We ordered a washer/dryer combo unit that was supposed to be delivered between Oct 12-15. Still "in processing" and it is Oct. 21 now. Cannot get anybody from the company to answer the phone, not even the customer service number. $1400. It's hard for me to believe a company is this unprofessional. I've left a couple of voicemails now and no call back.

Houzz is a horrible company. They misrepresent the status of items listed on their website, misleading customers to believe they are in stock. Only after multiple emails to Houzz to find out the status will the customer find out the item they were led to believe was in stock is actually backordered. And when you try to cancel the order (because you purchased a in stock item, not a backordered item), Houzz won't let you. They will charge your card anyway. If and when you eventually do receive the item, Houzz will charge you $11.75 to return the now unwanted item. Thus, they will unilaterally change the original purchase agreement without giving you the opportunity to opt out free of charge. So not only are they misleading customers, but they are amending a purchase contract to satisfy their needs without consideration for the customer. They will try to blame the merchant even though the customer places the order with Houzz and Houzz charges your card. This company is beyond shady. I don't think the word scam even begins to describe what kind of company this is. My advice to everyone is to steer clear of Houzz. You do not need to get mixed up with this kind of messed up company.

Just days outside return policy due to extreme health issues ( disable senior) they would not help AT ALL after the chair they sent arrived broken. The box wasn't damaged so it would appear the packer damaged it. Now I'm out $230.00. DONT SHOP HERE

My sit-stand desk arrived with only the desktop. No legs, feet, raise/Lower mechanism or hardware. It's been 28 days and multiple escalations and Houzz still won't respond. $500 down the drain. Time to file a Bette Business Bureau complaint.

I ordered Buckingham 3-Light Billiard Lamp. They were packaged professionally, delivered really quickly and on the date quoted. Other websites that I checked had a 2-4 week back long for the same items. So far I'm impressed and recommend this Houzz company!
I received defective items. Houzz is giving me the runaround and will not send an RMA so I can return them. I finally got an employee to admit today that they are waiting on the manufacturer to allow the return, which is plainly NOT Houzz's return policy. Do not purchase from here unless you're willing to be at the whim of individual manufacturers whose policies you will not know.

We signed up for the Pro ultimate program they offered in 2020. They claimed we were getting 99% of the lead coming in from an area of over 2 million. Only 26 leads presented in the year period. So in internet term that is about $150 per click. Horrible waste of money. To add injury to insult they continue to charge me each month even tough I have told them to cancel my subscription. With no response from them and no way to cancel from their system I am left paying for months. Avoid Houzz and predatory companies like them

Buyer beware! I ordered two bathroom vanities from Houzz and both arrived damaged and the finish was very poor quality with pores showing through all over. After contacting them, they only acted as a middleman between myself and the manufacturer, who required that I repackage the vanities in the same packaging or new packaging in the same way they arrived for shipping 3,000 miles away. Impossible! It took a month of correspondence to even get that far. Then they had the gall to offer me a third of the cost and a repair kit, and suggested I sell them to recoup more of my cost. Never will I ever order from them again! Beware!

Answer: Good question Maggie. I don't think there is. I think this site is just there to help their vendor and not assist consumers in making informed decisions. I found had a contractor who had defrauded us and changed his business name on Houzz. I posted a review on his profile notifying the public of what he had done to us, and Houzz did not publish the review. I joined Sitejabber to warn the public about Houzz.
Answer: I began as a Pro on Houzz and spent $2000 on Advertising. This was supposedly for a year of top exposure. No one purchased, the couple of calls I received were people wanting to USE my service for ideas. I have since discontinued complimentary initial appointments. These people are the biggest scammers in the world! I'm still one of the Pros just to see if anything bites but I noticed they go into vendors photos and try to find similar product then they sell their products. Great way to sway your client and to steal customers!

Answer: The Pros, at least at the beginning, were not in competition with this company (Houzz). They convinced the "Designer" world that the were strictly collecting ideas for the public and to help improve the vendors chances of being hired. Those reviews on the Pros are about the Pros, they come from their clients. About 2-3 years ago, Houzz began selling out from under all the vendors! They are SO low they have gone into the photos of the pros, look for a product they have that might be similar to something they sell and lead them away from the pro. The 1-2 stars you see here are the reviews for "Houzz" and their service but the reviews under a Pro are for that Pro. Don't be fooled... If you want the job done right, call the Pro! Listen to these reviews of Houzz and you won't get burned. Two different animals completely!

The advertising doesn't work, and although they originally started up as a company that would work alongside the vendors, they are now selling out from under most of them, especially the interiors decorators! They are SO low they have actually tagged products inside some of the photos of interior designers and tabbed out similar products to stay the customer away from the Pro and to purchase through them directly!
