Hours have been dedicated to looking at every item in the store. I cannot believe how much stuff I can buy for so little money.
You can find just about anything from IKEA to meet your needs. A bit hard to pronounce, but hey can't win everything.
I ordered a bed and it reached my home with some wear and tear. Basically deliverie sare not being taken care of
I've ordered table for computer. It came as planned. Now I'm working from home. And it seems a really comfortable.
Some good, some bad. Honestly it's a mixed bag. If you want simple, cheap furniture, then it does the trick.
This brand is very popular now. I really like that they process orders as quickly as before. Thanks, IKEA.
Awful experience.
2 weeks ago I went into the Southampton store to furnish my new appartment. One of the items I purchased was a sofa. I got home to find that the sofa was missing a box and so I went back the next day to see about picking it up. When I got to the store I was told that they didn't have the box and that they would arrange a delivery from their Reading store that would arrive in 4/5 days. I waited 5 days and then called customer services to chase up the package. I was told there had been an issue and that they were going to have it picked and sent that day and again I would have to wait 4/5 days for the delivery. I waited 5 days again and still no sign of the package. I called again on the 5th day and was yet again told that they were picking and sending the order! This time it would arrive within 1/2 days. I waited 2 days and STILL no sign of it. I called back again and was told the order hadn't been completed by the previous customer service agent and that I would have to wait ANOTHER 7 DAYS! I have absolutely no faith that this box will ever show up and suspect I will be forever trapped in this endles Ikea hell loop. By the time this thing is due to arrive it will have been 3 weeks without anywhere to sit in my new home. I will never return to Ikea after this. Never have I dealt with such an inept and incompetent company in my life. Do yourself a favour and cough up the extra money to go with another supplier.
Almost 3 weeks ago I made a very large purchase order with Ikea. Since then I have had 4 separate excuses as to why delivery could not be made. The delivery was first due on the monday. I did not get contacted as to why the delivery could not be made, and upon ringing on the tuesday, I was told excuse after excuse as to why the delivery was not made and informed that the delivery would be with us the next day. On the wednesday I received an email informing me that the delivery would not be with us until the thursday, so I rang up a second time. The second time, I was informed the true reason of the delayed delivery and of the lies told to me by the first customer service woman... a product was discontinued. By this time I had spent 2h 30 in 2 days on the phone to the Ikea Delivery service. I was informed at the end of the phone call with the supervisory manager of that branch, that I would receive the delivery on the following monday, (5 days wait). Monday came around and I received an email advising that the delivery would not be made. I rang up again to understand the second mistake and discovered that the order had not be processed by the branch and the Supervisory management had not followed the process to check it would be delivered on time. After a total of 3h 30mins on the phone, the delivery had been delayed for a second time to thursday. 2 and a half weeks since the order was first places!
I prefer other brands. I would not recommend any of their products. That is my personal choice. There are much better brands to choose from.
Placed my first order with IKEA, BIG MISTAKE!
I paid 20€ for the delivery of a 600€ order that was supposed to be delivered in 7 days, which is already bad considering that most furniture shops offer free 3-5 day delivery. On the 7th day at 8 AM I receive a call from the courier to let me know that he's about to deliver my parcels, I thought that was right on time. However, few hours later he calls to tell me that they made a mistake and forgot to load my parcels into the van. Inconvenient of course, but mistakes happen and he told me he would come the next day and that was fine. The next day I waited until 4 PM when I received another call from the same guy telling me that my parcels were the only transport to my city and there was no point to come to my address just for me, but they will deliver the next day (again). 2 or 3 hours later I receive another call from IKEA informing me that there was an issue with the dispatch of my order and that I should expect it to arrive in another 6 days.
I canceled the order and now I can only hope I'm getting my money back. Their customer service don't care to help you either.
Complete garbage, my first and last order, that they couldn't even deliver. Will never in my life order from them again and everytime I meet someone who is considering buying even a single thing from IKEA, I will make sure they change their mind.
There's better shops that sell good, quality furniture and actually offers good customer service, go find those shops and stay away from IKEA.
High quality products. Price is acceptable. Helpful staff. Great environment. Food is the best. Well organised display.
I´ve purchased from Ikea several times. Good value for money. Last time I faced a problem with a product but it got changed with no problem
My friend advised me this site. I ordered several towels there and a few pots. The prices are ok for me. Delivery wasn't late.
Our order was missed on July 19th due to miscommunication with the driver. We were home waiting on the delivery. I called NAL and IKEA and rescheduled it for July 22. I received an email today that I need to schedule it again with dates July 24, 25, 26, 27 and 28. I called to state it had already been scheduled for July 22, Tuesday, and was told it had not been and that date was not available. I was also told that none of the above mentioned dates were available after I had just received the email one minute ago. I was told the earliest date was August 3. This is totally ridiculous. I spent a very long time on hold yesterday to schedule this delivery and was told by both NAL and IKEA that this date was available and my delivery had been scheduled. The person, I talked to, Brittany, was very condescending and not the least bit helpful in why this mix up has hapenned. Just to state "we are a very busy company". This is very poor customer service. Why would I be told my delivery was scheduled for July 22 by two people only to receive an email to schedule it for the above dates to only be told by Brittany that those dates were not available either? One very unhappy customer!
Ok, so just read their delivery FAQs - I was told to expect delivery yesterday, then got an email saying that delivery would be today between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. I assumed with such a HUGE timeframe that there was no way they expected someoene to be home. Well, yes - they do. Luckily my 18 year old daughter had to be home today anyways as she wasn't feeling well, but she intentionally sat on the couch all morning waiting/hoping that her bed would be delivered. I get a voicemail while at work at 10:45 saying the trucks were at my house but that we were needing to reschedule because they couldn't reach me! In IKEA's FAQs, that you only see if you click on them and are not clearly stated in their email or when you order, someone 18+ has to be home and if the delivery has to be rescheduled you have to pay a redelivery fee. For one, who has 12 hours to sit at home waiting for a delivery? For two, someone was home and the delivery people were what - too lazy to knock on the door? NEVER ordering from them again!
The absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. Bought a day bed that I was told a queen bed would fit- verified at store with department manager and also was assured a queen bed would fit when pulled out. Even questioned because to twins are the size of double, but was assured again that a queen would fit. Spent over 10 hours to put the bed together with my husband - directions were awful. Once completed at midnight, tried to put the queen bed in and of course it was to big. This was suppose to be a surprise gift for my 16 year old daughter. Spent hours on the phone with customer service. Finally was told to break down the bed and bring it back in, that the conversation would be noted, and we would get a store credit. Brought the bed back in
Pieces ( all parts including the hard wear screws, nails etc) and was told that we would not get a credit- there were no notes on the numerous conversions we had with customer service. We were asked to see a manger. She was rude and had security ask us to leave. We were treated like criminals and were told we were lying. We called customer service and they said it would be look into it and their investigation stated the bed was not returned or left. I am sure there are cameras within ikea to show the bed was left, but they would not supply them. Our family lost over $300. We live in Tampa and this purchase was the first time to visit IKEA and we spent over $800. We will never shop there store again, we tell everyone we know what happened to us, and are very vocal to any conversation we have with people friends and/or strangers of our experience. What is truly sad is the behavior of the managers. It might be an ok place to buy plates, or small items, but be very weary of buying furniture or kitchens- especially at the Tampa location.
Good service. Recently bought a set of towels for the bathroom. Completely satisfied with the quality
This review is more about the companies IKEA chooses to partner with. The furniture delivery was supposed to be from 9 am to 1 pm. After 1:30, I tried calling the delivery company and was on hold for 1 hour and 5 minutes before I just hung up out of frustration. The drivers finally came at 3:00 pm making me late to pick up my children from school. Then they had to put the furniture in one room since they had to take a photo of the items together, even though the furniture was supposed to go into two rooms. AND, IKEA recommended using Task Rabbit for furniture assembly and they proved to be unreliable to say the least. I was excited to hear about the company since I wanted the furniture put together by experts and appointments seemed to be quick. I didn't realize at the time that the company is made up of independent individuals doing the work. I made an appointment for the next day and was really happy about the quick turn around. But, then the individual canceled the appointment at 9 pm the night before the appointment. I made another appointment for the next day (Friday) with a different individual through the website, and that individual sent me a message hours later changing it saying that he could only do it on Saturday. Two changes within two days made me not trust this company, so I canceled the appointment. What is the purpose of the appointment system if it is not reliable? Many of us work full time and have to take off work to make these types of appointments. I cannot imagine that I will use Task Rabbit in the future because of their reliably. I do not know about the quality of their work. Why does IKEA work with/recommend this company? I see that Task Rabbit has way more negative reviews than positive ones.
I have shoped there several times. I order for example a bed, office furniture, blinds and lockers. This store have almost everything you need.
Answer: Found ikea to have scammed me, no delivery and no refund as yet. Disgusting
Answer: I chose IKEA because we like the quality, price, style and it's pretty easy to put together. We have purchased several items, besides the latest, which are the desk and chair. Our other items were a king-size bed, with a headboard, dresser, 2 nightstands, desk, bookcases, bedding and a mirror. Everything arrived in perfect condition and was easy to assemble.
IKEA has a rating of 2.1 stars from 266 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with IKEA most frequently mention customer service, delivery date and next day. IKEA ranks 45th among Furniture sites.
