I ordered a Hymar AL 400 Lift, for my mobility scooter. They delivered a hymar AL 100. They did not include. All the needed equipmand and they are lift Was too low to the ground and would hit the ground while Driving. They knew there was a question about the model number. I was ordering, but instead of just calling me to get it clarified They decided they could figure it out on their own and figure it out wrong. They did not include a swing gate which I ordered. Once installed, it did not work and would not lift my mobility scooter off the ground. When I tried to call Salman Sazid He stopped taking my calls. And I could not reach him until I called him from a different telephone number. He then proceeded to lie to me about the order And whether or not high more made a swing gate for their mobility lifts. The unit was picked up the next day by the installer, A nice man named Cliff Bramlett, Who are recommends highly. I filed a dispute with my bank after Salmon refused to issue a credit despite the unit being the wrong model with the wrong attachments, which did not work and which would have hit the ground. Don't waste your time. Your breath or your money dealing with this idiot.
I purchased a unit 11/23, it stopped working 11/24, they sent a service person who had it running for 1 hour. I can't get anyone to come and fix it and it's been almost 3 months. Almost 4K out the window, now I have to take legal action. Their service man Mr Leece refuses to return phone calls even to Ameriglide. Go with Acorn or someone more reputable!
Do not purchase an Ameriglide product. They claim 110% customer satisfaction, but this is not true. My sister ordered a stair lift for my brother-in-law. It was delivered 9/27/24. He was admitted to the hospital prior to receiving it and passed away on 10/3/24. I called Ameriglide customer service on 10/3/24. I explained our situation and was told we would receive a return call. I called again on 10/4/24. This time I spoke with an extremely rude woman who refused to transfer me to a manager until I questioned their 110% customer satisfaction policy. I was transferred to Tony, left a message, and did not receive a return call. On 10/14/24, I called again. I spoke with Jessica. She said that we had missed the return policy by 1 day. I explained that the items were never opened and my brother in law (age 50) had died. She called Tony, and Tony said that there were no exceptions for their policy. I told Jessica to tell Tony that I would be warning families about purchasing from Ameriglide. My sister is now left staring at a stair lift in its box and a significant credit card charge while grieving the death of her husband. So much for 110% customer satisfaction…
I have been tracking others since I was stung hard ($8000 to complete by others) by them. They still will not call me back and has told their sales department to not answer any of my calls. Not that you reach anyone anyway. The true owner in their words is MIA and they have no way to contact him/her. To take advantage of us seniors knowing most will not put up a fight. Please read the countless bad reviews. There is a company out there (A USA Company) that will service our needs ten times better! Starts with a "B".
Best to you all with needs like this our insurance company or family pays out...
After paying over $3,000 for repair, we still dont have any call backs from the company. No one is responding to voice mails- we get transferred around so many times its ridiculous. They took our money and stopped communicating with us.
After a long discussion with sales rep about my needs I ended up receiving wrong lift. I was charged for the lift I needed which was more expensive than the one I received. Long story short, I now own a lift which I can not install and the company has gone radio silent to my calls and emails for help. Again this was their mistake I clearly stated my needs and where it was to be installed. This is beyond infuriating.
I have unfortunately called 3 different 800 numbers to get my parents stairlift serviced, only to receive no call-backs, and after speaking with one individual, and calling back the next day to find out why I didn't get a call-back - they told me they had never heard of me, and didn't have any case notes. Nice... Product is generally reliable, but ameriglide service is the worst... don't count on them at all - if you can't repair this product yourself, then you are SOL.
Bait and switch purchase! PLEASE beware! My elderly mother spent a LOT of her savings to have an installed stairlift as she is no longer able to navigate the stairs. The company committed to installation but after the system was delivered, realized they have no technician in our area. Over 45 days later and they will not accept nor return the dozens of calls my family has made. We are left with 4500. 00 of garbage and they promise to help, but have completely abandoned my poor mother. She already has physical limitations and this experience has caused her extreme mental distress, too. Ameriglide's customer base is 100% elderly or disabled and the literally do NOT CARE about what they have done to my mother.
I purchased a Rave2 stair lift and was advised to contact the installer when the item arrived. I called the installer the day before the stair lift arrived and left a voice mail requesting he call. I left multiple messages to np avail. After 5 days and multiple calls to the installer and Ameriglide the installer sent me a message saying it would be 8 days before he could come out. When I contacted the installation company, the female I spoke with was very rude. She said there were no other installers on my area and I would have to wait for him to call and abruptly hung up. I had to contact someone on my own to get the stair lift installed before my wife was discharged from a rehab center. So far my calls to Ameriglide have not been answered. My itemized bill clearly states $599.00 for installation. Since I had to go with someone else, I'll see what they say about getting a refund for the installation.
I have been trying to get a copy of my purchase for last three months with zero luck! In last three months I called the customer service almost 10 times, either left a voice mail or after talking to a representative, I was told they are going to send me the copy of my purchase, still waiting!
Ordered 2 stairlifts, one was fine, the other was not. John Goss, the salesman was useless and rude. The only way to contact him was by email. No one answers the phone in the Raleigh office. Their customer service rep Marcia couldn't even be bothered to learn my name and was illiterate as well. No help
Finally got someone to help me but the installer from DelStal couldn't fix it. Been waiting on a part for over a month. Everyone gives me the run around and actually forget what they previously told me. Meanwhile I have been trapped in my house
Do yourself a favor: use a local company
We design a 2 story system with 90 degree stops top, three 180 degree turns in between and a short 90 degree bottom to fit the built in stairwell. It took a few weeks more than they estimated, but Ameriglide team came through for every task. The kitted unit arrived on a 750 lbs. pallet air freighted from UK and delivered to our driveway in Virginia 2 days later. The install team were skilled and worked very hard to install very carefully with no mistakes. I ended up with a great system I am using many times per day since installed.
Purchased an Ameriglide RAV2 Stairlift in May. Due to a shoddy cut rail and and misaligned screw holes, the installer was unable to to his job. Got a new rail a week later. Spent the next 2 months trying to get the unit installed. 5 no-shows by the installer (wasting time waiting). Many MANY phone calls trying to "work" with the company to complete the installment. Suggested I would like to return the unit for a refund and was threatened I would be charged a restocking fee. Finally filed a complaint with BBB and got results. They were given one more week to install the unit and failed. Product was boxed up and returned to Ameriglide for a full refund. It's shameful it took the BBB to get treated right.
On the flip side, I called 101 Mobility for a stairlift. Free consult and installation took less than 2 weeks. I couldn't be more pleased along with my 88 year old mother who has been climbing stairs for months.
The chair lift itself is great and just exactly what we wanted. If fact, it exceeds our expectations. However, the instructions for installation were terrible. Nothing in any kind of sequence and very confusing. This probably added at least 2 hours to an otherwise fairly easy job.
Our rep told promised us a one month completion time after ordering. Completion took two months.
A rep took on-site measurements, and AmeriGlide promised the existing handrails would stay intact. Not so! They had to be completely removed and reassembled with the wall needing fixed and repainted.
The user has to ride facing the far right because otherwise his knees will collide with the wall. Absolutely ridiculous and dangerous!
The installer smoked and smelled like a chimney.
Poor customer service.
Stay away from this company!
Gave the company two stars in my first review. Company finally fixed issue (after a BBB complaint). Bottom line is that it was a cost effective solution.
This product was a great value, and the help i got was good, but could've been better, the person who helped me was very helpful, when i was able to reach them, or someone at their company, but as far as the product goes, its a good product. I had a handyman install it that was a slightly familiar with installations of this type, but it got done. Also the instructions were decent, but they look really out dated, it might be helpful to do a video of "common mistakes" so they can zoom in on certain things, because the video was taken from far away, not from close by. Overall would recommend it, came very fast, and hopefully i WONT have to take advantage of the 5 year warranty that comes with the product.
I ordered a walk in tub from Ameriglide, I was never giving any shipping info. I called and emailed several time, either being sent to someone's voice mail or no response. I finally got an answer several weeks after ordering and was told it was on back order. I cancelled my order. The customer service was non-existent. I will not be ordering from them again.
We we're promised a 10 day delivery by the salesperson which was the determining factor in our decision to buy from ameriglide as we were in a time crunch with invalids moving to our home... and our lift didn't even ship for several days after our expected delivery date. Our credit card was charged immediate though... As the charge was on our bill two days after our order was placed, over two weeks before it was even shipped. My encouragement would be to get delivery dates in writing with stipulations... or just find another vendor.
Customer service is non-existent.
I was given the run around on a quick ship item and it took more than two weeks to receive. They made excuses for their service and manufacturer. They were not concerned with their false advertisement and made no attempt to expedite shipping. They are not concerned about retaining customers or growing their business.
