Would give five stars but my ticket price dropped (prior to COVID-19) almost 400 and I haven't seen or heard of any price guarantee credits.
This app is great for monitoring flight prices but not so great for adding a required tip at checkout. I could of paid the same price for the flight on another :Ed party site without paying a tip.
A few weeks ago I purchased a price freeze for a flight I knew I was going to buy no matter what. I needed to contact a few friends to make sure everyone was ok with the details so the freeze option was perfect for me. Pay a small fee up front to keep the price where it is and get reimbursed when I booked? Sure. During the few days it took me to decide to purchase my flight, the flight had actually sold out and increased by $100 per person. I contacted Hopper support panicking that my freeze would expire and I wouldn't get refunded. Even though they were swamped with customers needing assistance with flight cancelations due to the rising number of travel restrictions, they were still able to accommodate me. Although I ultimately had to purchase a different flight, and this time one with a layover, Hopper kept its word and refunded me my price freeze deposit AND the difference in price between the one I froze and the one I purchased. In the end, I ended up with a worse flight and spent more than I would've originally in taxes/fees, but they were able to assist in a crazy time and refunded me the money I was owed. Reliable site with real customer service and always super accurate with price predictions. Next time though, I may purchase in the moment I see the best price and skip the freeze option.
My fiancé and I are getting married in Mexico later this year so we have used Hopper to watch flights for the last month or so. The prices dropped quite low and we put a price freeze on, making a $40pp deposit. 5 days later the price had increased almost $100 per person! You have to pay the full price up front then you are refunded the difference via PayPal and the deposit is refunded to your credit card. Happy we saved money! Would like the option to view business class/upgraded fares.
Until recently the app worked great on my iPhone & iPad both with the current iOS & app update. For a couple of weeks my iPad gets a server error & is unable to access the app but on my iPhone it works normally. Uninstalled & reinstalled the app...still unable to access the app. Was unable to contact App Support & have the latest app update...not working on my iPad Mini 5th Generation.
I had the best customer service with this app! Thank you for everything!
I highly recommend getting a customer service line! The articles don't answer or resolve all issues. It's frustrating. Please add a contact number to your site.

Whenever a trip is being planned hopper is always how I find the best deals.
Recently I paid for the price freeze. When I went to book the flight the price freeze stopped going through and my flight was up $200. What was the point then?
The more frustrating part is that it is very difficult to get in touch with hopper. No phone number, and nobody to talk to on the app at the time.
So all in all, a really good app but a little more interaction with the people at hopper would be very helpful.
I would book through normal airplane apps like the originals a spirit JetBlue ect. Everytime u book with hopper THERES ALWAYS A Savings!!!!

Answer: File a claim with your bank. They charged me An additional 2 nights after hopper said they would refund my money. Instead they went without my consent n charged me an additional 2 nights. I was robbed for a total of 3 nights. Without being able to contact any support. A total Scam!
Answer: No they are about polar opposite of trustworthy. Run don't walk away from this company. My lesson cost $1435 dollars. If you require customer service look elsewhere they have none. Not even a phone number which is the first red flag.
