'cancel anytime' is a scam
March 7, 2023

Bought a 'cancel anytime' ticket. Paid 140 for that. I had to cancel they keep on ignoring me. 20 emails, hours waiting with customer service, agents lying that they'll connect me to the 'right team' and disappearing.

I used Hopper for hotel in December 2022. My cc was charged by Hopper and also charged by the hotel. I reached out to hotel. They advised they were never paid by Hopper. Hotel could not get in touch with Hopper. I could not get in touch with Hopper to resolve. I disputed charge to Hopper with cc company. Somehow they were able to reach Hopper who advised charge was good. However, Hopper sent me an email back in February saying they would contact me to resolve and never did. I have reopened dispute with cc company and refuse to give Hopper my money. Stay away from this horrible company. Never again!

Complete and TOTAL scam!

I've never written a bad review in my life but this app is terrible and the price freeze option is confusing and just a complete scam. If you aren't a complete scam then you would prove it by refunding the money that you basically stole from me immediately! Everyone beware, do not use this app!

SCAM

I purchased a room from hopper, non- refundable of course. Well once I got to the hotel the manager told me there were no more rooms available yet I had a reservation that I had already paid hopper for. I get non-refundable but that is like saying I'll sell you a car and once the car is yours you can't return it, i understand that but the thing is I never got the car in the first place just like here, never got the room I paid for when I showed. Hopper advertised a room that was not available, this is false advertising. SCAM site. Quality INN - Winder Ga, Hispanic lady at front desk very rude and useless named Maria..

The Worst App Ever!

This is the most non legit app ever! They have no number to contact anyone, they don't even respond to emails! They take your money and set you up with hotels that are not even giving rooms and will not respond back to you for a refund. They fail to give full details when getting a rental car & when you're not able to get a car and what a refund, they don't respond back to you at any time. I suggest Not to use this company. They don't honor anything they say. They deceive everything they call themselves offering you. Be careful of where you spend your money. This app is trash!

Do Not Use - Zero Support

This company has ZERO support. I booked through them for the first time the other day and they booked me on the saver fair when I paid for main cabin. Long story short, they offer no service to resolve ANY issues. Once I started reading though the reviews, I realized how terrible this company is. I just don't want others to have to go through this. There are so many other credible websites and apps to books flights. Please don't use Hopper.

Hopper support for emergencies is limited though they make it seem as if they're being helpful. I was made aware of an airport emergency strike 1 day before I was to fly. I contacted Hopper and for 2 and a half hours I was on the phone (half hours on hold, have a fully charged phone!) before they got me a rerouted flight at an amazingly exhorbitant price. Because I had another flight the next day hinging on arrival schedule I had to accept or lose thousands of dollars already paid. They referred me to Insurance dept (I had opted for travel insurance) however it took another 24 hours plus to receive notification and I was out of the the country, out of email contact and they only kept the ticket open for 5 hours. I would have to open a new ticket and start all over. My suggestion: don't use Hopper unless it's for fun and you have time to be flexible about any changes. Should anything occur you will spend a lot of time and double your cost.

Waiting on refund

Was given a reference number
Insurance was taken out
Get to Enterprise only to be told they can't rent me the car
Contacted hopper support to get 50 Dollar refund
Was advised would contact me in Six hours
It has been six days
Because they haven't contacted me
It might take up to May 15 for me to get the disputed money refunded from my Bank
I will never use this App again

This Hopper crap is a scam they get you by showing you cheap prices and then when you Price Freeze they take your money quick and then there's no such info about the flight they took out the money for them there's a bull$#*! number to call that doesn't work and all questions are answered through their bots! I had frozen a price was charged and that flight never existed. Hope you bastards go bankrupt, THE ABSOLUTE WORSTTTTT! Scam, Scam,Scam!

I feel sorry for the customer service working having to deal with this terrible app... take my advice, forget that is a bit cheaper and delete this app before you lose more than you could possible save... not to mention the time taken to try and show and help hopper understand there ongoing issue. Which just have to be ignored by the customer service team as they have no power to fix it..

The worst site, don't waste your money here.

This is the worst site anyone can use to book their flights. I was charged 2x for the same trip. When I tried calling customer service hopper charges $20 to get you connected with a customer service rep otherwise you won't get thru. They also never refunded me my $332. That they double booked me for. They claim that I was aware of the cancelllation rules. I am but I didn't book twice, they charged me twice for the same trip. These people are con artists. Don't waste your money supporting a company that steals from the consumer.

Great app for predicting prices, but 100% avoid for booking. Flight changed by airline (15 hour layover) and I am still waiting over a week for a replacement flight. Every time Hopper emails the same original flight details, which I decline then no response. This has happened four times already, and now not even getting a response. Truly terrible (zero) customer service.

Unauthorized charges

Their app is NOT clear about PRIORITY support. They will charge $40 without being CLEAR that this is what they are doing.

When I actually try to submit a request to support, the internet mysteriously is unavailable on THEIR app, but other apps are just fine. I even editted and restarted.

Hopper advertised a rate for a hotel (I have pictures) and when I reserved me they overcharged me. I was charged $200/night for a room and have the photo of the advertised price (same room same night) at $173. Within minutes I reached out with no response and for the last 3 weeks I have continued to send emails all unanswered (I have them all). I can only deduce that Hopper's business model is nothing more than bait and switch. I am stuck in an overcharged room rate and refuse to pay the additional $25 for the privilege of having potential access to a live agent - the only way that Hopper allows its customer service to be in contact (which at this point I don't trust at all). I had assumed that the overcharge was a mistake but now am completely convinced that Hopper is in the bait and switch business so buyer beware. Perhaps by filing this story on every travel and review website I might get their attention that someone is on to their game. Buyer beware.

Refunding money
February 25, 2023

I booked a hotel for Valentine's night with my girlfriend. We get to the hotel, and the front desk agent rejected my reservation. I emailed hopper for my refund back, because I prepaid for my room on the sight. I never got a response other than a generated response from a computer. I tried contacting someone for days. I gave up. They took $82 from me. I never got it back. It's not the first time for hopper taking someone's money.

Never use Hopper.com to do your booking. They have this hidden charges they put on your credit card. They want give u a phone number to get in touch with them. The phone number on my statement doesn't work. I have email them about this and they want give me a number to call.
