I was extremely happy with the way everything was handled when I finally got my chair. The guy that came was wonderful. Made sure I knew all I needed to operate my new chair. Thank you so much!
First off, I have to say that I have had my Hoveround for 2 years. In that 2 years the chair has been a lifesaver for me. No problems as so many others have complained about, but I just got a flat tire, and here's were my headaches start. When the guy delivered my chair, he told me that they would service the chair for as long as I owned it, GREAT! Now I need service, so I call them and the customer service guy tells me "we don't send a repairman out to fix flats, there time is too valuable, but they will sell me a new tire and I can fix it myself!" That would be okay except I cannot walk (which is why I have the chair) so why can't they do what they promised to do?
So now I have to wait for the wheel & tire to come from Florida, then I have to find someone to come to my house to fix the chair. If they didn't lie to me in the beginning, I wouldn't be upset! So beware! You may have to do your own repairs on your chair!
DON'T LIE TO YOUR CUSTOMERS... IT'S NOT GOOD BUSINESS
Very well informed on their product. Had all the answers to all my questions. The hoveround is going to change my life. So excited about her to g mine.
Could not ask for a better group of caring people from sales to support to service, a wonderful experience. They did what they said they would do and in a timely and caring manner.
My mom is 80 years old. They gave us the run around. I will never use them and I will never recommend them. Shame on them for treating a 80 year old like this.
I Love My New Hoveround. It will be very helpful for my daily projects i have to do. I want to Thank Hoveround for the quality of service you gave me.
When I saw Hoveround on TV for the first time a few years ago I knew it was a chair I wanted, and I hope to continue to use it a few more years, I hope God continue to make a Hoveround is the best chairs out there
My elder mother called Hoverround and ordered a chair based on TV advertisements promising mobility and freedom. The chair was problematic from day one -- a lemon. Within the first three years, the chair was out of service more than in service waiting on parts or installation of unavailable parts. Service was agonizingly slow. The chair was never fit to my mom -- she was a danger to herself and to others. She was large and when seated in the chair it was top-heavy. The turning wheels in the back, combined with the joystick to steer and propel it was a very scary thing. When she was on a sidewalk that slanted or was narrow she was at risk for losing control and tipping over. In the elevator car she ran over others feet (mine) and crushed my daughter against the wall as she tried to turn herself around because the chair turns from the rear which is unnatural unless you are in a boat. What a stupid design for a chair that will be driven by someone who is already challenged. I felt like I had no recourse once the chair was delivered. DO NOT BUY A HOVERROUND. This chair gets a negative 100 $tars.
My father has a jazzy pride -- now there is a chair to trust.
We had to fight Hoveround for nearly 5 months to get this wheelchair for our daughter. She has a primary and secondary insurance. Although Hoveround participated with both, they told us they would not send us the chair out of fear that the secondary insurance would not pay them. When we offered to pay the balance of the chair ourselves, they said they couldn't do that because - wait for it! - our daughter has secondary insurance, which legally prevented them from accepting our half of the payment! They told us we couldn't get a wheelchair! I fought and fought. We're talking about a wheelchair for our CHILD. Finally, in month five, and only because I thought of suggesting that they send the same approval papers to the secondary insurance company which are normally only submitted to the primary insurance company did Hoveround accept the paperwork and send the chair. Our daughter was without a chair for FIVE MONTHS for a process that should have taken less than ONE MONTH. We are happy with the chair, but not with the company. If you have another option besides this company, take it!
Your insurance agent said I had to get a power wheel chair when United Health Care said if Dr. Ordered Scooter then I qualify. Very rude Representive for Hoveround.
Walter, we are sorry to hear that you did not have a more positive experience with us at Hoveround. We value your feedback and always strive for improvement. Please contact us at 941-800-5180 and we’ll be happy to address your concerns.
People were nice and knew what they were doing. Very nice to talk to. But I was told my insurance did work with your company after I did what they ask. After I had my physical. A waste of my time.
The customer service was good. My Rep took the time to call my Dr office to make my mobile appointment. She gave me details for what to look for next.
I love my chair And want to say thank you to the hoveround team for being so helpful. And showing me how to use my chair. I would recommend you guys to whoever needs a chair.
I decided to call Hoveround again. The nice lady at Hoveround sent me papers to be filled out by the doctor and then the doctor mailed them to Hoveround, which this was on Feb. 12,2020 when they were filled out and mailed. On Feb. 14,2020 I received a phone call but I couldn't get to in time but thankfully the caller left a message. The lady said, "Dolores Williams we need to get in touch with you to set a time and date when to bring your power chair." I was shocked and at first I thought it was a prank. I was elated, I am actually going to go in stores that I haven't been to in almost three years. On Feb, 25 2020 a man named Dani brought me my chair all the way from Memphis Tn. And took his time to explain everything I needed to know. I was impressed how much he was able to answer all the questions I had for him. He was well dressed, Then it was time to get in the driver's seat and as far as I can tell from his remarks I did very well on my first try.
Thank you so very much
Dolores Williams,
Called to help Medicare beneficiary with wheelchair. Staff is very rude and unwilling to help. Trying to collect wheelchair instead of billing insurance.
It's too early in the process. I'll do another review when the power chair arrives, I don't have a hundred characters to enter. Like I said I'll do another review when I have more to say.
I just want a scooter so I can enjoy lie a little bit better being a paraplegic is hail it this anything that you can do you get me this scooter please do so thank you
I have been trying to get a chair for over a month. I am told they are following insurance requirements. I have been in a chair since 98' I have never had to wait this long.
Jim was very helpful in explaining how to use my power chair. He also was very professional. The insurance representative was very professional as well.
The gentleman was very professional and was very informative on how to operate the hover round. He also adjusted the seat and arms on the hover around. The guy was class act!
Answer: So sorry to hear that. I am no longer living with my father-in-law, but I can add to my earlier review and comments. The company did exactly the same thing to him, again. A year later. They got in touch to say that Medicare had accepted their appeal and that the chair was now finally his, and they sent a guy round with the paperwork for signature and everything looked great. It subsequently turned out that Medicare hadn't approved anything and didn't know anything at all about the appeal, and that they were not going to pay. The story that Hoveround gave me was smoke and mirrors and back came the bill for the chair again. As far as I know, a year and a half on, the chair is still not officially his. I probably won't hear anything more about it now, but I'm quite glad I don't have to deal with these people yet again.
