Horrible service

This is a horrible app. They have no customer service. You message them and you don't hear back for days. Don't buy the insurance. It is not worth it. In fact just book through the airline. This is a joke of a service to book through.

I seriously use this app for every flight that I book! It's so helpful to get notifications telling me that prices have dropped and that I should book now. Without hopper, I'd have no way to track the prices and would pay WAY more than I need to!

Great people, great team but only use it to watch trips. The airlines won't budge on changes when it's booked through a third party like hopper.

Short story trying to change name on a ticket and the airlines told me only hopper can do it and hopper says only airlines can do it. The airline said had I booked through them it wouldn't have been a problem. So after all the back and forth I bought another ticket instead and ate the costs because what the airline recommended m, "leave the ticket open and use it as a credit" hopper said they couldn't do that although the airline says they should be able to.

Aside from this warning great app. It does what it's intended to do.

I thought I "successfully" booked a flight because it appeared on my list of upcoming trips as confirmed. The flight didn't get charged to my card but I read it might take a few days to show so I waited. After a few weeks with my flight still confirmed but no transaction on my account, I decided to ask and was told the flight never got booked because the prices changed between the moment I chose the trip in the search results to the moment I tried to book (yet the application never informed me of this). I was told to try and book again. The prices were already about $150 higher, and this time when I selected the trip I wanted to book, I got an error saying the flight wasn't available anymore... At least this time I got a message. I went ahead to find flights on Google Flights, where I found cheaper and AVAILABLE flights.

Customer Service

I made a mistake while booking my flight (my maiden name was saved in my profile). The app says that if you have any issues to start a chat. I send my issue via the chat and they got back to me within 2 hours saying what I needed. Within the hour I attached everything that was needed and it has now been 19 hours since I have sent the necessary information and have not heard back from them. I called the airline and they cannot change my reservation because it was booked through Hopper. My flight is tomorrow and without the name change, I will be unable to board. Hopper does not have a phone number to call for customer service so now I'm stuck. The search results are fantastic using this app, I just recommend taking the search results and booking directly through the airline.

No alert
September 1, 2019

Received no alert my freeze was over so I had to pay more. Now have no back up for if I get sick. I'm 68 w/chronic pain. Can't believe flights don't auto carry baggage and cancellation if you have a good reason.

Don't bother
September 3, 2019

Notifications never worked. Told me to "wait" when the ticket was ridiculously low. Of course prices jumped and stayed high. I've been monitoring for fun and the "predictions" haven't been right yet. Much easier to follow/ watch prices using the carriers' site.

Payment issues...
September 5, 2019

Zero stars...I found great prices on flights, so have been trying to book using hopper...4x it keeps saying my card is declined (not possible, no where near my limit), then I tried another card and it said something went wrong. I just checked my banking info online and hopper has possibly processed all of these attempts. Now I have to sort through this mess. Totally frustrated with hopper...this was my first experience:(

App is of no value.

Will find you routes that when normally are 10-13 hours nonstop instead are 2 ten hour legs separated by a 16 hour over night layover. This app = waste-o-time.
