Bought as secondary computer. Used 4-20 hrs per week. Just over 3 years old, the charger seemed not to work - replaced charger - still did not seem right -- took to tech and they said the charger was good -- the white flashing light meant something wrong with component - need to contact HP -- and they even said - don't hold your breath - you won't be able to talk to anyone and they won't help you anway --- this will be the last HP purchase that I make and I will tell this story to others
I purchased a very expensive laptop last year and almost from Day 1 I have had issues with is overheating.
I have contacted HP several times and started a complaint and each time I have been guaranteed I would be contacted in 24-48 hours. After 48 hours I have contacted HP again to no avail. It has now been 9 days since my initial complaint and it is clear that you do not care about customer service and safety of customers is not a priority or concern.
My laptop is getting so hot that I have burnt myself several times using it. I need my laptop everyday so this has been an incredibly inconvenience I want to be compensated for.
I am now starting a chargeback with my bank for the funds as I cannot use a faulty laptop therefore I did not get what I paid for.
HP is a scam everything about their products is a scam. I contacted customer service about their insta-ink program and they stated that unless I re-enroll I could not use the ink mailed to me and would have to go purchase ink from the store. WHAT! How people keep purchasing their products is beyond me. I will be buying a new printer and throwing this one in the trash!
Don't buy HP computers that have touch screens. Mine lasted 2 months and HP has advised me that they do not have the parts to repair it. Estimated time to repair will be 3 months. I made a bad choise.
Hp computers and laptops have been a staple of my home network for awhile. HP provides value and quality in both platforms of PC. I recommend HP products because of the reliability and design. I have owned other brands and nothing has lasted as long as HP
I bought a printer from Staples store and the printer does not work that well. It is an HP OfficeJett 5255. Pretty much every single time I try to print something the stupid machine gives me a problem. I had a long struggle with it not reading the wifi signal from my laptop and that problem was fixed by me purchasing a cord to connect it directly to the laptop and then once that problem was fixed, I started having problems with the ink cartridges and had to replace them even though they were not empty and this is after years of one printer problem after another. My advice to you, before you buy a printer, read the reviews online and research the product thoroughly before you purchase it and its expensive ink cartridges.
I purchased the computer a little over a year ago, it is very slow, and I think that maybe something didn't go right when I turned it on for the 1st time. I talked to customer service while I still had a warranty but they could barely speak/understand English. I had to explain the situation many times over and it was never resolved. I think that it would be a good computer if something hadn't went wrong initially. I wish that I could have understood the customer service rep better. Also in fairness to HP I am not super tech savvy. I do own a printer/fax/copier from HP that I love.
While attempting find a laptop for my first year of college I thought I had found a great deal on the laptop I had spent months researching. I got a student discount with HP's Education account and everything was going well. The price was within my budget with every feature I needed. During checkout, I viewed the price verification and it said $682 (some odd cents) this price was confirmed twice. However when I hit "place order" the price was changed to $988.97 and this new amount was taken out of my account. I have since canceled the order and it said credit would be dispursed to my bank within 3-5 business days. I won't even be able to order a laptop for school for another week and I no longer have enough money in my account to order any other supplies I will need. Overall I am deeply upset and will be using another site and company to order my laptop from as my trust has been broken and encourage everyone else to do the same.
Mark my words, I will NEVER own another HP product of any kind as long as I live. A company that shakes down the consumer by requiring only a print cartridge manufactured by HP to be used in a printer is not only illegal but down right disgusting and it exudes corporate greed. I own this printer, I paid the retail price for it when I purchased it; I should have the right to put any print cartridge in it that I choose. I have a family to feed, just like the thousands of HP employees that are also surely getting screwed by this. I hope the small margin they make from unsuspecting consumers that are duped into this makes up for the $0 margin they will get from me in the balance of my lifetime. If there had been a zero stars rating or a negative rating, I'd have selected one.
I bought a HP because I had luck with the laptop but I never had to use customer service with the laptop. Since having the printer I have had to call Customer service multiple times and every time I have to go through the virtual assistant that never helps and upon calling the 855 number I have to go through a virtual person who does not understand me and finally after pressing multiple numbers I can get to a recording that allows me to get to customer service. This same recording try's again to get me to use the virtual assent multiple times before putting me on hold. Then I am on hold for no less yet 40 minutes or longer to speak to someone from another country who does not know one thing about what I am asking.
Today the problem was I got an invite to the new Indra ink and paper program. So I sign on and press the accept button and it just takes me to a blank screen. I am still on hole 30 minutes later and no resolve.
Only allowed to cancel order within 1 hour, even HP was unable to deliver and postposed your order to 1 month.
No Customer service, No cancellation allowed. HP only employs sales to answer your phone and will only help you submit a cancellation request. You will receive a Cancellation Not Approved reply in 5 business days from HP.
Fake their reviews. You cannot post 1 star to complain. HP will block it and not publish bad reviews on their website.
Update on Oct/5/2022:
Shipping from China. The laptop was shipped from China and arrived on yesterday. I placed order on 9/9/2022 and received on 10/4/2022. I have been called twice for cancellation before order started to assembly.
About return and refund:
I don't like the laptop and requested to return on the same day I received the laptop. Unfortunately there will be 15% restocking fee for return.
My father (I'm 15) bought a HP OfficeJet Pro Printer which costed almost 200 USD and the printer worked perfectly fine for 4 months until, the printer had a cartridge problem saying "One or more cartridges are missing" but everything was fine. I even did try fix it said the same thing again and again. This meant my father had to buy another cartridge but its really expensive. So it meant that HP doesn't have a proper system of printers. The last thing I'm saying is that don't buy from these guys because they give bad quality and bad system.
Their products are a money scam! We used our printer maybe once a month for two years while paying for the ink we didnt use. We decided not to continue paying for it and they tell us we cant even use the ink we have more than paid for already! Then our laptop we had for a year told us we had to pay 80 a year for Microsoft word. We cant afford that so we didnt. Now we cant use our laptop or our printer unless we continue to pay out the but for basic services!
I have been using hp products for the last 20 years and in that time their products and services have done nothing but go down hill. Customer service is absolutely non existent, every time I try to log in to my account it takes me 3 hours of fighting their system, even their instant ink subscription is a joke its been over 3 months since I have received colored ink and trying to get anywhere through their virtual assistant is a complete and utter joke. All it does is send you on a trip of runarounds that lasts literally for hours. I remember a time when the name HP actually meant quality, but that time has long since passed. They should be ashamed of themselves for the shotty way they do business and the atrocious quality of their products. Shame on you HP.
I inadvertently purchased the wrong ink for my printer and it has been over 30 days since I purchased it. I just want to replace with the correct ink. The only way they will replace it is if I buy an upgraded printer and then they will replace the ink. So I now have 4 unopened boxes and will just throw them away as I have no use for them. I would never buy from HP again. Amazon all the way...
I have not been unhappy with my all-in-one 3700. It did what it is supposed to do.
Until now, now it won't scan. It prints fine, so I know it is connected to the wifi.
But the HP Smart software isn't so smart after all. It says the device is not found. Yet I can still print from the computer. I just cannot scan because HP Smart cannot see the device and cannot tell me how to find it.
Worst customer support I've ever had. The directions are giving me wrong info on buttons I don't have, and the only way to get support is to get info I don't have in places where it isn't available. Worst tech experience ever.
I bought a laptop from HP and it turned out to be defective. I sent it for repair but they could NOT fix it! Called them hundred times to replace it under warranty, but every time they made unreasonable excuses not to replace it. Obviously, they only waste you time until your warranty is over and they get rid of responsibility. Bottom-line, DO NOT buy HP, or you will lose your money, time, and temper!
I have a 8035 HP printer (one year old). It takes the 910 cartridges and you need all 4 of them for the printer to work. HP does not have any and does not know when they will have any available. This is unacceptable for a company this size. I need these cartridges NOW. They have not had any for over a month. If they can't provide me with these cartridges, then they need to pay me the $150 needed to get the next comparable printer for me that I can purchase ink for.
When you buy HP online through hp.com they will tell you shipping 2-3 days but they never ship it that fast, I had to cancel my order before shipping but they still charge you and it VERY hard to get in touch with customer service for any reason
Answer: Impossible by phone since at least December 2023. ( May be before)
Answer: I'm old and remember the HP of 20 years ago. Boy has time changed this company.
Answer: Lenovo is similar to HP, though the performance of Lenovo's computers is complete crap, the upside to it is that they at least have good service.
HP has a rating of 1.2 stars from 520 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with HP most frequently mention customer service, tech support and instant ink. HP ranks 201st among Laptops sites.
