My family and I had a wonderful stay here. Friendly staff and housekeeping was always on time with towels. The atmosphere was quiet and it's right across the street from our favorite steak house Texas Roadhouse

Scam don't use

They gave me misleading information and charged me and I didn't get the rental car I paid for or I didn't get my money back. Hopper kept trying to blame everyone else instead of taking responsibility and giving me my money back.

Stay away

Initially the app seems helpful but then you get a short text showing your total charged which will be mysteriously a lot higher than advertised rate with many weird additional charges such as Hopper Tip, Cancel anytime feature etc that you never requested

Then you have to spend hours communicating via text with different people to try to get a credit for these

It is non intuitive and designed to scam you

They stole my money

They do not honor their cancel anytime insurance. I have even trying to dispute the charge and they provided false documentation to my credit card to avoid refunding the money they own me. I have been robbed of over $600. Shop elsewhere for your fights.

Hopper is a nightmare
December 6, 2022

I just spent six hours on the "VIP" chat (which I had to pay an extra $33 for) with Hopper trying to change a changeable flight. I told them the flight to change to and sent them a screenshot. They said the fare difference was $1188. That would have made my new fare cost $1738 when I could see on their site that it costs $1272. After 4.5 hours on the chat (I am not exaggerating), I just asked for my money back because I refuse to give one more cent to hopper. That process took an additional 1.5 hours. What a nightmare! Use Hopper to search if you want but DO NOT BOOK THRU HOPPER!

Very deceptive!

I purchased a price freeze, and when I received the confirmation, to my surprise it was for a flight that I wasn't interested in and had a super long layover (I'm traveling with 2 kids under 4, why would I choose that?)- not the flight I was getting the price freeze for. Not to mention, the prices wildly fluctuated. Trying to get any customer service is a joke and they basically tell you "too bad." I'm so horrified. They used to be a legit site.

Worst Service

Money deducted but Hotel never got booked. They don't reply to emails as well. This is the worst booking app. They trick you by showing low price

Use with caution!

I booked a cheap hotel for two nights as the price was cheap. I've been travelling on a budget. Hopper took £100 from my account. I couldn't pay for my hotel. I had to pay for the hotel again on arrival. The hotel room was only £60 per night. I couldn't get through to anyone at support.

I bought my flight ticket with hopper app and they charged me an unauthorized fee of $81 for a "flight delate guarantee" that I never requested. Now they don't want to give me neither a refund nor prove that I request that service. Do not add your credit card to that app or they will charge you fees for services that you didn't request.

That was the worst customer service I have ever had I was unaware of exactly what I was charged for 2 days after my stay then when I looked I had been way over charged I do not recommend this app to anyone

I booked a flight with the guarantee that I can cancel or change within 24 hours. I tried to change my flight 20 hours after I purchased the tickets and there was no customer service available, the app said I could not cancel. It's a loop trap they have so people are stuck with them. I used to like them... not anymore.

Terrible Customer Service

Thought this was a great tool when it was first available. Now, I would never recommend it. No help whatsoever, really the prices are not much different than the airline. Not worth the few dollars of savings! STAY AWAY!

DO NOT USE HOPPER

I cannot begin to describe how unbelievably disgusted I am with Hopper. My group and I were booking a flight for a bachelorette party, and we froze a price for a flight, with the impression that the cost of freezing the flight would be applied to our ticket, as the terms and conditions do not say otherwise. It mentions that if you do not go with that flight, your money is gone, but does not say booking it also means you loose your deposit. We didn't find out this little piece of information until after we booked 6 tickets, and was then told that the $228 we paid to freeze the flight is essentially lost.The customer service is absolutely sickening, they do not care about their customers at all. We were basically told by an agent and a manager "tough luck", and that they will not help us. They hide behind their terms and conditions, that are vague and misleading. 10/10 do not recommend using this app, you are better off going straight through the airline. This trip was for a bachelorette party, and now we are all stressed out trying to get our money back. My sister, the maid of honor, is trying to cancel our flight, and they are taking forever to get back to us so that we are past the 24 hour mark and cannot get a full refund.

Stole $1100 From Me

They stole $1100.00 from us. My wife made a reservation in error and immediately tried to cancel it and they would not cancel the reservation. She called customer service and was on hold forever before someone would answer, they were rude and obstructive.

The price freeze feature on Hopper is a big scam. The official website states that "If you decide not to book the flight within the Price Freeze expiration window, the Price Freeze fee remains non-refundable." Which heavily implies that it you do book it within the Price Freeze expiration window, the price freeze will be refundable. In addition to the disaster that is the Price Freeze function, the Customer Service is awful and the agents clearly follow a script as I came into contact with 2 agents, who simply replied with the same message and it's impossible to get a manager to call you back.

I would grade Hopper with zero stars but that is not an option.

Today I booked a hotel room for my wife and son on HOPPER. They were caught in a snow storm on I-90 right before Erie, PA. I went through the various screens to book and one screen said "Cancel For Any Reason". The fee noted was almost the exact same as the room fee, so it looked like it was only the room fee listed. The "accept" button said "US$60 for your entire stay". Which looks like a $5 fee is added on to the $55 (total) room fee. Under that line, in yellow, it says "Decline Cancel for Any Reason". But you know what? That is very easy to overlook when the line above says "US$60 for your entire stay". Well the "Cancel For Any Reason Charge" was an additional $55! I use Orbitz, Kayak, Tripadvisor, etc and there is never any charge like this waiting for you! Why would anyone think there would be? So, now I've been waiting for a full hour for "Flexibility & Disruption Team" to join the chat - You can't speak to a human by phone. This is the only way. I'm going to do my best to get a refund but I hav a feeling the best scenario will be a credit t use this crappy app again. I added the screen in question below to illustrate. Remember the room was $55. This does not clearly say it is an additional charge. No idea what will happen but I do not have ANY confidence in this app! What they did is borderline fraud! DON"T USE HOPPER! Just go with Orbitz, Kayak, or Tripadviser.

***UPDATE*** After a couple of hours with the app open (this is the only way to communicate with them), the third person I connected with approved a full refund of the $55 "Cancel at anytime" fee. But they pushed hard against a refund and only offered a credit at first. I'm still not happy with this app and won't ever use it again. If you use it, read every screen very carefully! And if you are in a hurry, SLOW DOWN. They will rob you if you're not very, very careful.

Terrible support

The added features are a joke. The insurance company they sell doesn't even deal with them anymore; all a joke. You pay extra for support but its not on the phone all messaging. Sub-standard platform. RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN

Free cancellation cost me $160.16!

I booked a hotel stay for a week with my daughter to the Florida Keys. After reading some Yelp reviews that were less than flattering on the hotel, we called to get information ourselves. Since the resort was not offering all of its pre-Covid amenities (hotel and bar open only part of the week and only 4 hours per day when open) but was still advertising them, we opted to cancel. I was within the cancellation period, yet when I checked my credit card statement today, I found that Hopper didn't refund the entire amount--they kept themselves a hefty $160.16. No reason, no way to contact them or dispute. I'm going to have to go through my credit card company to dispute. What a headache, and so dishonest.
