Car rental in Spain

Advertised car rental price of $454.86. Charged at time of booking $296.01 with a balance due at rental shop of $160.52. Get to the rental they charge an additional 474.86 not the understood $160.52. Come home and start a claim - no way to call have to speak over chat - had to follow up 2x before getting any answer. Finally told that I am bound by what the rental agreement says and car rental agencies charge additional fees - $314.34! This app is garbage - what I got for using this app was to pay more than what I understood at time of purchase. They know this and do not advise the consumer. Hopper give me back my $314.34. I have been scammed by you.

Tried to use price freeze
November 12, 2022

I tried to use price freeze, they wanted 80 bucks, i paid it they sent me a email receipt that clearly states i had until 11/11/22 till 11:59 pm on the 11th. To use the freeze for my reservation i paid for it on the 10th. I open the app to go use it at 130pm on the 11th an the app expired it. My email receipt states i had like 10 more hours yo use it. But app cancelled it before i could. It took customer service 24,hrs to respond so i had to last minute get a hotel thru another more reliable app. An pay full price. Ive been emailing back an forth all day today the 12th wanting a refund for services i never got a chance to use, do to their app cancelling my freeze. Not my fault. They stated they can only give me a voucher thatll last only 24 hrs then itll be void. Sorry thats bull$#*! i paid for services that i never got a chance to use. Ill never use this app again, company is a scam an they will take money an cancel service an not look to fix it, they act as if i did something wrong, or made the mistake. They clearly could give a rats $#*! about correcting their mistakes long as they keep taking your money. Horrible app worse customer service even worse product or service solutions offered because of their own mistakes.

DO NOT USE THIS APP

This app is fraudulent. They have policies they don't even follow. I made a reservation and had my hotel deposit like it states in the policy. Got to the hotel the hotel canceled my reservation because they don't accept the cash deposit that the app states I needed. I was told to contact hopper for the issue. It took hours to get a response and hopper refused to refund my money even though I followed their policy. The hotel and this app robbed me for my money with no resolution. DO NOT BOOK THROUGH HOPPER

Do not book with Hopper!

Terrible app! Book with the airlines or hotels directly!
They say things are included such as bags and seats, but then your booking comes back as the most basic fare (even if you pay to upgrade) which includes nothing, and a more restrictive fare - and they don't care. They won't cover anything, and basically say too bad. Do yourself a favor and avoid this app.

Bad App stay away
November 9, 2022

This is a very untrust worthy app to deal with they charged my debt card double the amount it was supposed to have been charged. I called and spoke with numerious people and they gave me the run around to call this number and that number along with sending you to a site to send messages. Another farse. They wouldn't refund my over charged funds of $74.00 and this was stated by a person name Jaylord E. STAY AWAY FROM YHIS SITE THERE FRAUDS AND DELETE THERE APPS ASAP.! 11/09/2022

The worst possible hotel booking experience.

DO NOT USE HOPPER - AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

I organised a 'Price Freeze' for a room in Tokyo in January next year. What they don't tell you is that this does absolutely nothing for giving you a better price and also does not reserve the hotel you book. When I went to confirm my room on the day my price freeze ended the hotel had sold out, I lost my room and the support centre was unbelievably unhelpful. I lodged a request with them and the nature of the support was 'restart the app' and 'update the app.' After about 24 hours they notified me that my room was unavailable, and I could book another. They agreed to give my deposit back only as a hopper voucher, and the voucher EXPIRED ON THE SAME DAY. Meaning I had approx 12 hours to amend my booking with whatever I could find, or forfeit my deposit.

AVOID this service at all costs, it is pretty much a scam to get you to lose money by freezing the price. They intentionally delay you and give you bad service so that you have no choice but to be left with a $#*! deal, for more money and use their app.

I paid 46.00 for delayed/cancelation protection and when I followed the Hopper instructions to quickly rebook on next flight out, this is the response I received. Yet missed opportunity to have hopper rebook my flight same day that evening, added expense hotel stay, shuttle fee, meals dinner & next day breakfast, well then of course the airline booking me in next flight convenient for them( next day flight- 24 hour delay added to my trip)Best not add all the extra fees, as well as no live person to speak with..

Bad experience
November 2, 2022

I booked a room on hopper it recommended that I freeze the price so it charged my card $21 then it ask me to go a head and book the room. It still charged my card for the regular price of the room. So instead of paying just the fee for the room they also charge me a extra 21.00. I recommend not to use them they don't even have customer service unless you p[ay for customer service. My first and last time using this app.

I will never use this site again. I was issued a refund from the airlines back on 8/9 due to a canceled flight and have been tyring to reach Hopper to no avail. You have to go through the site but than no one gets back to you. When you call you are sent in circles and again its expressed to go through their app. Total rip off.

Hopper Sucks

I tried booking my flight through Hopper but got an error and was instructed by their FAQ to try again in a few minutes. I did this and now I have two of the same bookings and when I try to cancel through the app, it says nonrefundable.

Then, when I try to contact customer service, they want $43 for you to even have that capability. It's ridiculous. Anyways, after paying the $43, I still have not been able to get my money back. Save the trouble and just pay extra to book directly with the airlines, Hopper is a scam.

Scaming company

I booked a suite through hopper. When I arrived to the hotel I was given a standard room. When I confronted the hotel about this, they said hopper never sent over that the reservation was for a suite but sent over the reservation was for a standard room. The hotel was nothing like what was pictured or described on hopper.

After being charged already for the suite, I attempted to contact hopper. They have a customer service number that does not work. You can only contact them through app and they respond when they want to. Once I finally got someone to respond in the chat, they didn't even acknowledge their mistake but offered me a $49 refund claiming that was the difference in price. This was untrue and the prices listed on the hotel official website were substantially cheaper than what hopper was offering. Even after showing them proof, they still did not adjust the refund. They suggested they could cancel the already paid reservation and have me pay directly to the hotel. They made no mention of refunding what I had originally paid before suggesting this either. I asked to speak with a manager, I am still waiting for someone to contact me.

Scam/ Fraudulent

I downloaded the app for the first time trying to see what it was about. The app is like a spam app consistently popping up screens to get you to pay for add on services. As I was working on my booking it gave me the option to freeze the price stating that I could book and save money. The transaction didnt go through the way advertised. I ended up booking without the freeze and paid full price for my hotel plus a $240 deposit fee they charged for freezing the price that they refused to refund. I contacted customer support and they stated they wouldn't refund die to their policy. However this all happened within a 48 hour window or so. I paid for a sevice that I did not recieve. They were able to see both booking had same dates and same hotel yet refused to refund me.

Could be better

I was a new user who selected the Prize Freeze and booked the same hotel within the app minutes after using the freeze thinking this was valid for the same price freeze. As a new user, I had difficulty navigating the app and finding where the tab was for the Prize Freeze. I was charged the almost 40 dollars for the freeze plus the full price for the hotel and spent a considerable amount of time trying to get customer support to help me solve this as I booked the same hotel minutes after through the same app; they decided not to refund the 40 dollars. This could had been easily solved on their part as they could see what happened. I would rather choose a company that places more value on keeping customers and has more empathy rather than sticking to rigid policies.

I booked a round trip from Toronto, ON to Halifax, NS in September and had to change my flight dates due to work. I rescheduled my flight but this was not relayed to the Airline, instead I had two bookings with the Airlines. When I went to purchase add-ons (luggage and seat) I purchased it under the wrong booking code. I realize I should have paid more attention to the code I was using but I was under the impression I would not have access to the initial booking code. It has now been over a month and nothing has been done to resolve the fact that I am now out $186 because my initial booking was not cancelled. If you decide to book through hopper make sure you don't need to change flights.

Fix app!

I booked hotel but your app would not let me complete transaction when I refused 9.00 dollar VIP. So I had to take the 9.00 VIP, That I was sure I did not need, since I was in the hotel lobby when booking. So I used the VIP app to let you all know I did not want or need the VIP and have the cost refunded

Scammed and Unable to Get Refund

I booked a "fully refundable" stay at a hotel and was unable to cancel or get any refund. I made sure to check and I was choosing the refundable option when searching for hotels. Then they make you choose yes or no to THREE types of trip protection. So, after I've already chosen a room that says it's fully refundable, I have to then determine if I need one or all of the additional cancelation protections? Which one would have protected my trip? An additional $100 to protect my trip in various ways?
I did not accept any of these options because I had already chosen a room which was fully refundable. I paid and received a confirmation email which in VERY TINY font all the way at the bottom stated that it was a NONREFUNDABLE TRIP.
I tried every effort in the app to actually talk to someone and there is no customer service, just Q&A. Contacted the hotel and they said they cannot not do anything because it's booked through the third party. Again, searched the internet for some customer service line and to no avail. I reached out to my bank to have them dispute and cancel the charge as I was tricked and not getting the service which I had intended to pay for. Now the bank is trying to make me pay for this - even though I did not stay at the hotel and Hopper says they "have no evidence that I ever tried to reach out for assistance". HOW? Who can I talk to when they just send you in circles?
They documentation they provided to dispute my claim was not readable and they just basically left me to pay the bill. Absolutely tricking people and scamming them out of money.
