: Bought a shelf unit, the only one they had to verify fit and color. Spoke with the service desk and they explained the units could be purchased online. Spent a week trying to purchase online at the Draper store. The only way I could make the purchase is to have it delivered. Opened the first box purchased in store and found 5 pieces missing. Called support to see if they could send the missing pieces and they could find no inventory at Draper. Took it back to the store as directed by the phone support but since after waiting 30 minutes and moving two persons up in line from 18 to 16, I gave up. If I new now before I started this project I would have just bid a contractor... It would like have cost me more but it would have been worth it. My advice buy dishes at Ikea but don't buy their furniture.
They are always my first choice whne it comes to furniture and home stuff. I just can't imagine any other shops that can give design, quality, relatively nice price and this kind of fun that you have walking around the store and especially eating in their canteen. Btw, the food at the canteen is not of so high quality, i would rather say they unfreeze it and warm up then serve for you. It contains a lot of preservatives, doesn't feel too natural. But it's cheap and nicely put half the way through the store so i always spend a few moments there - i'm always starving by the time i reach it.
I've ordered twice now from Ikea. Because it's so far from me online ordering is easier.
1st order. Items arrived damaged. Both sets of drawers. They were cheap. Not worth sending back.
2nd order. I paid for pick up in the store. A friend picked them up for me without checking the boxes. One box had forklift damage on the side. Actually poked a hole right through one of the drawers. Resulted in a second trip to Ikea.
Shipment fees in Edmonton are ridiculous as are installation fees. You pay $100 for a cabinet but then $200 for delivery on a specific date and installation. Products are not worth this.
It's only worth if you go in person with a couple of people to help you pick up items and install yourself.
I am a 99% online shopper. I have frequently made purchase and returned items to other stores with no problem. However, that is not true with Ikea. First off, they do not provide free return shipping. After paying $17.00 to return the items to the closet store near me, and waiting 2 weeks, I called customer service, waiting 10 minutes to talk to representative. I was then informed, that even though my package was delivered 2 weeks earlier, it wasn't processed until 2 days ago because they had "other returns. Now I have to wait up to another 14 days from now for my refund. All in all, it will take about a month when other sites take days. My advice, only order from Ikea if you're positive you are going to keep it. Very disappointed and will not be ordering from them again!
We ordered a shelf from IKEA in vaughan that never came. Stayed home from work twice for delivery dates they kept giving but they cancel last minute so I missed work twice. It's been months and I still cannot get in touch with them. There's 2- 3 hours wait on phone and no email. They took our money and charged delivery but no services. Their products are cheap quality too which is why we shouldn't have purchased again from them. Cheap quality. Cheap service. Do not ever buy from them. Not worth your time.
Answer: Found ikea to have scammed me, no delivery and no refund as yet. Disgusting
Answer: I chose IKEA because we like the quality, price, style and it's pretty easy to put together. We have purchased several items, besides the latest, which are the desk and chair. Our other items were a king-size bed, with a headboard, dresser, 2 nightstands, desk, bookcases, bedding and a mirror. Everything arrived in perfect condition and was easy to assemble.
IKEA has a rating of 2.1 stars from 266 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with IKEA most frequently mention customer service, delivery date and next day. IKEA ranks 45th among Furniture sites.
