Canadian buyers beware! Even though they have a Canadian site, I Got charged $13 customs fee on a 25$ purchase from them. Very deceptive! Stick to amazon, iHerb is a terrible deal.
We have been encountering problems with checking out our last order. We have been buying from iHerb for the last 10 years. We do not get the help we need to fix the problem with checking out after trying for 4 consecutive days. What a hassle! They told me to ask a neighbor or a friend for help We asked iHerb to confirm the order we finally were able to place on the 4th November, but they have not bothered to reply.
Ovoid at all costs. Excessive hidden customs charges mentioned nowhere on their website. Buy elsewhere and avoid the hassle.
Horror with shipping. They were supposed to come oct 16th I was all they home nobody came not there was any note left. After that they return bsck the shippment. I had extensive emails with customer service and they cpuld not tell me when i will get my package and why was it returned. Finally out of the blue it came 2 weeks delayed. This has made me decide to nonlonger use iherb for my orders. After so many years of good service this was a shock! Horrible customer service and shipping!
Very poor customer service. Lack of communication between I-Herb and DHL who supposed to deliver my parcel (as a result I have no parcel and haven't got my refund); the shipping cost very high... I do not recommend. Waste of time and money.
I have used them regularly over the past 3+ years to order a wide range of beauty, wellness, grocery & household items. I like that they offer a wide selection of quality products at great prices, plus a highly efficient & affordable overseas delivery service. I have not had a problem with any order so far. I ordered from here when I lived in the Czech republic. Upon receiving my shipment I had to pay an additional $45 in shipping and customs charges. Now in the Czech Republic medicament is not subject to customs charges and when I contacted customer service explaining this and asking about having the labeling on future orders reflect that it was in fact medicament. I received a response which would indicate they didnt even read my damn email. As it read "We label all packages Health and Beauty supplements" and "You should read about and understand the customs and tax policies in your country." Umm... Of course I understand the customs policies in my country I just explained them to you. I order from Supplements That Work now. The prices are better and they show up faster because they are located in GB.
Not much people seem to know about iherb, newhealthland is nz site that sel iherb products and no need to worry about high shipping fees and duties.
I am a longtime iHerb fan. Plenty of products and information. Very nice website and very easy to use. Great prices. Very fast delivery. Cosmetics- do not always have all the products in stock. Great deals. Warmly recommended.
All communication with iHerb must be done through the live chat. I never had issues with iHerb before, but recently had a small setback with their shipping and packing. Original order was misrouted and never received. Seemingly UPS's fault? The replacement order arrived damaged and completely wet due to broken glass due to NO PACKING except for ONE air cell/pillow. All glass bottles were loose in the box. The 3rd shipment arrived with superb packing where each bottle was individually bubble-wrapped. I have to admit, they were very responsive with the replacement shipments. I think their customer service is good except for not having a customer phone number.
I ordered Kettle Chips at the beginning of October 2017. They sent me chips along with the other items in a very large box where all the items ordered had substantial room to move around. The chips arrived with an expiration date of 9/30/2017, almost 2 weeks out of date. I contacted them and they said they would send me a replacement. After 10 days, I receive the replacement, also with the same date of 9/30/2017. I sent them pictures the first and second time. When I sent them pictures of the replacement, they asked for pictures of the first bag's barcode and the second bag's barcode. It was like they were saying I was making it up. Really? I have been a customer of theirs since almost the first year they have been in business and they treated me like I was scamming them out of $4.65. Then they blocked me (yes blocked me) from placing a review on their site. If this order had gone through Amazon, then Amazon would have shut down their store with them. YOU NEVER SEND OUTDATED PRODUCTS. Their shipping department totally is without care to the products they ship out. I have also had items arrive broken with product all inside the box and covering the other products ordered. Then they tell me that when I need to order that same product (the one broken) that I have to contact them first before I place the order. Why? I am done with them, and as soon as I find somewhere else to order, I am closing out my account.
You are insane if you waste your money here. Unfortunately, I never read these reviews first. DON'T ORDER FROM HERE. They save money by screwing you around so long with their poor service and bad shipping that your package never arrives. When it doesn't, they will charge you shipping and services in both directions for the package you never received.

I had placed an order for Rs 1,565.49, Shipping are. 1,154.72 total amount Rs. 2,720.21
Yesterday I received a call from DHL as I require to pay duty of Rs 2800. 00
As its for personal use the package should be duty free. I can understand if the duty amount is approx 25% of my order value. Its about 200% of my order value. I requested the courier company to reduce the tax amount but they reduce to help. I was forded to return the package as it was not worth paying another Rs 2800. 00 only for a few packets of pasta.
I feel you should inform your customers when they place order as the duty amount will be about Rs2800. 00
Iherb Reply... We apologize for this issue. The amount of the duties and taxes are determined by your country. The percentage they charge is based on their rules and policies.

DHL can charge a handling fee for their process they do with the customs clearance process.
(Why does herb not inform us while placing our order)
We do not charge this when you place the order because it may not always apply. If there is no customs fees applied, then DHL does not charge this fee.
(DHL wishes to collect its charges so why will they try to get the goods without paying duty)
So we do not want to charge all customer this fee and then have it not applied to their order. Also it is not just a flat fee, it can vary based on the location and region the order is shipping to. This is why we advise these fees can be applied in the cart before you place the order. Unfortunately, we do not refund for customs fees as they are not paid to iHerb.
On the invoice that is presented to customs, we include the items cost, and freight as it is required. The customs agency will determined if they charge fees on just the items or if they will charge on customs as well.

This one star for review of iHerb is because of extra cost, my e.g. is that I ordered order where I payed shipping, but I received another bill for shipping, company who delivered the order to near store where I can pick it up.
IHerb order with shipping: 52 euro
Extra cost for shipping: 18 euro
After all, iHerb support act like that is normal. (without deeper details, but they said "sorry")
Btw. I am usual positive guy and I mean this is my first bad review, ok maybe second.

Iherb visa card payment not secure that means it will be open can be changed any time. Secondly it takes extra money from consumer thru dhl. Who is its shipping partner
I placed an order on September 21st. My expected delivery date was between the 26th and 27th of September. I tracked my package on the 26th and it stated it was out for delivery, never received it. So I tracked it on the 27th, it stated it had been delivered but I never got it. So I contacted iHerb (BTW, their customer service is a joke, they don't have a 1-800 number, just a 24/7 chat line) on the 28th and told them my issue, the lady told me she would UPSNext me one for the following business day. Here it is the 1st of October and when I track my package it still says "processing". I contacted them again to inquire about what was taking so long to process my order and the lady told me she would forward my question to the appropriate person and I would receive an e-mail with an explanation within 24 hours. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!
I am giving one star because there was no option of 0 star. Ultimately the products will cost you three times the original value because of custom duty and the handling charges of the courier partner. I ordered from India and feeling totally cheated. I understand the custom part and was fully prepared for it but handling charges by courier company is total and utter extortion. We are paying for transport isn't handling a part of it and if not then why isn't this fixed cost reflected during checkout?
You can find everething you need to take care your health! A very good site an easy to use! Thr best choice to find suplements!
I must say delivery was fast, but with it I have received a bill for £17 from DHL for customs charges. This was not explained when I placed my order. For my vitamins worth £20, had to pay £8 for postage and £17 for customs. No benefits of buying from IHerb. Additional charges should be highlighted when the order is placed not when DHL knocks on your door with an invoice.

Answer: Yes you will be charged extra, they dont make it clear when you place an order, but I was asked to pay an extra £15 sterling before they would deliver my goods to my home, so I refused and am waiting a refund of my order which they now tell me will take up to 6 months, not a good company to deal with, buy from home if I were you, I will not purchase from america again.
