Tried the hopper price freeze. They screwed me out of about $300.00... No phone CSR! Only chat! Takes forever to get a response and then they said we are sorry about the misunderstanding but we can't refund only give you a credit with hopper bucks. Do yourself a big favor stay away unless you love giving away money. Very confusing app! Uses pop-ups to generate confusion for customer... Keep using company your use too...( Priceline, hotels.com etc.) Really looking forward to seeing what computer generated response they give...

I recently tried to book a hotel through the Hopper app. Yes they have the cheapest prices I've seen, but when it comes to booking, it doesn't go through. After putting my payment information in & pressing submit to book, I was advised that "I won't be charged" but my booking did not go through. When looking at my bank account they definitely charged me. I contacted hopper and I was told that the release of my money would be given back after 24hrs (even though my stay was supposed to be the next day) and was told to contact my bank. I still don't understand that… because if my booking request didn't go through, why take my money and give me a hard time when trying to get it back? When contacting my bank they said it was nothing they could do until after 14 days because it says that the merchant is still finalizing the payment. I just think it's a scam because if I can't get my booking to go through I feel as though the payment should have never went through either. I will NEVER use them again. I might as well had paid regular price through the hotel itself. Customer service is impossible. There's no phone number and emails takes days to get a response. This make no sense. The worse app I've ever used. Now I can't go on my trip because I have nowhere to stay. Thanks Hopper… for nothing!

Had to pay extra just to chat to a customer agent. Been following up the issue. Same general apology and reply but no actual resolution. Been almost 2 weeks and they haven't fix or resolve my complaint. Contacted the hotel and they replied within an hour. Contacted hopper but still saying that they have to contact the hotel and that they have not replied.
Booked a specific room and hotel contacted me that the room type that i book on hopper isn't the same bookings received on their system.

I have contacted customer service 3 times since February 6th and would like to know why it doesn't show my $161 you took credited to where I am staying. Where did my money go? It was a a pay at the hotel reservation.

Paid for a price freeze but hopper never reserved a car for me! Never got a email confirmation so I called hertz and hopper never reserved a car for me! I made the reservation myself and asked hopper to return my price freeze deposit and they refused even though they never reserved a car for me! Never again will I use them!

This app is the worst! The customer service is terrible. You can only email back and forth--no way to call anyone--and they take forever to get back. Plus you get bounced around from agent to agent so nothing ever gets resolved. They cancelled my flight for no reason and blamed it on the airline. But the airline (Frontier) said it was Hopper! No one will take responsibility so now I'm out over $100. You don't really save money on flights because there are so many service fees. Plus you can't buy baggage so you end up paying way more through the airlines buying it later. Also airlines don't really like bookings through third parties, so then you have to deal with that. This app is just atrocious in my opinion. I will NEVER use them again!

The government needs to thoroughly investigate this company and charge the owners with fraud. It's a very dishonest business that is scamming everyone out of their precious time and money.

AVOID USING THIS APP AT ALL COSTS! The app is designed to confuse you & cause you to pile up charges that you have no interest in. And forget about getting anything refunded. How can you get a refund if you can't talk to customer service & they don't respond to any of your inquiries? I paid over $150 more for a hotel room than was advertised & what the hotel charged. When I checked in to two hotels on two consecutive nights, I got signed receipts what the room cost was. It was, however, paid through their app. The difference was enough to make my head spin. They throw all kinds of blockers into the booking process that you can't clear unless you click on them, but what they are are things like "We'll hold your room for $55 buy clicking here." Since I was budget traveling, the rooms I was trying to book were in the $50 per night range. So of course, I'll reserve the room for $55... what's a few dollars difference. Well the catch is, that's a fee in addition to your room cost. Hell... I'm doing this standing in the lobby of the hotel. Why would I want a rate freeze or to pay additional money when all I want is a #$*&@ room? Well then there is no way to clear those charges and they don't show you the total you are paying but no sooner than you blink, they have charged your credit card. With other booking apps, I've had an issue or two but got them resolved to satisfaction every time. Hopper isn't concerned with your satisfaction. Disputing it through my bank was a waste of time as Hopper told them they were valid charges, even though they know they charged me triple the room cost. They don't deserve the 1 star rating but there was no option for zero stars. What kind of high volume business doesn't have a customer service number to call? Hopper! Stay away from these crooks.

When you select the car type it says the price "including taxes and fees" $135 dollars in this case, when going to check out total went up to $208 over some BS fees. Fine seems it is what it is but when i got to the airport i came to find out the car they booked me is 7 miles away and there is no way to walk there from here. What am I supposed to do rent a car to take me to get my rental car? This app is complete trash going To delete it when I get home. I would recommend to you don't download it in the first place.

They trick you into paying to freeze a flight without clearly stating you will be charged. And of course, it is conveniently nonrefundable. Lots of people seem to be duped by this so watch out.

I had very bad experience with hopper. I want to change my ticket. I paid 222 extra for change or cancel ticket for any reason at the beginning so I don't have any issues later but when I told them I want to change the date they charged me another 1150$. I was talking to Roda G. Agent he told me I have to pay 845$. But after 5 mins he told me his shift is ending so he will transfer our conversation to another agent who was Dianne J. And he told me I have to pay 1150 in order to change my ticket. I mean how the hell in 5 mins ticket price changes to 845$ to 1150$. I got scammed I want everyone to know never get your tickets from hopper they are just rip offs. Be careful.

The customer support of hopper is worst. It is a scam website. For name sake it shows hotel booked. When we go to the hotel they said no room is booked. Raised a refund request 10 days back still no response from the support team. The deals are tempting but this is a scam application.

This was the worst app anyone ever suggested I download. I tried FOUR times to buy my ticket only to get a pending dollar amount noted on my bank app 3 times. However, the price freeze fee was taken successfully and immediately. The fourth time I went back thinking maybe the bank was wrong (even though I called them all 3x and they assured me there was no block or issues in their end) I tried a fourth time and got the same issue- pending dollar amount, confirmation number, even an email from the airline about my upcoming reservation. Clicked on the confirmation number- no itinerary found. Called the airline with the confirmation number- no itinerary found. I had to purchase from the airline and got the same deal. No secret beneficial discounts through the app, just aggravation.

This site is a total scam! They take your money, make it impossible for you to book your price freeze - I even called the hotel directly they had no booking under my name therefore I had to book directly through them and have lost an additional $105.52 which is almost a full days rate for trusting this company! You cannot contact them, they have no customer support links that actually work. I will be looking into a class action to have this dodgy site removed and wish I had read the reviews before trusting them!

I accidentally swiped on my phone to freeze a hotel booking. At no point in time the website tells me that it will charge me 682.00 to freeze my hotel booking and as I understand it is a fee not a deposit. Who charges a fee that high? How is this saving me money? I tried to get help from customer service and is not getting any luck. I've been a loyal customer of Hopper for many many years. Hopefully, the dispute on the charge with my credit card company will resolved this issue.

01/30/23 Made a reservation to stay at a hotel for Seven Nights. My reservation is for tomorrow I booked my reservation 6 days ago. I called the hotel to find out that I have no reservation even though I have paid through Hopper. I immediately try contacting Hopper through their customer support text message which you never get a reply. No phone call no one to talk to no one to make you feel just a little bit better that they will take care of this problem.

Answer: File a claim with your bank. They charged me An additional 2 nights after hopper said they would refund my money. Instead they went without my consent n charged me an additional 2 nights. I was robbed for a total of 3 nights. Without being able to contact any support. A total Scam!
Answer: No they are about polar opposite of trustworthy. Run don't walk away from this company. My lesson cost $1435 dollars. If you require customer service look elsewhere they have none. Not even a phone number which is the first red flag.
