My stair lift came on time with all parts intact and installation guide that made it easy to install. Vince, my salesman was very helpful and patient. Unit works fine and has taken a lot of worry over my mom using the stairs.

Exellence
September 16, 2017

I contacted Ameriglide online after having no success with our local medical equipment provider in locating a reasonably priced outside stair lift installation. They were very friendly, informative, and reassuring. The local contractor they provided did an excellent job and the lift was installed quickly, efficiently, and $2000 cheaper then the local estimate. It works perfectly - even in our recent power outage of hurricane Irma - and we're 100% satisfied. Pat Osborn

Satisfied Customer
August 8, 2017

I read reviews on everything before I make a purchase. I did not do so in this case because I needed something right away. My husband has Vascular Parkinsonism and his walking/gait is very unsteady. On July 4,2017 he fell off the back of a golf cart (we use it for our neighborhood - not golf). He landed on his right foot at an angle and broke the distal ends of the tibia and fibula in 3 places total. He had surgery to insert plate and pins and is in a cast for about 7 weeks with NO weight bearing on the broken leg. We live in a townhouse that has a drive under garage so there is a flight of stairs just to get up to the main part of the house where family room/kitchen/dining rooms are. I called Ameriglide and spoke with a man named Jaden and he was an exceptional sales person. I ordered the stair lift chair and it was installed a few days before my husband came home from rehab after 3 weeks. It was all under $3000 - including installation, parts, shipment, etc. The man who installed in travels all over the southern states and can install these with his eyes closed. He installed it in an hour. It is perfect for someone who can bear weight on one leg or the other or both. It would not work though for someone who cannot bear weight on both legs unless they can be lifted onto it by someone. The man who installed it gave me his personal contact information and will come to repair it whenever I need. He said most problems can be solved over the phone. An elevator would have cost around $28,000 and another dumb waiter type of option would have been $7-10,000. I am more than pleased with this product and also pleased with the sales, installation and quality of the product. I HIGHLY recommend this product.

They refuse to support or service their products, they will pass you around through voicemails and promise callbacks, you will not get them. Our stairlift is 3 years old, will not move, the diagnostic screen hasn't worked since it was installed, we have had nothing but problems since purchase. Ameriglide LOVES to steal money (about $10,000 for us) from the disabled and elderly. BUY FROM ANYBODY ELSE!

If I could rate my experience with AmeriGlide below one I would do it. It is zero!
It has taken 17 hours of installation time and the stair glide is not installed. The entire unit has to be replaced. The installers that were sent botched the installation two times. Parts had to be shipped in each time. The installer that was sent had never installed this unit before. THe third installer was sent and he stated the previous two attempts at installation have ruined the system beyond repair. Do not order from this company!
I want my money back. I want them to take this incomplete installation out of my home immediately.
This is been a horrendous experience. The installers that botched the installation blamed the companies inferior equipment for the problem. I quite frankly don't know whether it's the installers or the equipment but I'm sure it is probably a combination of both. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS STAIR UNIT!

AmeriGlide has quite a diverse selection of stair lifts, We looked and called and looked and called a whole bunch of folks in our quest for a durable, reliable and affordable stair lift.
This is our second lift. Our first one (14 years ago), I Installed. Now at 81 yrs. Old, we opted to have it installed. Great decision, my wife says!
Called Sean Graham at AmeriGlide Inc. in Raleigh, NC.
Sean was very helpful, answering all our questions and concerns. With his help we want with the "RAVE " stair lift. The price he gave us when we first called was the price we paid when it was installed a month later!
The installer, Mr. Ronald Thornton, came (right on time) to install our lift and had it installed in less than 2 hours from the time he knocked on our door to.the time he waved as he left for another installation.
This lift every thing the advertising say it is. Battery operated, so it works even without power. Smooth operation and quite quiet.
We live in a Condo that is 17 stairs up when we come out of our garage so it is quite necessary now!
If you are considering getting a lift, We would highly recommend getting the "RAVE" from AmeriGlide.

Disappointed
April 27, 2017

We we're promised a 10 day delivery by the salesperson which was the determining factor in our decision to buy from ameriglide as we were in a time crunch with invalids moving to our home... and our lift didn't even ship for several days after our expected delivery date. Our credit card was charged immediate though... As the charge was on our bill two days after our order was placed, over two weeks before it was even shipped. My encouragement would be to get delivery dates in writing with stipulations... or just find another vendor.

We had ordered the lifts (2 of them) to be delivered when we came home from a holiday out-of-state visit. They were delivered and left on our porch a week before we got home. We had to pay a neighbor (who had called us) $20.00 to put the packages in the garage.

We paid $150 to have our spaces measured by the company so there would be no mistakes
When the lifts came in, they did not fit right but the factory installer installed them anyway and told us how WE could fix it. We have had numerous problems with the remotes. They sent a new remote... still iffy. There is a loud clunking sound which the installer told us we could fix with shims but we cannot even get the screws out. I don't think that should have been our problem. Due to a mistake in installation, the foot rest kept coming apart. We found the screws and put it back together but then the part that is supposed to move freely was binding. I was told to just pry it apart with a screwdriver... still having a problem.
Beware: they will sell you the equipment but do not stand behind it.

I had the worst possible experience with this company. I am trying to get a stair lift installed for my father who recently had a stroke. I contacted AmeriGlide and everything seemed ok, but it went downhill from there. First I never received a representative to come by our home to inspect our property for installation, Instead I am told to measure the stairs myself. Then Instead of having an installer bring the stair lift to our home to install it, the company ships the parts separately to our home and failed to follow-up with us on installation. Only after my continuous calls I was given another number to an installer in Baltimore. I tried to called him but repeatedly received his voicemail, which I could not leave a message because his voicemail was full.

When I finally reached him he proceeds to tell me that he has no paperwork regarding my installation. The date that we could come was not compatible with our schedule but no alternate date was provided, other than he would get back to me. Only after I complained to the Manager Mr Johnson, I received a late night call from the installer. However I have chosen not to deal with this company and I hope this serves as a warning to others.

The company is located in North Carolina, And Mr Johnson is located in Georgia and they seem to farm out installation to another company. This caused major confusion and frustration for our family.

I have chosen a much better company that is local, has a warehouse with an available stair lift and they are installing it for us this Monday.

This is hands down the worst buying experience of my life.

Buyer beware!
March 21, 2017

I thought I researched this wheelchair lift quite thoroughly. Having a maintenance background for 30 years I felt confident in my Joyce. Little did I know once this company ameriglide get your money it's done. Starting from the shipping container was supposed to be small and handle by UPS. It had to be lit delivered by a truck and unloaded with a tow motor. Having measured it thoroughly I was convinced the measurements were accurate. We opted for their installer who they flew in. Really nice guy but I knew more about mechanics and electronics then he did. My father and I helped in the installation only to find out that the platform does not take a wide chair. The installer assured me we can return the platform for credit so we packed it up and ordered the other platform and paid another$1,500. So now we're in for $12,300 roughly the new platform came disassembled no return on the original platform. No offer of help in finishing installation so we packed it up to ship it back. Surprise! No returns. We have a $12,000 pile of pallets at my place of business total loss truly disappointed in this company stay away at all costs. Beware of the name Cameron.

I purchased a product that was manufactured incorrectly. My salesman Sean Graham refused to return any of my calls or emails. I was given the manufacturers phone number and they were not very nice either. We finally figured out that the product was manufactured incorrectly and a replacement part was sent to me. This cost me time and money and nobody seemed to care.

The chair lift itself is great and just exactly what we wanted. If fact, it exceeds our expectations. However, the instructions for installation were terrible. Nothing in any kind of sequence and very confusing. This probably added at least 2 hours to an otherwise fairly easy job.

Terrible service
January 9, 2017

We ordered a chair for my grandmother expecting it to be delivered In their 30 day window. While continuing to wait for the chair far after 30 days my grandmother was diagnosed with spleen, lung, liver, bone and pancreas cancer. She was given a week to live. While all of this was happening we realized we had just paid top notch for this chair that was already being delivered late. When we called the company and asked to cancel our order because of the circumnstances they claimed that it was too late and or chair would be delivered anyway because otherwise the company would "eat the cost." They had no sympathy and were unbelievably rude and inconsiderate. We now have a chair sitting in our garage because their "in home installation" which we payed extra for upon initial purchasing, is apparently just bringing it in the garage out of the potential rain... pathetic. Do not use this company.

3years ago I had a Horizon Plus chairlift installed by their people (paid by me). I have just ended my third summer with the chairlift NEVER working. Not working at all. Another technician was sent out (me paying an additional $350) and it still does not work. The mother board has never worked, the remotes have never worked and no can ride it. My sister, in the mean time, has died of Lou Gerigs diseases never being able to participate in my home. I have been more than patient. I am contacting the BBB and am hiring an attorney. Stay away from these con artist... they are not for real.

Terrible service
September 19, 2016

We purchased a chairlift from them and had it installed only to find out is was a residential chair lift and not a commercial chair lift that we required being a business. Nothing but hassles trying to get it uninstalled and getting a refund. After SEVERAL months and attempts to rectify we went to the warehouse and demanded our product back as they would not refund us

AmeriGlide Mesa, AZ. Office stated they would have my stair lift installed in 30 days. It will be over 60 days before I will have the lift installed. They claim an employee who handles the orders, measurements, shipping, etc. was ill and caused the delay. I couldn't believe the whole process would stop because an employee was sick! Inexcusable! The parts are built in the U. K. I told them had I known this, I would have never ordered a stair lift from them. Delays, Delays, Delays! These are the excuses I've been given from the start. If I had to to this over again, I would go somewhere else to order a stair lift. Bottom Line - Check everything out ahead of time before dealing with this Company.

Life saver
August 11, 2016

The ameriglide came on time with all parts. It took a few hours to install but was not difficult. It works wonderfully! The only thing we wish is that the chair swiveled at both ends on the rail. It has taken the stress out of going up and down our steps.
We highly recommend this product.
