I have been trying to get somebody about my booking for a min now can't get nobody on the phone no chat on the app to get my money back this have to be against the law to do people like this we need to come together and look into a lawsuit about hopper because people work hard for their money not for scam to take it

I booked a room on Jan 4th, 2023. Paid 119.65 for a room and when I got to the hotel they said my reservation number was a fake and didn't exist. I ended up paying an additional 163 out of pocket to book the same room directly through the hotel. When I tried to contact hopper for a refund. I got no response. There's no freaking way to contact hopper. Everytime I try it says chat is down or there's no number. I've sent message after message and emails non stop but to no avail. I'm a single mom of three and we live in a shelter so we need every penny. The only reason I booked the room through hopper is because I believed it was a legit savings. I ended paying double than what I should have. I'm pissed and I still want my refund of 119.65. Don't EVER USE HOPPER!

I was purchasing a flight (entering my card) the site claimed to have some type of technical difficulty and when the page
Came back the price increased.
I then went to contact customer service and to my SURPRISE their options were legit, no help.
The kicker is that if you actually want to get in contact with someone they immediately advertise an upcharge of $25 to get
Pretty much be offered the same customer service courtesy every other site offers for FREE.
What a SCAM of an app and site. This was my first time ever using the site and I believe it will be the last time for me as well
Any family and friends I even hear remotely mention Hopper.

I've reached out so many times and their promise of getting back within 24 hours is false. They expect you to pay for VIP service if you want support, and they also try to get a tip from you for all their hard work. They took my money even though the hotel didn't charge me and I didn't stay there. And now they won't get back to me to resolve this. Definitely not recommending Hopper to anyone.
Also see attached picture, I ended up buying "protection" in case of flight issues and after the Southwest cancellations I thought I was glad I did and could get flight credit to book a different one in the future. I see the fine print after the cancellations, I get part of my $770 as credit. I can only book the same airports/destinations. They don't let me book anything other than basic economy, and only flights with stops and ridiculous flight times. They also don't allow you to split the credit so that if you find a cheaper flight, you will lose the remainder of the credit. They also blame the airline for all of this even though they took my money and won't respond to requests for support.

There are hidden rules with using flight credit and no number to call. Don't book with them. Not worth it.

I was trying to book three flights for my friends, for the first flight I booked the app glitched and booked the exact same flight for the exact same person TWICE and then when I tried to book a different flight for my friend and I the app glitched again and somehow did a price freeze that I did not need since I was trying to book right then and there. I reached out to hopper immediately about refunding the price freeze since it wasnt something I wanted or needed and it was a mistake on the app and they refused to refund it. I have had back and forth communication with them all day where the keep explaining the terms of the price freeze and completely ignoring the fact that I never even wanted the service. I will book my third friends flight elsewhere and DO NOT recommend this app to anyone anymore. They used to be so good I do not know what happened to them.

The hotel price appeared cheaper, turned out to be the same if not more after all the fees and deposit. On top of that, they charged me the deposit fee twice. It's been about 2 weeks and I haven't heard back from any customer service rep. The app wants you to upgrade to VIP support, aka pay money to get help. Ugh terrible, never using this app again!

On 12/16, Hopper offered us a lock on a flight to Amsterdam from Houston.
To get the price lock, we had to pay 90 per person, and the price would be kept good for us for 14 days.
We gladly paid.
Within 14 days, we decided to go ahead with our purchase and pay the balance.
We were notified, "Sorry, the tickets are no longer available, but don't worry, we will give you a full refund."
This is not acceptable. Upon our price lock, we made other reservations, including Air B and B, and we became emotionally committed to the trip. So upon learning that we would not be having the tickets from hopper, we decided to buy the tickets from NWA website. We paid 4254.60 for the tickets. We are seeking, as damage, the difference between what we would have paid, and what we ended up paying, because you did not live up to your end of the bargain. Basically, has the appearance of a scam. If you cancel they charge you. If you don't, they cancel, and don't charge you (give you a refund). SCAM.

Don't trust them! I bought them two tickets through their application more than six months ago for a travel from Mexico City to Colima. Some days later they notified me of a schedule change that I couldn't choose. Then they offered me a refund and I accepted but they didn't keep their promise. Every month I receive an e-mail from them promising me a refund that I suspect they will never pay me!
I have used Hopper before, back in March 2022, and had a great experience. I used the price freeze option on flights for my partner and I while we waited to hear back from his boss (we were almost 100% sure he would get the couple days off).
We decided to use it again to book a trip for the whole family this summer, we did price freeze again as we are a blended family and needed to confirm with the kids other parents, and again my partners boss (we had about 90% certainty this time). When we looked at flights we saw they were listed as 114$/per traveller so we paid a price freeze of 324.09. After getting confirmation from those we needed it from the next day, I noticed the price went down to 104$/per traveller. This is where it went down hill. They refused to honour the new price of 104/traveller and instead told me that the voucher was only applicable to ONE ticket, but because you can only contact through email this took ages. So we had no choice since doing to price freeze or we would lose that money. We ended up paying 114 for one ticket and 147 for each of the other four.
I then notice in my credit card statement that my price freeze was not deducted from the overall cost of the trip and that I had been charged 702 PLUS the 324. Meaning I paid over 1000$ for a trip that should have only cost 702, and even if I booked direct would have only been 835$
Hopper refuses to issue a refund on any of this, stating that price freeze is not a deposit but a method to cover their overhead incase of an increase, despite what their website states (notice it was screen shot today). DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE, TOTAL SCAM.

I had booked a hotel in San Diego on 3nd Jan 2023 which showed a refundable cancellation policy, if cancelled by 5th JAN. I cancelled on 5th Jan and the cancellation email shows that I won't be eligible for a refund. This is totally a scam. I have both the emails from hopper. One which says that I am eligible for a refund on cancellation and one which shows the opposite. DONT TRUST THIS SITE.

Very risky to buy flights from this company. I tried tirelessly to get refund from a cancelled flight but they decided to only give half my money back instead. I'm not sure how they decide how much to give back since they only list one total for the inbound and outbound flights. All they do is apologize for their terrible service but will still rip you off in the meantime.

Every hotel fails to honor your Hopper booking. This app is bogus and a scam. You will pay $15 extra fee for customer support but nobody is there. It's a total scam. Never again.

The airlines canceled my tickets because hopper didn't send them the ticket information, and there is no response from hopper.
Don't use this app! I'm not sure that airlines are any better but you can at least call and talk to someone.

I was going to purchase two one way tickets for $168 each. Hopper gave me the option to freeze the price for 7 days for $180 so I did it. What the heck right. Well, 5 days later I go to purchase my tickets. With taxes and insurance added the total all together was $370. I thought they would put the $180 toward that price. Boy was I wrong. I emailed them and there response was that was the fee. It can't be canceled or applied to the cost. To charge a fee that high is crazy! Had I known I would have waited. I can see a small fee but the price of one ticket. I will never use the hopper site again!

I would give them negative Stars if I could. Not only are they not clear that the price freeze payment is non-refundable they also will not stick by their word of actually maintaining the price freeze if something goes wrong with their application due to technical errors. Nor are they willing to realize or admit that sometimes people or Machinery makes mistakes and somehow I got double price freezed and got charged twice and then wasn't even able to schedule or book my room due to their app issues and couldn't get refunded any of my money! Lastly even getting a hold of someone in their customer service was ridiculous and I had to wait three days for an email back. I would not recommend this app service to anyone!

Wish I could leave a 0 star rating. First of all, why is there no customer service number? I booked a car rental on this app. Upon going to the rental location, I was unable to rent a car as the company had restrictions on which states the cars could travel to. I was going to a restricted state. (Ended up having to go to a different rental company last minute and paying more than double my original booking.) According to their joke of an excuse for customer service, this information was supposedly provided before paying (which I don't recall seeing anywhere). This information is not displayed anywhere when I go back and look at my booking on the app. However, a previous recent car rental booking I made on the app does show all the important information about my booking. Convenient how that booking provides all the information, but the one I want a refund for doesn't. Still waiting to here back again from them, but it's looking like I will receive nothing from them.

Answer: File a claim with your bank. They charged me An additional 2 nights after hopper said they would refund my money. Instead they went without my consent n charged me an additional 2 nights. I was robbed for a total of 3 nights. Without being able to contact any support. A total Scam!
Answer: No they are about polar opposite of trustworthy. Run don't walk away from this company. My lesson cost $1435 dollars. If you require customer service look elsewhere they have none. Not even a phone number which is the first red flag.
