The company's reputation is mixed, with notable strengths in product quality and delivery efficiency, as many customers express satisfaction with their purchases and the overall aesthetic appeal of items. However, significant concerns arise regarding customer service, particularly in handling issues related to delivery options, billing disputes, and product defects. Customers frequently report difficulties in reaching support and receiving timely resolutions, leading to frustration. While some patrons appreciate the extensive product selection and smooth purchasing experience, the inconsistency in service responsiveness and problem resolution highlights areas for improvement in their customer service approach.

I found a sconce I had been looking for on Shop Houzz, to match one I already had. More than a month after I ordered, and after contacting Houzz to follow up with the seller, I received the wrong item. Houzz said that I didn't need to return it, they would re-order the correct item, and I should just donate the one I received. Which I did. I then received notification that the re-order was cancelled, and that I needed to return the incorrect item in order to get a refund. Many emails to Houzz later (they never responded to ANY) the only way I received my refund was to file a Better Business Bureau complaint. Terrible experience!
Please, do not buy any good in this site, I bought a furniture on May 11,2022 to be delivered between May, 16 and May 20. They haven`t delivered yet, and they don`t have any idea when they will do it. I`ve been contacting them for a week and I only receive evasive responses and they are trying to convince me to cancel the purchase, so they don`t have to take care of what is happening. The worst thing is that they are still selling this product, knowing that they can not deliver it. I had an event last weekend and I could not count on this furniture.

My husband and I ordered a bed from houzz in January and when it finally arrived in April the box was beyond damaged and the main support piece to the headboard was broken. The delivery was dated while in transit with no updates available and then it just arrived 3- days later with no delivery notification and the box severely damaged. We immediately contacted houzz customer service with photos of the damaged box that was delivered and the part of the bed that was damaged and broken and here we are- 5 weeks later, the bed is still in the box in my dining room not usable and no resolution from houzz. We have been told each time we call that they are waiting to hear back from the vendor on a resolution and that there is no one to escate this to however 5 weeks is beyond a reasonable time frame to provide a resolution. The icing on top is that i am also pregnant with no bed to sleep on because its been in a box broken since it arrived. This was our first time purchasing from houzz and we were hopeful to purchase additional items because the buying process was easy and the shipping time was decent however given our current experience I don't trust houzz.

The order specifically states transparent chair leg covers, and we received white. They claim that silicone doesn't come transparent, but that is what they stated on their order form. They are stating that I must return the product to China. Their office is in Palo Alto, Ca.

Houzz is a great service for professional designers as well as those who want to redecorate their homes. You can search for design ideas, shop for furniture and find professionals for your design ideas there. I've ordered a set of lamps for my dining room from Houzz website. I'm very satisfied with the quality, but the delivery took about 5 weeks, which is a bit too long. Keep it in mind when ordering from there that the delivery will take some time, but it is a common issue when ordering furniture.
DO NOT BELIEVE THE REVIEWS ON HOUZZ
My negative review of Resistance Swim Spa who sell steel swimming pools keeping being taken down.
Customers are spending tens of thousands of pounds with this company and need to be aware of the issues we have faced with them before the spend their life saving with them.
I purchased a swim spa from Resistance Swim Spa soley based on the 5 star reviews published on HOUZZ.
My experience with them has been nothing short of horrendous and HOUZZ have not come back to me to explain why my negative review keeps being taken down.
In 2019 I purchased a swim spa, years on and endless calls/emails we have been left in a terrible state with a pool that leaks, equipment that doesn't work, not enough circulation in the pool resulting in green algee and no way to filter the water and after spending almost £50k we still cannot use this pool as it is not fit for purpose.
I tried to post pictures to show the shocking state we have been left in but my posts keeps being taken down and our only recourse now is legal action.
Please do not base any purchase on the reviews on HOUZZ.

Did you select something on Houzz website?
Are you going to pay for your purchase? Stop!
No need to rush!
This is not a company you can trust!
I bought a kitchen sink from them for $450, a very nice floor lamp for $150. Left great reviews. Even was honored with 2 coupons for $30. AND...
An expensive $1,300 medical cabinet bought on Houzz turned out to be defective and some parts were missing. I didn't have the opportunity to open the box with the cabinet as soon as I received it due to renovations in the apartment.
But based on my very good experience with Houzz, I didn't doubt for a second that the cabinet was in order!
Deeply mistaken!
Yes, it's been over a month since I bought it. But I had good circumstances! And I've already been a great customer for Houzz!
I demanded to replace one broken door and send missing parts.
Received a categorical refusal!
Especially by manager named Sarach.
$1300! Completely useless cabinet!
If you want to lose your money, be sure to buy items from Houzz!

I've used them all, And HOUZZ pro is truly a product made with the Contractor in mind. Not only that but the consumer side, offers seamless communication and collaboration with your customers. GREAT PRODUCT.
I purchased a table which before I received it I found something I liked much better. I worked with Houzz to get an RMA to return the unopened tabled. I had returned within the week of when received the RMA and 7 weeks later I am still fighting to have the original payment returned. I had provided shipping confirmation that it was returned and received. Which initially they claimed it was not received until I provided them with the receipt info from the carrier, even though they had the tracking number. It is a VERY FRUSTRATING experience and I doubt I will ever use Houzz again based on this experience.
Hi,
Thank you for reaching out. We are sorry to hear of your experience. We have reached out privately using the email that is associated with your Houzz account.

Like many others on this website I enrolled in their pro services on 2020. The renewal and cancellation terms were misleading and unclear. California Consumer law section ******* requires that certain things occur but they do not abide by them. I dont have enough space to include the full details but some of them say it is unlawful for a business to *******(3) Fail to provide an acknowledgment that includes the automatic renewal offer terms or continuous service offer terms, cancellation policy, and information regarding how to cancel in a manner that is capable of being retained by the consumer. Or *******(1) Fail to present the automatic renewal offer terms or continuous service offer terms in a clear and conspicuous manner...
Clear and conspicuous has a clear definition which is not met by HOUZZ.
They are trying to bill me for renewal but I cannot cancel or change my subscription. It seems to me that Houzz is taking advantage of contractors through unclear and misleading terms and conditions.

Ordered a front door that cost, with tax cost, $2,980.31. It came missing 3 hinges, the front top brick molding, and the top inside casing. I informed Houzz and because they were informed 2 weeks past the 30 day return policy they said I would have to pay for the missing parts, an additional $425 + tax =$460. The door is stained mahogany but it is not actual mahogany. Thankfully, Homepot came through and cost for missing parts under $100.

We are a mid size residential and commercial glass shop. We specialize in high end work. Shower doors, mirrors, window repairs etc. We are located in a fairly small market. Not tiny, but not a major city either. This market is very "tech savvy", located conveniently right between Silicone Valley and Seattle, there is a terrific percentage of the population working from home, thus they are online a lot.
About 5 months ago, our company made the decision to move our marketing to Houzz from HomeAdvisor because of the seemingly large percentage of poor leads we were getting from HA. We paid in full for the year, with promises that they had "a large number of high end homeowners looking for professionals like us" and would start connecting us with them as soon as our payment cleared and we completed our profile. We uploaded numerous photos, wrote descriptions of the work we do, followed all their advise. Even gave them names of past customers for them to gather reviews...
Well as of today, we have not had one single lead from Houzz. Not one.
We have asked for compensation, perhaps a refund, or even partial refund, because it is obvious we were lied to. Houzz has no homeowner/clients looking for our services in this region. If I could give negative or no stars, I would. $1600 spent for ZERO RESULTS!
Contractors, DO NOT SIGN UP WITH HOUZZ

I ordered a faucet from Houzz and they were not the ones sending it. It was a company called AffordableVariety.com. They have a terrible policy that you cannot return or get a refund for a defective product if you don't tell them within 3 days of getting it. I purchased my faucet over the holidays and didn't even get a plumber over until mid January. It worked 6 weeks. Neither Houzz nor this fly by night company AffordableVariety will stand behind it. I am just out the money. I saved the condescending and rude email from Affordable for the BBB who has a number of complaints on Houzz as well.
Hi,
We are sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with your experience ordering from this seller and we appreciate your feedback. Houzz provides a storefront for sellers who sell their products through our website in addition to products sold by Houzz. The policies for shipping, returns, and damages, are set by the individual sellers and can vary. For each product on Houzz, you can view the return and damage policies under Seller and Shipping Information.

Promptly received two pillows and found them to be a bit off on color once in our home and while the return was approved, we had to pay the shipping... not cool with all of the options to order from that don't charge for shipping.

Ordered a very expensive set of outdoor Bluetooth speakers to enjoy on my deck. The first warm day I unpacked the speakers and started to listen to them. One of the speakers was very distorted and the other sounded fine. I contacted customer service and was told that I had purchased 45 days ago and that I needed to send pictures of defective product? I explained that I had just opened and they were defective out of the box. I sent the picture they wanted. Now I get an email saying that they want a video.
I have a feeling that I am screwed. The speakers are packed up for return so I guess now I will unpack and send the video.
Wish me luck.
Hi Mike,
We are sorry to hear that your speaker is experiencing issues. We currently have an open support case where we are working with the manufacturer to determine if this is covered under warranty. Our team will continue to keep you updated as soon as we are able.

Anthony tiled our Bathroom and Kitchen recently and we couldn't be happier with the results. He helped us with design advice and colors. We are always getting compliments on his work. We won't hesitate to use Anthony again very professional and clean!
I decided to try Houzz Pro for our business. I wasn't nervous about giving my credit card info at the time I signed up because there supposedly is a 30 day free, no risk trial. Boy was I wrong! After 5 days, it was determined that it was not a good fit for our company so I called to cancel. I was told they could not cancel it and had already charged my account for the entire year. Then I left a negative feedback on their system and was contacted by another person. He led me to believe that he could handle the credit card charge reversal. All he did was pick my brain on how Houzz Pro could be improved and then offered me a $100 credit. He also said there was no way to return the monies.
I then went to my credit card account and found they had charged me again for the entire amount. It has been nothing buy a hassle and now I'm out almost $2800 for my "Free Trial". BEWARE!
Hi there,

Trying to reach customer service by phone is impossible. Or nearly. They want to you text them... and when you engage in texting no one gives you their name. I had to ask if I was dealing with a robot or a real human. I was shipped the wrong item... well actually the right item but the wrong size... I had to take photos of the item. Which I did with a real yardstick. And, they argued with me that the size was correct, if I measured from the seams. When one orders seat cushions that are 20" x 21" we expect them to be that size... not 19" x 19 1/2" and then told to measure from the seams. These people are the worst I have ever encountered in online retailing. And, then to add insult to injury, they wanted ME to pay $16 to return the wrong sized cushions.!

I signed up for Houzz pro because I wanted to make some 3D floor plans and just a few quick designs based on drawings that I had already made. For those that have an actual business, this review probably won't apply to you(completely). However, I got Houzz, and I made my 3D floor plans perfectly but the 3D rooms are limited to only houzz products which is kind of ridiculous because you aren't able to make plans that actually look good when you are limited to those furniture options. Outside of that, I am writing this review because of the cancelation process. It is $60 a month to use Houzz pro. In my original email with my free trial details, there was a link that said click here to edit subscription details. 20 days into my trial comes around, I press the link and it says "this page does not exist". So I called the customer support line 4 times, and they did not answer even though it was during business hours. I wrote 3 messages to their customer support email. I heard nothing back. Once I finally did have a response they told me they would look into canceling my subscription and then hung up. On their website, there is no place to press cancel my free trial or remove payment details. The free trial end date comes around, and even though I deleted my profile and called customer support I was billed $60.3 more phone calls, no refund, and two weeks later my account is finally canceled. Ridiculous.
Answer: Good question Maggie. I don't think there is. I think this site is just there to help their vendor and not assist consumers in making informed decisions. I found had a contractor who had defrauded us and changed his business name on Houzz. I posted a review on his profile notifying the public of what he had done to us, and Houzz did not publish the review. I joined Sitejabber to warn the public about Houzz.
Answer: I began as a Pro on Houzz and spent $2000 on Advertising. This was supposedly for a year of top exposure. No one purchased, the couple of calls I received were people wanting to USE my service for ideas. I have since discontinued complimentary initial appointments. These people are the biggest scammers in the world! I'm still one of the Pros just to see if anything bites but I noticed they go into vendors photos and try to find similar product then they sell their products. Great way to sway your client and to steal customers!
Answer: Go straight to the top at Houzz. Ms. Adi Tatarko, CEO, Alon Cohen, Pres. If tha doesn't work, I suggest you file complaint with the Consumer Affairs Division of the California Attorney General's Office.
Answer: The Pros, at least at the beginning, were not in competition with this company (Houzz). They convinced the "Designer" world that the were strictly collecting ideas for the public and to help improve the vendors chances of being hired. Those reviews on the Pros are about the Pros, they come from their clients. About 2-3 years ago, Houzz began selling out from under all the vendors! They are SO low they have gone into the photos of the pros, look for a product they have that might be similar to something they sell and lead them away from the pro. The 1-2 stars you see here are the reviews for "Houzz" and their service but the reviews under a Pro are for that Pro. Don't be fooled... If you want the job done right, call the Pro! Listen to these reviews of Houzz and you won't get burned. Two different animals completely!
Answer: Steer clear. The advertising doesn't work, and although they originally started up as a company that would work alongside the vendors, they are now selling out from under most of them, especially the interiors decorators! They are SO low they have actually tagged products inside some of the photos of interior designers and tabbed out similar products to stay the customer away from the Pro and to purchase through them directly!
Answer: Do yourself a huge favor and find it somewhere else. Houzz contracts with third party sellers and their freight companies, they're just a middle man. What a nightmare this has been.
