I have tried fir a year to get Hoveround to properly repair my chair that is two years old
Calling only ends with excuses and lies
The motors smoke and make noise and Of the two years I have had the chair, it has sat in my carport 99.9% of the time
I am an amputee above the knee
I have had to use my ten year old Jazzee chair instead
Never buy a Hoveround and most definitely never trust a word their service dept or technicians say
Disgusting cmpany and people
Every one I spoke with were super nice. They were very thorough and explanation and made me feel comfortable and confident that I was going to receive an Hoverround and I really hope that I do because I can use one. I have neurofibromas Ananas and it is difficult to walk sometimes due to my back I could use one.

I bought a hoveround MVP5 it was supposed to have 5 year warranty, ( didn't) the back wheel caster broke only 1 year and 11 days later and we found out it was not under warranty, after several phone calls with some very rude customer service people and going round and round with them for 5 months I ended up fixing my power chair. They said it was the insurance and my insurance said it was hoveround and they had sent what they needed, they don't loan you a chair if yours is broke until it's fixed and all I was told was he was sorry but. I would never buy from them again. I am an amputee and have to have a power chair so this is unacceptable. I made a report to BBB on this.

I have not heard back from Hoveround. I talked on phone and they said would get back to me. Have not heard back to get my new hoveround because warranty has ran out on mine.

From December to March, to get this settled between your company and my Dr office. Each blaming the other of why not happening, this went on for 3 months. Once all t's were crossed and i's dotted, didn't take long to get the chair. My insurance paid for the chair and 4 year warranty, that was a good plus. Dana that brought the chair was very super helpful, I appreciated his time and expertise about the chair. I'm getting better at controlling the chair after marking the walls, pulling trim away, but I'm getting there. I do love what freedom it has given me.

Just wanted to drop you a note about the product that you offer. I am very pleased with the chair. It does everything I want it to and then some. The rep who delivered the powered wheel chair was super nice and very helpful. My little Jack Russel (Milo) even liked him. I am truly impressed with the equipment and it is of quality construction. Thank you so much. You have given an old man a new way to get from point A to point B without having to deal with the horrible pain and falling all the time. Keep up the good work.
At the first contact with HOVEROUND, they asked a lot of questions. They then instructed me to get in contact with my doctor and get an appointment with him to fulfill their inquiry as to 'why I required a power chair. I attended my appointment and responded to all the questions and requirements my doctor stated I needed to be eligible to further process my need and request for a power chair. After all of this scrutinization, they sent me a letter; denying me a power chair, because they do not operate in Arizona and they do not deal with Cigna. All such wasted precious time and energy.

Lady assisting me was very pleasant and helpful. I hope my request goes thru fast after my doctor visist end of June. It has been very helpful too me so far. A senior has trouble following instructions for you require, but not this time...waiting for me to book my Dr. appointment, and other details. Very patient and understanding.
They did a great job at the beginning to get everything organized for my electric wheelchair. They were supposed to call me on Friday to make sure that all the paperwork is in to schedule point for the next step. I have not heard from them cents.
Everything went as planned. The technician arrived a little early and that was good. He was very professional and polite. Answered all questions so I understood the first time it was explained and he's very knowledgeable of his job.

One agent would explain a procedure and I would pass it along to my primary. Then another agent would call asking a question regarding dates for assessment and I told them - physical therapy July 11 and primary July 26. That same day or next day another agent calls to see how assessment went! I told them I had said it was not until the 11th. They thought it had been in June! That was a regular appointment with my primary. Then I'm told the process includes steps they neglected to tell me before so I had not given my primary correct information. It was like they were trying to hide something from me. One day they needed to call and confirm my appt on the 26th with my primary and said I had to stay on the line. Then I found out there was no need for me to stay on the phone. Made me mad.
I have no idea what an order ID is. I have also received an email from Hoveround telling me I have a message to check regarding an inquiry by going to the My.Hoveround.com portal. I had no idea what that was and no instructions. I found out I needed to go to Hoveround.com and create my account. However, there wasn't anything there for that either. Needless to say, I'm not impressed with Hoveround Customer Service.

I have made multiple attempts to contact someone there for a referral for a hover round. The menu keeps looping back to the same original question over and over. Finally, twice, I pressed another key that was not pertinent to my call. Got voice messages both time and no return calls. I won't be referring anymore clients to this company
My experience was very good to start to finish. They took me to every precipitate process. Make sure that I was getting the correct thing to help with my next step of my life and what I need to do just get the best Karen so I can get the doctors with my home around. Thank you very much.

From beginning of the order…. To the delivery was extremely easy. They did all the work and the delivery person was excellent. He was extremely knowledgeable and explained everything so well. I love the chair!

Answer: So sorry to hear that. I am no longer living with my father-in-law, but I can add to my earlier review and comments. The company did exactly the same thing to him, again. A year later. They got in touch to say that Medicare had accepted their appeal and that the chair was now finally his, and they sent a guy round with the paperwork for signature and everything looked great. It subsequently turned out that Medicare hadn't approved anything and didn't know anything at all about the appeal, and that they were not going to pay. The story that Hoveround gave me was smoke and mirrors and back came the bill for the chair again. As far as I know, a year and a half on, the chair is still not officially his. I probably won't hear anything more about it now, but I'm quite glad I don't have to deal with these people yet again.

Answer: Yes, if doctor can prove medically necessary. Doctor must make file notes to support and you must have an office visit that only addresses the need for your chair.
