I had my Dr. Apt. Set for two and a half weeks and still I got call after call from your company about making the Dr. Apt. To have the mobility exam even though your Rep was on the phone when the Dr. Apt. Was made! Your company has also been NO HELP with getting batteries for my old chair, I have tried for two months to get them so I don't run out of power going to the store before I get the new chair. When the Doctor sent the prescription for the batteries You called to tell me I needed the mobility exam again both times the prescriptions for the batteries were sent and still I have No Batteries. This company was Great before, this is my fourth chair, what is going on now! I don't know what has changed to make this so confusing but I wish you would fix the problem a become the you were before.

The experience was fast and positive. The product was delivered ahead of schedule and is was everything we expected. The only problem was not everybody at Hoveround were on the same page. I was taking care of this for my 91 year old mother, everything was taken care of but someone from Hoveround kept sending my mother letters saying that they have been trying to call her but could not reach her and unless they here from her they would not get her a chair. This gave my mom some unnecessary worries and doubts that I had it taken care of.
It was an outstanding experience from the initial call down to the delivery and set up. Steve came out and answered all our questions, set the chair up to my sister's comfort, explained the "rental" to buy process for Medicare, and made sure we understood the service process and who to call with any issues.
I have submitted report after report to Hover-run-around with no success. My primary care doctor does not do the mobility exams so she sent me to a physical therapist for that testing. Your reps wouldn't accept that, and kept saying that a physical therapy evaluation wasn't acceptable, regardless of how I tried to explain that it was the mobility exam. I contacted another supplier today, and they have already made more progress. They are already contacting my insurance for coverage details.
Talking to the agent was so helpful. She walked me through the application and insurance paperwork. She put me on hold to set up my doctor appointment and came back to me in a timely manner. I can't wait to get my chair.
Do buy or believe anything Hoveround tells you. My chair control box broke off6 weeks ago this week called them 4 times wrote the president of Hoveround a letter and my insurance company contacted them and never even got a return phone call. Nice company aren't they lied to me about everything think about what they can do for you
I called to find out how I could get a power chair and try to get Medicare to pick up at least part of the cost as I have to have a wheelchair and have had a power chair for years which is very old and needs to be replaced. Though your representative was very courteous, professional and knowledgeable, I was very disappointed that I was unable to get the chair. Too bad you don't offer some kind of a payment plan for people like me who want to remain independent and have the mobility that your chairs offer, but are unable to afford one on our own. Very satisfied with product, process, and delivery! Ordered easily, got Doctor to complete necessary paperwork, and chair was delivered to my door. My daily legs from bed to daily tasks and back to bed again. Great service and I recommend Hoveround to anyone that qualifies!
I love my new hoveround chair after having a few obstacles due to my moving to another city I was finally able to replace my old chair for this new one, the gentleman that delivered it was very professional and knowledgeable was quick and courteous
My dr ordered a power chair but because i am able to take 3 steps with difficulty to my bathroom with my walker i was denied i fractured my vertibre and have a difficult time walking. I have a caretaker for 2 hours per day the remaining time i am here alone. A power chair would have given me the ability to move around. I will stay in bed rather than ask for a chair. Hoveround wont answer my concerns. I have reported them to medicare. Do not use this company
He explained what I had to do. We talked while he was assembling it. Was all round nice person. He had to carry it up 10 stairs and he did it with out complaining. But was tired after and kept on working. And when he left we said Merry Christmas to each other.
Delivered when promised. Gentleman was very courteous and patient explaining every thing.

I have a Hoveround that literally collects dust. After several times using it I had to stop. When riding it on the sidewalks, the slightest bump gave me severe back pains. The Hoveround Has No Way of obsorbing Any shock. What I don't understand is; Why does the Government approve a product like this. Whoever designed this product certainly did not have safety and compfort in mind. For those of you intending to buy this product I warn you---DONT

Alan was ver patient with my grandma. Very kind and professional. He took his time explaining how the chair was operated and charged... also the operators made sure I was informed through every step of the process. I was not comfortable with all the confusion during the several contacts and your limits on bringing my P.T. And your insistance on having an app't with my doctor. That has never been asked of her before! My medical advisors recommend cancelling this app't.

It seems like everything medical anymore you have to jump through hoops for. Yet they did all the work and getting everything together. Then once it was approved they brought it here, showed me how to charge and work it. The only thing I did was make a dr.'s appt. To verify I needed one. I luv the smaller size and how cushioned the seat is. It even has a safety belt.

Answer: So sorry to hear that. I am no longer living with my father-in-law, but I can add to my earlier review and comments. The company did exactly the same thing to him, again. A year later. They got in touch to say that Medicare had accepted their appeal and that the chair was now finally his, and they sent a guy round with the paperwork for signature and everything looked great. It subsequently turned out that Medicare hadn't approved anything and didn't know anything at all about the appeal, and that they were not going to pay. The story that Hoveround gave me was smoke and mirrors and back came the bill for the chair again. As far as I know, a year and a half on, the chair is still not officially his. I probably won't hear anything more about it now, but I'm quite glad I don't have to deal with these people yet again.

Answer: Yes, if doctor can prove medically necessary. Doctor must make file notes to support and you must have an office visit that only addresses the need for your chair.
