I spoke with Fred. Very very nice gentlemen. Very patient with me. I was driving at the time of the call he wait with me till I could pull over and get the information he needed.
I was Going to use hover round and my doctor's office was decided to go to somebody else who they use and hover round called me and they are very very rude and I suggest not using them At all They are very rude and I was very upset with them
The representative was very kind and professional, and gave me all the information that I needed and took care of all the things that I needed to take care of

I've had my Hoveround for 3-1/2 yrs. Original batteries lasted 3 yrs. Bought new batteries from Hoveround & technician came out & installed. Batteries went out in 3 months & then Hoveround sent replacement batteries as the batteries are warranted for 6 months. These replacement batteries went out after 2 months & then Hoveround said they only warrant batteries 1 time & after 1st time of sending replacement batteries for a bad set THEY sent, the replacement batteries are not warranted at all. So for 3rd batteries I bought from Amazon - 1/2 price, no shipping cost & 1 yrs warranty. However these still won't hold charge & my son took apart Hoveround & found 1 rear tire had worn out inside & "might" be causing enough drag to cause batteries to discharge when using. Bought new tire on Amazon for 1/2 what Hoveround charges, but didn't help as I still have to charge it every time I use it, after about 10 minutes run time. Very comfortable chair, but their service is almost nonexistent & I would not buy another one. Had to pay entire cost of chair myself as they said Medicare wouldn't cover even tho dr. & 2 different P. T. said I needed it. For it to last only 3-1/2 yrs for what I pd for it is highway robbery. When Sr. Home I live in said I needed tie downs, I called Hoveround & they did put metal rods on chair underneath the seat for tie down & much better than cloth tie downs, but had to pay labor & cost of metal tie down rods. These should be on chair before they ever deliver it originally. Still don't know why batteries keep having to be recharged after 10 min of use & don't believe Hoveround will help.
We have a sidewalk that goes up small hill. Hover round had no grip and your client slid down hill and chair and client fell. Client is on coumadin and this could of been very bad!
My mom purchased a hoveround in June 2014. Supposed to be brand new. It has been one problem after another. The batteries will not stay charged, the technician didn't even know how to change them out. Twice I have had to change the batteries and show the technician how to replace them,"(the same technician each time). All he does is stand around pretending he is talking on the phone with technical support, smacking gum and blowing bubbles, (how much more rude can you be) smelling like he smoked a pack of cigarettes. Both of my parents suffer from copd so the smell of cigarettes smoke along causes them to start wheazing. They have also had joystick problems not covered under the warranty. My father recently fell and is in icu because the chair failed to work right and he had to push it to get my mom out of it safely. Hoveround response "we hope he gets better." That from the vp of marketing. They refuse to repair the chair, they say that the batteries and the joystick aren't their responsibility to replace. And they practically dared me to sue them. Really, there is no customer service, if you call technical support they put you on hold until you hang up. If you are considering buying one don't you will regret every minute of it. Unless you are paying out of pocket then they still will not help you but they sure will love your money. I hope the corporate office at hoveround is proud of "their product". From what I have read on here not too many customers are proud of their purchase, service or technical support they get.
When ever I need service for my chair I always have to call Hoveround 4/5 times to see if any body has followed up on the order. They always use the doctor as an excuse for why the order is still pending. THEN THIS IS THE BEST PART HOVEROUND SENDS THE NEEDED PARTS BUT I HAVE TO FIND A REPAIR PERSON TO DO THE JOB FOR FREE. RECENTLY THEY SENT OUT NEW WHEELS (4) I FOUND A PERSON AGAIN TO TO THE WORK FOR FREE BUT NOW THE REAR WHEELS ARE MAKING A VERY LOUD POPING NOISE AND I HAVE NOBODY IN MY AREA TO EVEN LOOK AT THIS PROBLEM.
THE CHAIR IS GREAT HOVEROUND SERVICE IS IN THE TOLIET.
SUCH A BIG HELP. I GOT MY LIFE BACK. I WAS NOT ABLETO GO EVEN AROUND IN MY HOUSE WITHOUT PAIN. I NOW FEEL LIKE I GOT MY LIFE BACK AND CAN DEPEND ON MYSELF FOR EVEN THE SMALLEST OF THINGS. THANKS HOVEROUND.

Hoveround called me and was supposed to call me back with some more information for me cuz they're going to check into my insurance and everything and I haven't heard nothing back in days

The ease of guiding this Hoveround is NON-EXISTANT! I am Very disappointed in this! I have taken it outside to ride and try to learn how to drive this thing and it DOESN'T help when I get back into the house.

Giving me the Runaround. I am not one to order an item, especially a costly one, without the experience of being able to sit on it and test it. I was told there isn't anywhere, I can go to look at one and before you would do anything I had to jump thru hoops including involving my doctor. I understand that things have to be on the up and up to have Medicare and Insurance help with coverage, and I have nothing to hide. Of course your company called today to tell me the doctor missed a question and did not include a prescription for the chair. The reason being, I'm not sure what type of chair I want, just yet. The lady said she will put it on hold until I make a decision. I may end up going with your chair because from what I have seen I like the idea of the turning radius. It is a nice chair and that is all that I can say, Hopefully this chair does better then the last as I had a lot of problems with it and to get it fixed one time it took over three months before I got iot taken care of and a lot of phone calls almost felt like it wasn't worth the effort on my part and then right after the warenty went out it (the chair) broke down again I had it fixed out of my pocket, so now hope you all down there in Florida should be proud of your self's that you asked me for a review
I had no clue that the phone call I answered was a robocall. The lady on the other end was informative, personable and knew what she was representing.
Hoveround went overboard to help me get my chair, could not ask for a better experience. I give them an A in all aspects.

Just as I get excited that I may be getting a new power wheelchair I receive a call from a representative stating that you refuse to work with my hospital and doctor
Answer: So sorry to hear that. I am no longer living with my father-in-law, but I can add to my earlier review and comments. The company did exactly the same thing to him, again. A year later. They got in touch to say that Medicare had accepted their appeal and that the chair was now finally his, and they sent a guy round with the paperwork for signature and everything looked great. It subsequently turned out that Medicare hadn't approved anything and didn't know anything at all about the appeal, and that they were not going to pay. The story that Hoveround gave me was smoke and mirrors and back came the bill for the chair again. As far as I know, a year and a half on, the chair is still not officially his. I probably won't hear anything more about it now, but I'm quite glad I don't have to deal with these people yet again.

Answer: Yes, if doctor can prove medically necessary. Doctor must make file notes to support and you must have an office visit that only addresses the need for your chair.
